If your renting a snowboard go elsewhere, everyone else in the building was great, but down in the snowboard paintball section, it seemed like they didn't like helping people, didn't like answering questions, and gave an overall attitude to us the whole time, I wish I told the guy I'll just go down the street for my girlfriends rentals. read more

You will find Cheaper ski rentals and nicer people here. Their equipment looked brand new to me and really nice quality too. I was very impressed with their store. They also offer outer wear rentals like ski jackets and ski pants. Thankfully they had plenty of toe and hand warmers (which you WILL need!) to buy. The people here are really nice & helpful. There's also three dogs walking (or sleeping) around which is a nice distraction, especially if you have kids you want to entertain while you complete the rental paperwork. Very efficient business. We ordered ski equipment for my sons friend who we took on vacation to the Poconos. We walked in told the ski tech our information and we were out of there in less than 5 minutes with skis, boots, poles, and a helmet. My husband two children and I, stopped here to get some souvenirs on our way home. An employee- not sure if she is the owner or not- had a large dog perhaps a laberdoodle- at the threshold of the store. My husband and oldest son approached the door and the dog barked at them. My husband then asked the woman if she could get the dog so we could come in. He told her our youngest son will be afraid of the dog. She refused to get the dog, stating "he lives here and he's staying". She was unwilling to even get the dog to allow us to come into the store. It was embarrassing and disheartening. My children had been looking forward to stopping at this particular store and her unwillingness to demonstrate a modicum of professionalism ruined this experience. Given that the dog barked at my husband and son, why would we risk attempting to go further into the store? Her immediate dismissal of patrons in lieu of her dog makes me question her actual desire to make money. Now, I think I should also mention that my family and I are African American and the employee or owner was white. I would hate to think that her unwillingness to support us visiting the store had anything to do with our race. However, it is hard not to call that into question. We frequent the Poconos regularly and will NEVER visit this establishment again due to the anguish and embarrassment she caused our family. If I could give zero stars I would. I was in there for a ski trip and I asked about when to turn it in and I was told I can get a half-day rate just bring it in early the next day which I did and then when I did I was told it was past 10 AM and I'd have to pay a full rate. That's fine but i told the manager that the clerk told me differently without mentioning the 10 AM part and I was just told by the manager that I was wrong and that his employees are always right no compromise or customer satisfaction I won't book go back there again . read more

I don't understand the good reviews that this place has gotten!!! Their rentals are complete garbage. The staff is also unknowledgeable and don't listen to your needs. I've never been to a rental shop where they only have one kind of boots and skis. When I say one kind, I'm saying no name brand and worn out! We paid extra for the high performance ski, boots and pole package, and we received the same boots and skis as anyone else. How is that high performance (not for beginner as they stated) if you're getting the same crappy brandless stuff that beginners are getting?? The boots had slide-in plastic fasteners!!!! What year are we in??? Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. ANYWHERE ELSE! The Camelback resort offer at least Salomon gear. It's worth the extra $10 or $3 in our case. On my way to Camelback, there are a few ski / snowboard rental shops but this is my favorite one. 1. They are a few dollars cheaper than their competitors. 2. The equipment is clean and in good condition. 3. There is no wait to rent and return. 4. The staff is quick and friendly with the whole rental process. 5. You can order your rental ahead of time for an even faster rent process!! I have my own equipment now, but I always make sure my friends who rent, stop here. read more

Last ski/snowboard rental before you get to Camelback. Prices were cheaper than renting at Camelback and hours were really good. Open till past when the slopes are closed. It was crowded when we got there (snowboard rentals), but it only took about half an hour to get gear for 2 people. The shop is pretty large and it even has a taco shop inside which smelled really good. read more

My friends and I love this place. It's conveniently located and the staff is friendly and helpful. They have a huge selection of gear, not to mention we saved a lot of money on our ski rentals. Also, the staff was super accommodating when they allowed me to exchange gloves and pants after a full day of skiing in them. Additionally, I love that there are two cute dogs and a cat to hang out with while you wait. We will definitely be getting our gear here next season. read more

Spent two days at camelback with my kids. While others I was with spent double the price to rent skis at the mountain, I drove less than 5 minutes to alpine and rented skis, boots and poles for $20 for each of us. The whole process took less than 20 minutes. In middle of the day, my son complained his boots were hurting - I took him back to alpine and they were so helpful and found him a new pair that were much more comfortable. Again as quickly as possible. I definitely recommend alpine ski rental. Great prices and service with a smile. Cant wait to be back read more
