So, just FYI, if you ever wanted to give this restaurant a try do your damn reservation. I am a globetrotter and I understand reservations are preferred but when you travel it is impossible to do reservations unless it is a super fancy restaurant and you planned it way ahead of time. I do not normally get that attitude and restaurants are generally open to making space for new customers or tourists but not this one, anyways lesson learnt!!!

To be honest, we were a bit liberal with the bubblies and wine paring throughout the meal... I cannot recite every single ingredient in the 4 courses I was served. But I can say in full confidence that every dish, every bite, contained fresh and perfectly cooked ingredients drizzled with sauces and garnishes that balance, expand and deepen the flavor. I am definitely looking forward to return for dinner one day. Note: "Muss(t)" make reservation - as the locals would say.

I got the waldpilzsuppe (regional mushroom soup), which I liked, but bf wasn't so lucky with his Asian-inspired Thai-Kokossuppe (Thai coconut soup), which lacked flavors. However, the portions were big, so we were pretty stuffed when we finished the soup. The appetizers were not good. We shared the fried chicken nuggets with curry dip (forgot the German name) and the schafskäse (German baked sheep's cheese with vegetable). The chicken was overfried to the point of inedibility (if I were a food critic, then I would have sent it back to the kitchen), and the schafskläse was simply too heavy even as an appetizer. Perhaps we made less than ideal choices for our meal as they had pizzas we saw nearby looking tastier than our food.
