Why am I just now checking this place out??? I wasnt expecting much, but oh boy was I wrong! We stayed two hours and I only saw 1/2 of it. It was bright and well taken care of with a 'bakery' with small tables in the back to sit and chill with a pastry and tea. The restrooms were large and clean. There was a good assortment of vintage and antique items. I'll be going again asap! read more

They closed a few months back. It is no longer open and did not mention a reopening. It was a great place and had a good variety of items.

Great shop, love the different booths. I'm not from Texas so was hoping they would ship some stuff but they don't. Not a big deal but wish they would so I could take with me what I want lol. They have a cute little cafe in the back and the place is pretty clean. The restrooms could use some cleaning though. Other than that a great way to spend some time and look at some vintage items. Massive antique mall worth a 2 hour drive. Great people, great prices which is what I always look for, people are actually trying to sell stuff here mostly, now give or take there are some booths that are way overprices "Museum booths" as I call em. They have vintage toys, vaseline glass, wooden ducks, props, Disney stuff, you name it they have it. read more

Went up front the gentleman at the register said the vendor doesn't return phone calls when I asked again hoping they would at least try and call the vendor the gentleman then got very aggressive with his attitude with me. And told me it wasn't for sale not even knowing what the item was I wanted. Bottom line is the customer service sucked luckily for the gentleman I was speaking with another employee jumped in and diffused the situation I asked him if there was a manager available and he informed me the gentleman at the register was the manager I have spent a lot of money in this establishment over the years. Wish I could leave no stars.... The customer service is horrible and they have lost our business. We have spent so much money and they should know us and not treat us so badly. Literally the Manager was arguing with us about something that we were wanting to have them call the vender to see if it's for sale and they wouldn't try because they said they vender doesn't answer but... what if they did this time. They didn't even want to try to see if the vender would answer. They have lost our business forever Because they wanted to argue over something that was so small. This place was huge, many aisles with what seemed like hundreds of booths. Lots of variety and selection. Nice to "visit" so many stores without driving between. I asked if negotiation was possible and was told that if an item is over $20, to check with the front desk and they would check their notes from the seller. At that price many sellers allow a 10% discount to be given (which we did receive). And if an item is over $50, make an offer and they will text the seller for their response. No guarantees that the seller will respond quick though. So we did that on a mirror and continued shopping, and by the time we were finished they'd heard back that the seller was willing to give us a 20% discount. So we were pleased on both counts. read more

This is a great antique mall! Huge variety for everyone to find a little something! Visit the area several times a year for the past 15 years and never knew it was in Alvin. This is my favorite antique mall, esp when most booths have 10 - 75% off specials during the holidays or Christmas in July. The mall is so huge (building looks like it was an old Kroger) and is comprised of many booths rented out by individual owners. The first time I went there, I spent an entire day and only went through half the mall! You will find vintage dishes, bakeware, figurines, dolls, toys, hats, tools, appliances, books, even WWII paraphernalia! It is amazing the stuff you will find. Even if you aren't an antique shopper, it's still fun to see vintage things that are rare or don't exist today. Most booths price items pretty high, but it doesn't hurt to ask for a discount from the cashier. Sometimes the booth owner has allowed them to offer discount (at least it has happened for me). Anyway, come by here, and enjoy a day into the past!! read more

Lots of vendors and good quality antiques. Plenty of art pottery, glassware, furniture. Less junk than a lot of similar places. Prices were pretty comparable to other such shops and they are willing to make a deal. We will return. read more

What a fun place to check out!! Omg!! I have spent hours looking at things here !! Being a true vintage lover and collector of unique boxer dog items, chicken items and vintage rhinestone jewelry... I have found some great deals here !! It's such a relaxing & fun thing to stroll down the many aisles looking for that one great item or two that just says " take me home or let me bring back beautiful or fond memories for you !" Going back through the hands of time & listening to wonderful classic music the store plays !! It's really a delight!! There are so many vendors to choose from inside this antique center. Lots of glass, dishes, furniture and holiday decor. The organization is good and the stalls were all clean and well stocked. There was a great use of staging so you could clearly see what some of the more unique items are meant for. I really enjoyed walking the entire center and taking it all in. Huge antique mall with a pretty impressive variety. My family and I probably spent about four hours total covering the entirety of the space. Most of the vendors had reasonable prices, though of course there were a few exceptions. We were impressed and had a great experience. read more

Plan plenty of time as this 55,000 sq ft store has lots and lots to look through. There are a few booths that are peddling items which are not old/vintage/antique but the vast majority (well over 80%) have legitimate 'antiques'. It's the best antique store in Alvin hands-down and one of the top in the Houston area. read more

I visited this place for the first time yesterday. My family and I went. I have a severe form of arthritis that sometimes doesn't allow me to walk for long periods of time. I was so happy to see that the store provides wheelchairs and the isles are wide and clear enough to navigate a wheelchair through them. I loved the store. There are beautiful higher priced furniture items along with smaller items. The only thing that isn't great is the tearoom in the back of the store. The concept is great, but the food was not impressive, especially considering the prices. The grilled pimento cheese sandwich was very average. The tomato basil soup lacked cream or maybe parmesan cheese. The menu needs to be revised to look more professional and easier to understand. But this is about the mall, not the tearoom. I'm not really that big into antiques, but this place has got EVERYTHING! There is pretty much something for everyone. Here the saying "One person's trash is another person's treasure" definitely applies. I came to the antique center with my wife and wasn't expecting to find anything interesting for myself, but I was wrong. I found old toys, memorabilia, and even a booth that specialized in World War II items. There's a ton of random things as well as items that have been recycled and re-purposed for other uses. I even saw a cool stool made from an old skateboard. The store is also HUGE with aisles and aisles of different vendors. You can easily kill half a day browsing around the center. They do also provide free coffee while you shop and there is a cafe at the back of the center which has lite eats and drinks. There is plenty of parking and the best part is its all indoors which is perfect for those hot summer months or cold winters. read more

I went to check out the antiques have not been in a while.I dont go often becäuse the manager with the pony tail is a jerk.I found an item i was interested in .The sign on booth said 20percent off but i noticed item was damaged so i asked about the ĉlock he säid i dont know nothing äbout ĉlocks dont want to know nothing about clocks best i ĉan do is 20 percent. i write this review out of frustration. I purchased an old school Nintendo system for my 12 year old son at the Alvin Antique Center 2 years ago. I paid full asking price for a bunch of Nintendo Games, controllers, system and accessories from one of the managers. I was able to take most of what i purchased home that day and they were to ship the rest of my Nintendo stuff the next day because I'm not from the area and they didn't have all of what i paid for at the store yet. Part of what they were shipping included the actual controllers needed to play the games itself. It has been 2 years and i have yet to receive what i paid for. I have been back to the mall 4 times in the last two years, each time seeing the person i paid and asking for my merchandise. Each time he has come up with an excuse about why he lost my address and didn't get things shipped. Each visit i wrote down my address and phone number for him to ship me my items. My family and i went to the mall again today asking for my Nintendo items and this time he laughed at me saying he has placed all that stuff in storage and would have to try and find it. My son has yet to play the system or any of the games because of this manager of the antique mall. Today i have finally given up and ordered my controllers off of eBay. The mall itself is a nice place to visit with decent prices and a large variety of cool stuff to pick from. I would not trust Alvin Antique Center management or EVER pay them to ship you something. You would think that when you've already peaked your life as a front desk guy at an antique mall you would at least be able to ship some Nintendo controllers to a customer who has already paid. Apparently he is better suited for mopping floors etc.. because a cashier/salesman is too much to keep up with. read more
