Normally ski with my wife, but she recently broke her leg, and I was reluctant to drive the 5+ hours up and back by myself. Found Alpine Express online and was easily able to navigate the process of securing a seat. The day went exactly per their itinerary. I boarded at the north stop at 6:00AM. I was greeting by our friendly captain - Andy. He passed out water & cookies, answered all questions and made sure that everyone was set to go. The ride up was nice, especially since it was a newer bus with only 5000 miles. The other passengers were friendly but kept mostly to themselves or their small groups. Some passengers shared the double wide seats. I was lucky and had the double wide seat to myself. Most passengers slept part of the way up. After arriving at Snowbowl, the interior of the bus was open for an hour or so for everyone to get organized to hit the slopes. Towards the end of the day, the interior of the bus opened again to get on board. We always had access to the compartment underneath for food and other items. The bus departed right at 4:15AM for the Valley. The trip was again uneventful and the other passengers friendly and respectful. We arrived at the drop off point on schedule. Cost was a little more than $40, which is far less than I would have paid for just gas. If ever going solo for a day of skiing will use Alpine Express. read more

I've take ALEX twice already and am always thoroughly impressed. I will never try driving during a weekend visit to Snowbowl again. No hassle of driving, dealing with entry to the mountain or worrying anCaptains are extremely friendly and helpful, busses are comfy and booking and rescheduling online or through support are very easy. I have been using Alpine Express for years and it is by far the best way to travel to the slope from the valley. The bus is great and so are the people. Super comfortable. They park near the lift. Love this service. If you are that worried about masks that don't work then you should not be skiing at the Snowbowl or be out in public. Doesn't your own mask work anyway? It is going to get worse and worse for the woke as the Covid narratives start falling apart under the lies that the sheeple wish to continue to believe. Wake up! read more

The experience was 10/10! The bus shuttle was very clean and the staff was even better. I had the pleasure of having Ken Sparks and Steve Ewing as the hosts and they were outstanding! Especially my man Steve, they handed out bottles of water and even good cookies when we were going home from the mountain. It was a fun time and I highly recommend it to anybody who wants to kick back, and relax after a fun day on the mountain! read more

Yes, this is about as good as it gets. What can be better than a day on the slopes and not having to drive? Here are some details: the pickup was right on time. Craig texted everyone before arrival. The bus was a big, immaculate Volvo tour bus with a luxurious ride. Craig made sure everyone was sufficiently hydrated with bottled water. We arrived at the ski area early, and Craig fetched the lift tickets for those who purchased them through ALEX. Tip: unless you have a season pass, buy discounted lift tickets through Alpine Express. At the end of the day we all met at the bus for a restful quick trip back to Phoenix. Craig put on a movie to keep us entertained. I can't recommend this service enough. read more

Do you want to go skiing for the day at Snowbowl but don't want to drive? Put chains on your car? Wait in line for lift tickets? For barely more than the price of the lift ticket, these nice people have you covered, and will take you up on the bus, park right near the lodge and run and get your ticket for you so you don't have to wait! The trip includes the price of the lift ticket or if you have a season pass, the bus fare alone is very reasonable too! I have been up the last three weekends in a row. The bus is nice and has a bathroom, etc. They offer trips every Friday, Saturday and Sunday and leave from two convenient locations - Tempe Marketplace and Happy Valley Towne Center. It is a no brainer - just book it! read more

Highly recommend! Very affordable and the staff was super courteous. You can also buy a combo of transportation and lift tickets for cheaper than it would be to buy tickets at snowbowl and they take care of everything. It was nice to sleep on the way up and relax on the way back after a long day on the slopes! I would highly recommend using Alpine Express, I will definitely be using it again! read more

First time riding the Alpine Express coach bus! My friend and I had a wonderful experience. Our guides and driver were very friendly and informative (not to mention they handed out donuts to all the passengers ). The bus was clean and comfortable. Chairs recline similar to airplane seats and there's foot rests too. We departed and arrived on time & they let us know that Flagstaff just got a couple feet of snow. The bus is comfortable and the driver very competent. The captain was fun and it was nice to have someone drive for me. However, if you are worried about COVID, this is NOT the bus for you. The email that you receive before your trip states that "Face coverings are required. Alpine Express requires all customers to wear a face covering throughout the entire travel period. At this time, no other exemptions are allowed." Stupidly, I believe them. My mistake, but you don't have to make the same mistake. You can find another company and maintain your health. Aside from my family and a smattering of a few other people, the majority people on the bus do not wear masks, nor does the driver or the captains. I asked the captain about this before the trip started and he stated "I can't require anyone to wear a mask." He made a gesture at safety by handing out masks that were promptly tossed on the floor by the other passengers. I felt tricked. I thought that they would follow the guidelines that they established, but they didn't. Just be aware of this before you book. read more

Alpine Express is the the best thing so nice sliced bread! Someone else does the driving while you sit back, relax, sleep or make new friends on the bus...All for the price of a lift ticket which is included. And the the staff is amazing and they are so much fun! read more
