Weil hier für Autos gesperrt ist und die umstehenden Häuser den Platz vor Sonne und Wind schützen, ist das Deli und die anderen hier ansässigen Kneipen und Restaurants besonders im Sommer, gerade auch an lauen Sommerabenden, ein wunderschönes Fleckchen Erde. Vor allem am Freitag- und Samstagabend ist der Platz ein Szenetreff. Es ist einfach schön, unter den Arkadenbögen des Deli zu sitzen. Nun zum Deli selbst: Zuerst einmal ist das Deli eine gut sortierte Bar. Man findet auf der Karte ein reichhaltiges Angebot unterschiedlichster Getränke. Da gibt es eine Vielzahl von Cocktails, auch alkoholfreie, aber auch unterschiedliche Weine. Mir schmeckt der offene Merlot besonders gut. Was mir besonders gefällt: das Deli hat verschiedene Single-Malt-Whiskys und Rums auf der Karte und zwar nicht nur zwei oder drei, sondern mindestens jeweils fünf. Nicht selbstverständlich! Auch Cognacs und Brandys gibt es mehrere verschiedene. Dann ist das Deli ein gar nicht schlechtes Restaurant! Neben der Stammkarte gibt es eine wechselnde Tageskarte mit vielfältigen Gerichten, die jeweils auf der Internetseite des Deli abgedruckt ist. Außerdem gibt es die Pasta oder den Salat des Tages. Da findet jeder auf alle Fälle etwas. Sogar Weißwürste werden angeboten. Natürlich kann man im Deli auch nachmittags ganz einfach zwischendurch einen Kaffee trinken oder morgens frühstücken. Auf jeden Fall lohnt sich ein Besuch. Eines meiner Lieblingsspots in Stuttgart.

Posh and trendy, but nothing too terrifying. It's especially great during the warmer months, since you can sit outside and watch people walk around and drink your drink. The staff are lovely and very friendly, and the drinks are pretty standard. Their food is also lovely, not too heavy, yet not too sloppy either. Nice music, perfect location which gets busier and more fun as it gets a bit late and overall great to stop by with a friend, loved one or even some colleagues for a drink/meal. I've actually met a lot of people who claim Deli as their favorite bar/cafe, and I'm not surprised.

It's located at the edge of the city centre in a very quiet neighborhood. They have plenty of seating inside and a gorgeous outdoor terrace, where we ended up as, it was a beautiful evening. The menu is modern German and the menu card is handwritten and hard to read, well it was for me. There are classic Schwabian dishes alongside some Alpine dishes and, a small selection of dishes from across Germany. It was balanced between fish and meat with a few vegetarian options. The wine list was also reasonable with a good selection of local wines and wines from around Europe. I chose the sashimi starter (the only non German item on the menu) and really enjoyed it. It was good quality tuna sliced thick and just seared for a few seconds on both sides. For main I had the Rinderwürfel, beef cubes in a creamy mushroom and herb sauce and it was very nice. The dessert was ok nothing special. Prices are a bit on the higher side but the quality is good. The service was nice and our waitress was very efficient and friendly but equally very German (say only what is absolutely necessary with a smile lol). I liked her but I can imagine some people will struggle with that. The older lady who owns the place came around later and chatted with us as did the chef. We enjoyed a couple of really nice wines and all in all it was an experience I would happily repeat again.

Friendly service with a mix of regional Schwäbisch dishes and apparently an Italian accent. Good regional wine selection with some international wines. Pricing is a little on the high end with main dishes from €15 to €23.
