My daughter travels from Boston to York just to shop here. As a final plus, the store is just aesthetically fun to be in--like a tiny funky museum. This is not your shabby resale shop. The cats live right in the store, and they're unmistakably the stars of the show. The shop is full of character, with a mix of antiques, secondhand finds, and seasonal surprises. Prices are fair, and the volunteers are warm, helpful, and clearly invested in the mission. Every purchase supports Safe Haven's no-kill shelter work, and that sense of purpose makes the place feel extra special. If you're anywhere near Wells, it's absolutely worth stopping in. It's cash only, but luckily they accepted my PayPal since I drove an hour to get there. I scored a Wilson leather purse and some vintage jewelry, and even found a child's lunchbox with "Yelp" on the cover, which I thought was pretty humorous since I'm writing this review here. I could've spent another hour browsing, but hunger won out. Definitely a must-stop if you're in or passing through Tilton. I'll be back on my next day off!
