Both times I've visited Lucerne, Switzerland for their Sideways lindy and blues event, I have taken a boat ride to Mount Rigi and have ascended Mount Rigi via the cog railway. It is also tradition to have lunch at Alpine Inn Kessiboden. They have a simple menu featuring game sausages raclette with potatoes, couple desserts like apple kuchen, and a coffee drink with alcohol and whipped cream.
I can personally attest everything is delicious. I especially enjoy the sausages with some bread and mustard. The raclette comes sizzling on the plate. With the potatoes, it's a hearty meal if you have a vegetarian traveling with you. And if you want to listen to your Swiss friend become more bold with her English, have the coffee drink.
There's also a very friendly cat. I'll post some pictures. If you come up this, be sure to visit this Alpine Inn. read more
