In front of the hotel you have a big garden/fountain access triangular shape space that is common to 3 buildings where you will find taxis 24/7, also in the same space there is a cafe/restaurant food is good ate a few snacks there the fillet Mignon sandwich is good, But!! caipirinha sucks, also there is a nice beer bar next door, this places are not part of the hotel. Now the hotel, i agree with other reviews on the fact that is fairly basic on the amenities but first of all free continental breakfast with coffees, different juices lots of fruits, eggs different breads, sausages, lots of pastries, and more, also the plus of being on the top floor of the hotel with open views of the entire city, trust me this is a plus because most hotels charge for breakfast. you have a fridge, microwave and small sink in the room, also cups forks knifes and other things, no range. They have frozen food to buy at the lobby so you can use it in your room or they have a full menu and room service. bathrooms were good nothing special about them most important is that they were clean and in great condition, you have towels no bathrobes. Every outlet is V220 no 110, also the shape of them is different you have one adapter for flat plugs in the room but you can ask for more. if you want to use the safe box in room you have to fill a paper with creditcard info it seams each box has only one key so if you loose it you will pay like $400 reals, So DONT loose and return the key before leaving. a few of the employees speak English but not all of them, for sure they try their best to communicate with you. No supermarkets or grocery stores around, behind hotel there is a big shopping mall called "Shopping conjunto nacional", with lots of stores from clothing to electrodomestics, lots of coffee shops and fast food options located on third floor. Also like 10 min walk or maybe less there is another shopping called "Shopping Brasilia" that is similar but smaller, the good thing about this place is there is a doubledecker tour bus that lasts like 2+ hrs and for $50 reals takes you to all the touristic buildings an places, one departs at 10:30 another at 12:30. Over all really safe area in the center of Brasilia.

Room service was surprisingly good, as was the free breakfast. Great selection of fruit, fresh breads, and cereals with soy milk. The staff at this hotel completely ruined my experience. Check in took ages, and any question or assistance that I needed seemed to burden and overwhelm the staff. No one spoke English. I had an airport shuttle booked for 9am which didn't arrive until almost 9:25, and I almost missed my flight. Also extremely disappointing was the pool, which was honestly 80% of the reason I booked this hotel. Photos of the pool are included in every advertising photo that the hotel uses, and low and behold, it was out of order. I wouldn't stay here again.

Within 24 hours of checking in, we had hair in our food, a dirty, old, unmaintained room (A/C & TV didn't work, sink didn't drain, hand sprayer in shower was broken), 2nd problem with A/C in which there was a loud knocking noise all night long. To make this worse, the sliding glass doors to the balcony, where the A/C units are located, were broken and didn't close completely. Wi-Fi throughout the hotel is terrible. Despite numerous communications before & after our arrival & WhatsApp confirmation that they were going to, not a single request had been fulfilled 48 hours after check-in. First day we requested housekeeping 4 times & they never came. 48 hours after we arrived and had unpacked, they told us we had to move rooms, initially just trying to put us in the same room type until they finally upgraded us. Even the upgraded "Master Suite", has a loud whistling noise from wind moving around the sliding glass doors, something the employee told me is a problem in all the rooms. If you want a good night's sleep, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO BE! Also, I was highly offended that Accor has employees wearing LGBTQ+ pens on their lapels, with complete disregard to the personal beliefs of their guests. More importantly, no corporation should be promoting a political position. If that's the case, employees should be wearing Black Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matters & a whole host of other personal and political beliefs. Employees of any corporations should never be promoting personal and political beliefs or campaigns in the work place.

This hotel Norte Quadra 5 Bloco G is actually the Grand Mercure EIXO hotel…read more This is my fourth stay at this hotel. It is one of the most schizophrenic places I've stayed at. First room was meh. 2nd one was interesting. 3rd one was average. The 4th one meh. And it is things like cleanliness that fail here. I get they are in a water restriction but does that keep them from vacuuming the carpets? Then the thing that kept them at 2 stars is the condition of the water hose next to the toilet is disgustingly dirty on this 4th stay. In addition the sliding doors to the patios have no locks on them. This just terrifies me that someone could break in. But I'm also a sleep walker so I had to find ways to barricade the access to the sliding doors as last thing I need is to find myself trying to walk off the patio. Some other cons. Never do I seem to get the same set of soap or shampoos. Always seems to be a different company/brand. This time there is no sliding door in the cabinet where one is supposed to hang their clothes. My last stay the toilet seat looked like they had gone and taken it from an abandoned building it looked so bad and broken with no nubs on the underside. I really do not understand this hotel. It is run more like a motel. For some reason breakfast is not included in my rates. Unusual because in most other hotels in Brasil (granted, other cities) breakfast was included. It isn't a bad breakfast but some days the flies are too much and I can't eat the food and seems a bit pricy at R$39 to me. And they do not provide wash cloths so make sure to bring your own. And no coffee machine so you'll need to figure out how to make coffee. I use my water bottle and some instant coffee but I can see how some people would not like that. And check your bill carefully on checkout. On my first stay they charged me R$4.95 mini bar which I didn't use. But I didn't notice until I went to do my expense account (it was a long stay so several pages and I missed the one line). So take your time reading the bill. I did have a problem on my 3rd trip where I had to leave early. They didn't immediately do anything to sort my bill out (they charge the entire stay to your credit card when you checkin) so one of my local colleagues had to follow up with them to find out why they didn't fix my charges for the nights I didn't stay and to fix my charges. My only tip. If you need to eat go across the street to the building that is shaped like a giant oval which is called Brasilian Shopping. On the main level there is a food court and plenty of reasonably priced options to choose from. But that is only if you have no choice but to stay at this property. Unfortunately I have no choice as my company limits me to where I can stay. Actually, I'm going to complain to my company and see if they can't improve our options in this city.
