The husband was the breakfast guy. We found out that the lady made a special arrangements for us to stay just one night. Normally, you'd have to stay longer--in our defense the reservation website we used did not specify this requirement, though. Our comfortable room provided us with great sleep quality with a comfortable queen-sized bed and a nice quiet room. Free wifi is always appreciated. We thought we might hear some cows going out in the morning, but we didn't. It was a very decent breakfast buffet with good varieties. It was busy and we could not get a table in the sun room/porch, but it was just fine in a traditional room nonetheless. It was an excellent stay overall in this cute pension.

This is a quiet gem in the Lower Engadine in Switzerland and offers the perfect balance of Swiss hospitality, convenience, location and surrounded by sheer beauty. As a three star hotel it offers comfortable, clean rooms furnished nicely and a superb dining room. Their chef shines at dinner with outstanding five course meals. The wine list is hand chosen by the hotel's owner and all are superb and are geared to enjoy with meals at reasonable prices. The hotel is very convenient to transportation and the ski lift which is 1 minute away. The south facing rooms have lovely balconies which face the mountains providing spectacular views. All around, this was a great place to stay while spending a week skiing in St. Anton…read more There's a strong list of amenities: reasonably good sized rooms (some of which have balconies), an impressive array of sauna rooms (though wish the hours weren't limited from 3-8 PM), a great apres ski bar in the basement (with live music throughout the evening), helpful staff at the front desk and in the dining room, and a short walk to the gondola. This end of town is a bit quieter than if you were more centrally located (near the Galzig gondola). However, you're near a handful of ski stores, as they are next to the gondola which makes it easy to pick up ski rentals. The ski bus is also in close proximity if you're looking to take it to St. Christoph, Lechs, Zurs, etc. Rooms had just enough space, but were generous with closet space for hanging items up, etc. Water pressure in the shower was great and hot water was never an issue. Two of my favorite elements of the hotel were the extensive sauna rooms in the lower level (one infared, one steam, and one Finnish). They supply towels in the area, just bring your robe from the room. Secondly, the Keller Bar in the basement became a fixture in our week long stay. From 5-7, there was a great cover band and from 9-11 was a more acoustic set. Both were quite entertaining. The staff was helpful and were able to help out group secure our lift tickets and charged it to our room at the end of the week. Very thoughtful!

They definitely have an eye for quality. Some rooms use a community bathrooms and showers while others have very small, blue, ultra-modern bathrooms crammed into the room. The bathroom experience is worth the stay in itself, but you are going to love every other aspect of the hotel as well. Bergun is a nice small village of farmers with easy access to hiking trails. We enjoyed visiting the church and going to the bakery.
