This restaurant was really good. I had the beef remoulade with dumplings and red cabbage. Not surprisingly there was lots of gravy on the plate. This is one of the best dinners I have had traveling around Berlin and Dresden. The wife had potato soup with a cut up frankfurter inside of it. It was good soup but did not need the frankfurter. For desert we shared an Apple Strudel it was hot, right out of the oven with a scoop of vanilla and a heap of fresh whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. The food was delicious and I wished I could eat here another day but I had to leave. You may need a reservation, it's a small place and although it was full we ate at the bar!

Check out my wife's schnitzel! She's small, but it is really huge! It went unfinished.

Great German food a short walk from the touristy zwinger area. Not far off the beaten path can one find a traditional and authentic German restaurant. The food was incredible, my wife got schnitzel and I got pork neck. Portions were exceptionally huge way over the normal European standards. If the weather is nice eat in the beer garden. It has great ambiance. He waiters and waitresses were very nice and friendly. However, their English was not that great so it's important to know what you want. They do have English menus upon request as well. Sit back and relax with the slower pace of eating in Europe. The food isn't as fast as a place like chipotle, but that's part of the fun and allure. Order a beer and relax! Definite must for those visiting Dresden! If you live there it's a place that could become a regular stop!

I really like this place, this is no doubt 5 stars for me. Why I said that. Let's see. First of all, the restaurant has a really nice interior design. It really made me feel like I was in a really cool and cultural when I walked in. It's also very family like but some how romantic as well. The restaurant has 2 floors, it was a actually a small dining house. I didnt get the chance to check out the up floor, because there wasThere was quite a big garten behind the house. That allow guests to have their meal there and a small playground for the kids. I was sitting outside and having nice meal with my love one, it was a wonderful time. So let's talk about the food here. I ordered "Spareribs von der Wolfsschlucht". It was quite delicious. With Weißbier together just amazing. The potion of one dish was really more than enough. My partner ordered the "Grillpfanne", it looked great and he liked it very much. There were many other dishes on the menu which seem amazing. After one dish, we were completely full. So next time then. Location ist ok. It actually took us actually smal while to find the palce. But great to have meal. It's kinda out of the tourist zone, but yet quite close to the Zwinger. After our meal, we actually did walked from here to there. It took around 10 mins, not far. And the prefect Weather was really great. We both enjoy the walked very much. If i ever visit Dresden again, I am sure will come here again.

We really liked this tucked away German gem! The atmosphere was warm and inviting and the food was excellent! I had traditional German perk schnitzel which was very tasty! The service was good. It was a little out of the way and little pricy but worth it! I would recommend going if your looking for traditional German cuisine in Dresden.

Amazing authentic German food. Recommend the Roasted duck breast and a huge 1.5L beer.

But I had the baked sweet potato with sautéed mushrooms on top and it was delicious and filling! Of course I had to taste hubbys crispy skinned pork which was a bit fatty but was good.

You have to go all the way in to nearly where the inner tables are located. The buffet is located in the middle of the restaurant, big groups are set in the back room, and small groups are in the front. I got the Saftig gegrilltes Spanferkel (juicy suckling pig) and Sächsischer Sauerbraten (Saxony Saurbraten - like a slow cooked beef). Both dishes came with a specified cabbage side, and potato ball. The juicy pig was definitely the better of the two and included slices of the crispy skin, and fatty insides. In the end, there was too much food for us to finish. Cute decor, but as with most tourist traps - not really worth the price.

WIFI is available for guests. Ask the staff for the password. Day 1 - We arrived here on foot after the Hansel and Gretel opera. No reservation was required and they seated us promptly. We sat at a nice table with a tablecloth and candle. They lit our candle and it was very romantic. Food: got the German 2 white sausages with pretzel and sweet German mustard. It was a good price at roughly 8 euros. I asked for a side of sauerkraut and the waiter said of course. When I got the bill the sauerkraut was 5 euros. The pretzel arrived early and it was delicious and I dipped it into my sweet mustard. The white sausages arrived later in a bowl of boiling hot water. I just picked it out and placed it on my plate and then threw the other sausage back into the boiling water to keep it warm. The white sausage is a very little taste with specks of green running through it. It is a "light" gentle sausage. The sauerkraut was delicious! The dish needed a veggie and I am glad that I ordered it. The gentle sausage with the cabbage and tang and sweetness played perfectly together. Beer: They had 4 beers on tap. I got the large dunkel (dark beer) and it was delicious and earthly. Cleanliness: average
