That might seem pricey to people that can do it themselves, but if you don't want your garment to look like a dog's breakfast (I am referring to my own button sewing abilities here) then it's not too much to baulk at.

If you want a shirt in your size, with your preference of cuff then there is a very limited range. Service. Initial service when buying shorts was from a member of staff who had little knowledge of their product. Their assistance was limited to occasionally hovering and helping us pay for the shirt I chose. When I returned the shirt (due to it having a mark in the centre of the back) the first person I talked to wanted to help until they found it was a return, once they had verified that it was indeed a valid return they handed the shirt back to me and wandered off without another word. The second person I spoke with apparently didn't know how to help. I ended up finding a replacement myself, waiting in line for the store manager and then finally doing a switch. My initial view dealing with this company was to have a quick look when they get new shirts/ties in to see if there is something interesting. That being said, we as customers should be treated better. Avoid

On many occasions I have requested very complex alterations and have without exception found the service considerate, diligent and of the highest quality. I know Roger to be an extremely experienced and qualified tailor who demands the most professional of tailoring standards and customer service. As such I have always enjoyed very friendly and reliable service from the staff of Rogers Tailoring in the most respectful and courteous manner.

I took a pair of wide legged pants to be adjusted into a skinny leg pants. The pants cost me a $35 to be readjusted and he whipped them into shape in twenty minutes while I did my grocery shopping. He was efficient and professional even though he was the only one manning the store and was working hard at the sewing machine when I approached the counter. I'm sure there would be cheaper tailors out there somewhere, but given the positive experience I had I will be returning with more pants in the future.

They don't keep you waiting for a room or having to drape around dresses &/or shirts on your arm, & will help free your space so you can go about your shopping. Today I met Lahi (spelled uniquely but pronounced like Laura) who was tremendous w/ her patience & personal assistance. As I am on holiday, I was not familiar w/ the brand or the sizing, but she gave me a quick background on the brand & helped me choose a few sizes. After a while, we both had a laugh as she was selecting items based on UK Sizes while I was referring to US Sizes. No matter, we got it right, and when you are hunting for a new black dress, you want one that fits exactly right. The kind that gives you confidence when you walk into a room & want to command attention that is both subtle but unforgettable. I loved how she assisted me in navigating the different sizes, going back to their stockroom several times to help me find the right fit. As I used to work in retail, I appreciate someone who actually likes the clothes they are selling & can be a good balance of giving the customer both attention and space. Even if I had walked out & decided not to buy anything at the moment, I know she would have been equally pleasant and ready to help for my next visit.
