You're not going to find that record in any business unless the owner is a really good guy..... and Steve is just that! Last November I got a commitment from a company in Wayne, Pa. to do my underground automatic sprinkler system. By April he was MIA and then totally ghosted me, finally telling me that he was just too busy to take on my property. Really??? I was so disappointed because I invested six months (!!) into waiting for this company. But then I called Underground Sprinklers, Steve said he was overwhelmed but was still willing to come out and give me an estimate and take a peek. 10 days later, I had the first stage of my underground sprinkler system installed. We have nine zones with an option to expand even more. Each zone can be customized to Water for the exact number of minutes you choose, and in the end, you can have different time frames for each zone. The whole system is so beautifully designed and an architectural wonder! Steve is a very unique employer who gives his heart and soul into every job and prioritizes customer satisfaction. So I would give them an 11 out of 10 stars... You will never regret it if you hire them- and you'll get the best of the best, and finally have peace of mind to enjoy holidays and weekends away, so you will know that your investment into your perennials, vegetables, and flowers won't be ruined by a week of drought conditions. I rely on their recommendations and design for the best solution for each added landscaped area and they never go overboard on equipment and pricing. After adding a large flower bed this spring I knew we needed their help and when i called, they were booked out for 3 weeks so I planned to hand water and wait for them rather than call someone else. Three days later, operations manager Steve calls me on Friday afternoon, said he'd just looked over the property and if it was ok, his crew could be over in an hour. Next thing I know, his team of 8 was digging around all of the new planting, carefully running a new line, moving sprinkler heads, replacing the turf, re-spreading the bark mulch and testing each zone. A 3 week schedule became 3 days, with the work completed by Friday evening. Sure we're a good customer and expect good service but this effort was outstanding.

Spring clean up was usually sufficient, and mowing every two weeks was ok. I understand his prices are on the low side, and so I figured I pay for what I get. At the very beginning, I explained that all leaves needed to be blown to the front of my property - at the curb but not in the street. They get picked up by the town, which has simple rules. He did that for the most part, but every once in a while I noticed he blew the leaves to the back of my property, where they would never get picked up. Sometimes he denied it, and sometimes the excuse would be that they were too wet to blow to the front. (Every other landscaper did it properly - why couldn't he?) This last time, he blew all of the leaves in the back of my house to the back of the property. When I emailed him to tell him it needs to be blown to the front, he said it was NJ Transit's trees, so their leaves, so that's why he blew them onto their property. I was speechless. That response was absurd. Considering I have a huge, 80+ year old tree in the back of my house, his response was beyond ridiculous. (I was actually hoping he just had a bad day, and would re-think his response, and take care of the leaves, but that didn't happen. That's really why I waited so long to write this review - I wanted to give him an opportunity to make things right.) He also never bothered removing the branches that fell before and/or during the season. I actually had to gather them up myself and move them to the front of my property. I asked him to remove them at that point - and he said he would. Instead of removing them, he buried them under the leaves he blew to the front of my property. I didn't even realize that until they (Chatham Boro) came to remove the leaves, and discovered the branches. They got pissed off (rightly so) and tossed them all over my lawn. I emailed Michael and told him what happened, and once again I asked him to pick them up - and he said he would. He never showed up, and I had to arrange to have them removed. Now, the leaves he blew onto the back of my property are all over my property as well as my neighbors properties. It looks like it was never even done! If I am asked to clean up the mess, I will be taking Mariano Landscaping to small claims court to recoup my expenses. There were other issues, but these were the most blatant issues. I highly recommend that you spend a little more for someone who is ethical, honest, responsible and reliable with at least an inkling of common sense.

Our company hired P&S and they were reliable for a month or so, and were supposed to do some major landscaping towards the end of summer. Jump forward from late July to end of August. We tried contacting them multiple times using multiple formats (i.e. text, phone call, voice mail, e-mail) and we wanted to know when the landscaping was going to get done and we were happy with the lawn maintenance. We even asked how they handle their billing as we never received an invoice. To this day, we have yet to hear back from anyone. I honestly hope nothing major has happened to any of the parties, and would hope that we get some type of answer to our many attempts at reaching them.
