These people took my friend's money and have done nothing except file the very first letter 7 months go. They have not sent her any accounting of what they have done with her money, and she has been ghosted by everyone there, by email, text, and phone. We have engaged with this agency and fully paid our fee upfront. For a very long time, we ("the parties", using their contract terms) did not make progress for multiple reasons, but again, I want to emphasize the fees were already fully paid. In April this year we have renewed the engagement, filled the relevant questionnaire and my wife was served. Progress was made and we started working on the forms that are needed for the first mediation meeting (FL142 and FL150). now filling these forms require time (between work and kids). In early May I had to undergo a surgery. Due to some post surgery complication and standard recovery time, we went quiet for two weeks. All of the sudden, we got a termination message from the agency. No further explanation for why they have terminated the engagement. Now we have immediate submitted our FL150 form (which was completed already), and explained the two weeks of silence (my surgery + recovery time). Nothing helped and the owner, Lani Baron, as well as other personnel we have dealt with are not replying to our messages/calls (many were sent). The contract is clearly saying "no refund if one of the parties is terminating" but it does not say "no refund" if "the mediator" is terminating (the contract is making that distinction between "the parties" and "the mediator"). So I was asking for a refund. again, no response on my message. I guess my only option is small claims court. anyway, stay away from that agency and from Lani Baron, who is apparently very comfortable with taking people money without providing the contracted services. read more

We just used their services and they are nice and informative. However, what was supposed to be a few weeks was dragged out over months and there is no communication between meetings. I felt as once I paid them (in full) they have you and respond and meet when they like. It takes several days to hear back from them or there is no reply at all. They should have better communication, especially for it being a service business and also the service they provide. read more

If you want to waste your time and money, make multiple corrections with both the attorneys and their staff, and have documents lost multiple times go ahead and roll the dice with this firm. We worked with this firm for multiple years to close out our proceedings. They consistently drafted incorrect information regardless of how many edits, emails, or calls we made, which set back our timeline multiple times. They would not respond to emails or state they hadn't received them despite forwards showing the emails sent. They're attitude is generally awful. They consistently displayed particular bias against one of the parties. Honestly, just a massive waste of time and money. Wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

We fully paid, only to find that we could not set up appointments. The company had moved quite far away. We eventually got one local appointment, and then had to take the next one in their new office. On top of that, our lawyer/mediator left the firm. She was supposed to have finished everything and was ready to electronically file. Then we had to make a few changes with the new lawyer. She seemed competent enough, but told us they could NOT file electronically. She promised that filing either way would take the same amount of time which was supposed to be 8-12 weeks. We explained that multiple other lawyers disagreed with this. The bottom line is that they did not have a portal in our county. We paid other lawyers to file electronically and the case was approved in ONE DAY! This firm cost us MONTHS on our divorce. Steer clear. They are a mess! read more

But businesses like this deserve recognition, and people who find themselves in a situation like mine should be aware of their options. We consulted this business to assist us in setting up a trust so it wasn't a divorce situation per se. Lani was our counselor but we also met Jeananne. Both were professional, knowledgeable and personable. What I really appreciated was that they understood that we were looking out for our children and addressed every conceivable aspect that could affect them related to dispersement of funds when/if necessary. The work was thorough and support staff were available for notary and clerical services. I believe much of what we utilized would be necessary in a divorce situation as well. The office was convenient though a little tricky the first time we went there, and the atmosphere of the office was upbeat yet calming. This organization is a joke. If you would like your case to be longer then necessary (year and a half longer) due to omissions and errors on your lawyer's part, if playing phone tag with the office personnel is your thing and if paying more than double of the originality agreed-upon price because of errors and omissions on your lawyer's part is not a problem than give these guys a ring. Dealing with ADS has been more stressful than my actual divorce. After ADS messed up my case they would ignore my calls time after time until I got nasty (unacceptable approach to running a business/path of least resistance). They would continuously try to bully me into thinking that it is my fault that the case took so long in hopes that I would leave and look for another law firm. Dear ADS, you need to know that you messed my case up due to negligence, please self reflect and get better! Follow up with your clients... your job is not to comfort but you are dealing with people and families that are going through hell. You owe them respect and decency, don't treat them like numbers. ADS are very unprofessional, very poor service! I do regret referring Sasha. You have to chase them, call them few times in order for them to get back to you and which Delani admitted they need to get better with communication to the clients. Through out the process they didn't know what was going on with the case where we had to remind them! Jenan was late at the court hearing, so she called Sasha from her cellphone to let him know. They have the audacity to threaten my job of accusing me giving Jenan's private number to Sasha (client) because I referred him to ADS. Sorry about the negative review but here goes. 1) When served by my wife, they could not even pronounce or explain sections in the document. 2) 0 follow-up by the organization, only after my concerns about time-lines did they act. 3) Let meetings get out of hand, not professional! 4) After being served by my wife, was not informed by ADS to submit a response that was due to the court on the Dissolution of Marriage Petition FL-120. 5) The only competency I witnessed during my dealings with ADS was the effective means of collecting funds and protecting the rights of the company. 6) Asked for my file, even that took 3 weeks to complete. 7) We are now with our Attorneys after this fiasco. read more

PLEASE NOTE ALL THE POSITIVE REVIEWS THAT HAVE BEEN POSTED ALL IN ONE DAY. MAKES YOU WONDER! I'm not really certain where these glowing reviews came from. I always rave about a good business and avoid rating a bad one because a business that does not treat its clients right will ultimately ruin its own reputation. In this case however due to the sheer magnitude of the ineptness, I felt compelled to share my experience. When I write a review I try to be objective and fair. So here is my assessment: On the plus side Lani comes across as very personable. Personable is great, but when you are seeking the advice of a professional, you want competent and ethical, and this is where Lani falls seriously short. Her methods are unorthodox at best and unethical at worst. After working with her for over four months it became apparent that she lacks the very basic skills a competent attorney in her field should possess. Let me explain so that everyone can understand. When Lani was initially retained by my spouse, she was hired as a mediator (thus the name alternative divorce solutions!!). A mediator is someone who is by definition impartial. I came to find out 4 months into the process that she had offered to represent my spouse without my knowledge or permission since my spouse was paying her fees. When I confronted Lani, she casually said...I'm only representing your spouse in limited capacity and I will be fair to both of you .....Ha?? Are you serious? How is that not unethical? To add insult to the injury after going nowhere with her repeated miscalculations and missteps, she finally admitted that she is in way over her head and referred the case to an experienced attorney ....12000 dollars later. My attorney and my spouse's attorney both concurred that she had made some colossal mistakes and seriously questioned her competence in this matter. She may be a wonderful alternative if you have a fairly simple case (which a paralegal or a prepaid legal service can provide for far less than the $6000 she charges), but for anything remotely complex she is incapable at best. Divorce is no picnic but when you put your future in the hands of a professional (regardless of the outcome) you expect some modicum of competence and ethical behavior. read more

Not at all a fan. We had a pretty straight forward divorce, but she managed to incorrectly document our respective incomes, assets, entered in the wrong spousal and child support figures and duration on our agreement. This caused us to have to renegotiate and when confronted on her errors, she fixed the minor issues, but failed to admit any error with regard to inputting the incorrect income figures, resulting in a lifetime of reduced payments. She didn't include a proper equalization of assets form, I had to do this all myself!!! Overall it was a joke, we basically hired her to file the paperwork, but you better make sure you double check - everything! read more

I was more than satisfied with the results from Lani and her team & would certainly recommend the service. My divorce was fairly straight-forward and the mediation services that Lani provided was a simple, practical (inexpensive) way to get the desired results in an expedient manner & without all the expense of individual lawyers and having to go to court. I contracted ADS nearly a year ago and their services were very poor. They failed to follow through on many items and I was constantly correcting documentation they produced. I reached a point where I no longer trusted what they were telling me when a simple google search contradicted their advice. I suggest you find a lawyer that will draw up an agreement and can also represent you in court if needed. ADS will not represent you in court. read more

They had a very reasonable price (especially compared to everyone else) and the two attorneys who worked on our case were extremely helpful and knowledgeable. There is nothing easy about going through a Divorce especially with everything you have to consider and the documents you have to prepare for the courts. I was referred to Lani and ADS but a very good friend and it was the best move I made in this process. My first meeting with Lani was very informative and she made it clear what to expect in the process and what she would need from me and my ex-wife to complete the process.
