Delicious fondue! We went for their special, they had a three part menu with multiple kinds of fondue and chocolate, it was pricey, but definitely worth it. The service was fast, the servers were very knowledgeable, and everything was delicious and portions were huge! Definitely bring your appetite and multiple people

Must try!!! there Food was delicious !!! Service was great. Will explain how to order. And provide you with suggestions It's upstairs so you would need to find the staircase leading you upstairs Ask to sit by the window you'll have a nice view and breeze of Switzerland. - get the truffle fondue it's the best!!!! ( that's if you like truffle) Very flavorful truffle taste - thinking of it still makes my mouth water!!! Best thing that I have order !!! Would definitely recommend!!! Keep in mind there many other restaurants on the first floor that's right by the water. So you'll have to pick and choose if you want to try those restaurants or try this place that is located upstairs. But you won't go wrong with choosing them cause the food are definitely worth trying!!!

This place was very touristy. The menu is way too large. We had a reservation. They seated us in a nice spot that had not been cleaned yet but we soon noticed that a student tour group of about 40 American middle schoolers was there. They were extremely loud and unpleasant. The restaurant did nothing to control the situation. What was supposed to be a romantic meal turned into a middle school cafeteria. We waited about 15 minutes and there was still no service. When we were seated the waitress said she had a lot of tables and was working on her own. It looked like the restaurant only had attention for the giant tour group. I understand wanting to have business on a Tuesday night but they should just close to the rest of the public and not allow reservations if they are going to cater to tour groups. We decided to leave to go enjoy a much more calm meal elsewhere. It's not like they were serving us anyways. A waiter apologized for the noise on the way out at least.

Hmmm. Waitress disappeared after taking our order- never returned. Someone else delivered the food and we had to flag someone else down to pay. Cheese fondue was delicious. Tomato soup was non-descrip. Chinesisch fondue wasn't bad. Restaurant is a little rundown. We didn't try other fondue houses in Lucerne to compare, but we definitely wouldn't come back to this one. It's no Melting Pot.

This place was amazing! Our server made our experience fun and memorable. We sat by the windows, looking out at the river. The courses came out at our pace, and the food was delicious! So much food, but we ate it all. Highly recommended!

I would just like to say that for the Swiss experience, this place is a must! I didn't have very many expectations for the food, and I was so surprised with how good it was. You definitely get your moneys worth! There was so much food out, and all of it was delicious. The staff was exceptional- everyone was incredibly friendly, and very great to talk to. The place is also adorable- if you are in need of a place to eat and you have the time for the full meal with the cheese, meat, and chocolate, you should definitely try it!

We loved our experience here. The service was friendly and we had the best table in the place--overlooking the river. The cheese fondue was everything I imagined it would be--gooey, hot and oh so tasty. It came with bread and a bowl full of small potatoes. We ordered an extra side of fresh veggies too. For dessert we ordered the chocolate fondue, but only for 1 since we were quite full from the cheese fondue. Our friend ordered the meat fondue and loved every bite. Make reservations or get there early. It's worth it!

Great food and service in a crowded but friendly environment. We shared a large table with others and loved it. Daniel is an excellent waiter and the alpine schnapps is tricky!

All around good fondue, from the cheese, traditional, and chocolate! A good choice if fondue is what you're after.

We didn't have a reservation for lunch, but they warmly welcomed us to the upper dining area. There was a very large tour group seated in the lower front part near the stage. The lovely show announcer asked us where we were from (USA), and told us that we arrived just in time to see their show. Yay! There were people of all nationalities enjoying their hospitality. Our server (Linda) arrived shortly after that with our menus. She was great! We ordered a big bottle of still water for our drinks. I just had to try the traditional Fritschi Pastete from Kreyenbühl Bakery while my husband ordered the Pork Cordon Bleu. All the menus around town were heavy on veal. My husband was happy to see "schweins" on this menu. Everything was good! Honestly, I could have done without the ring of rice. I would have been happier with some veggies or boiled potatoes. The rice around the pastete wasn't that good, but I guess it's there to soak up the sauce that flows out of the pastry. The size of the whole dish was a bit overwhelming. In retrospect, I should have ordered something lighter. I was barely able to eat half of it. It was a very large portion. The meat (veal) & sauce was gamey. Most people love that. It's a Swiss tradition. The boozy raisins served with it was a treat. Let's just say it was a good food exploration. My husband really liked the creamy mountain cheese in his Cordon Bleu, as well as the crispy fries. The best part was the Folklore Show. This is what draws everyone here. It may seem touristy to some, but I found it to be very cultural. I honestly don't get the lower reviews for this place. Why did you even pick this restaurant if you don't like seeing traditional Swiss culture? It was a great performance! It was cool to hear the music and sounds of the Alps. This included the Alphorn music as well as yodeling. I loved it! It was also interactive. They brought up volunteers to the stage to blow into the alphorn, and to dance with them. We would have stayed longer but we had to get back to sightseeing. There's never enough time in the day to do everything. I totally recommend a visit if you're looking for traditional Swiss food & culture. There's raclette and fondue dishes including Fondue Chinoise (or Hot Pot). There are vegetarian offerings as well as a full bar of drinks. It's a cool & clean atmosphere. A very enjoyable experience!

We arrived on a Saturday night and it was busy. We shared a table with another group, but they were leaving. We ordered the cheese fondue and a steak. The fondue was great. As was the steak. It was a good portion but I totally could have had a second pot of fondue easily. It took a while for the food to come out. There was not much communication about the delay with the food so we were just left wondering until it finally came out. It also took a while to locate the server when we were ready to pay the bill. All in all it was great food and would recommend to anyone - just pack some patience.

The waiter was a true pleasure. A young Hispanic man that had lived in Spain. He was very accommodating and attentive. The view and atmosphere was unbeatable. The food was so delicious. Plenty of indoor seating is available, but seems like a waste of a gorgeous view and a clear day. Check out the bathroom inside-- hand painted porcelain bowls and an oil painting in the stall make you feel like royalty as you wee. The Hugo cocktail was nice, but a little diluted by ice. Ironically, the drinks here usually do not arrive with ice (and I love my ice). We thought we requested tap water, but received 2 small carafes of iced water for a 9 charge of Swiss francs. At least the water was served with lemon slices. The pasta dish was tasty-- a creamy Parmesan sauce with bits of bacon. The beef tartar looked better than it tasted-- it was infused with some sort of tomato sauce that didn't work well with the dish. If you want the view and can find a seat, go for it. If you are looking meticulously for fine dining, skip it.

The puff pastry was nice but overall the dish was salty and again, not enough meat. 3/5 A lot of people complained about the service here on review sites but our server was great.
