My friends and I had took the train to this station as our airbnb was a few blocks away. I looked online and this was highly recommended on TripAdvisor and Yelp. Boy, are we glad we went here! We stopped by for lunch, returned that same day for dinner and ordered pretty much the same things both times. Their schnitzel is about the size of my face and it somehow got even bigger at dinner time. The schnitzel was super juicy and flavorful. The breading outside did not have any oily residue from the frying process, not sure how that is even possible. The bratwurst dish came with this amazing sauerkraut that we could not get enough of. We really wanted to order an extra side of it, but it's almost impossible to get anyone's attention after you've gotten your food and drinks. It could be that we sat in the biergarten and the servers don't pay too much attention to the area. Regardless, this was the best meal and beer I've had throughout my trip in Germany! I'm seriously contemplating making a trip back to Leipzig just for Bayerischer Bahnhof.

(There is a park behind the beer garden, so the overall vibe is super chill.) As for the food and drink, they exceeded our expectations. After having eaten out a lot over a two-week trip, the food here was much better than most of the places we visited in Germany. The pasta my daughter had was great -- lots of fresh veggies mixed in and it was her most memorable dish the entire two weeks. I had the white asparagus with a schnitzel and could not have been happier -- the asparagus and hollandaise sauce was outstanding, and the schnitzel one of the better I had all trip. As for the service, the folks who helped us were polite, funny and cool. I highly recommend this establishment. So glad we found it. Highly, highly recommended!!

WIFI is available for guests. Ask the staff for the password. Day 1 - We arrived here on foot after the Hansel and Gretel opera. No reservation was required and they seated us promptly. We sat at a nice table with a tablecloth and candle. They lit our candle and it was very romantic. Food: got the German 2 white sausages with pretzel and sweet German mustard. It was a good price at roughly 8 euros. I asked for a side of sauerkraut and the waiter said of course. When I got the bill the sauerkraut was 5 euros. The pretzel arrived early and it was delicious and I dipped it into my sweet mustard. The white sausages arrived later in a bowl of boiling hot water. I just picked it out and placed it on my plate and then threw the other sausage back into the boiling water to keep it warm. The white sausage is a very little taste with specks of green running through it. It is a "light" gentle sausage. The sauerkraut was delicious! The dish needed a veggie and I am glad that I ordered it. The gentle sausage with the cabbage and tang and sweetness played perfectly together. Beer: They had 4 beers on tap. I got the large dunkel (dark beer) and it was delicious and earthly. Cleanliness: average
