I am writing this in order to warn you, so you wouldn't find yourself in our situation. Never use this company!!! We lost 1000 dollars of deposit money and were left with devastated yard. We hired them for sod replacement and putting stones in the area between the houses. They put grass with lots of brown dead blades and three different types of grass resulting in different colors. Ground was left bumpy - not properly leveled. Instead of river stones they put river rocks which was not our choice. Their work left areas of both sides of the house in a state of complete disarray and unacceptable look. They changed the level of ground making it at least 4 inches higher than it should be in order to connect with the parts which they didn't work on. We asked them to correct their work but they said that everything is done correctly and if we don't like it they can take everything back. They didn't take back sod and rocks. They destroyed sod. They left everything as it is shown in the attached photos. We arranged the meeting with someone from the other company and he was shocked by this disastrous look of our yard. He offered us a help in making the official complaint to Better Business Bureau. read more

I would never recommend going with Joe and Always Green after our experience last summer unless you're okay with hiring someone who has no qualms with taking advantage of you. He seemed like a great guy to begin with, which is why we chose him for the job. The job was never completed in full, and what was done, wasn't done properly as you will read and see below. Things really got personal and took a turn when my single mother (owner of the house) who had saved up to have this work done along with my help, ended up in hospital about a week after the job had been "finished". This was her first big solo project on the house after her husband and my father had passed away. My mother treated him and his crew like royalty. She went out and got the guy's Tim Horton's coffee and donuts every single morning, had coolers full of cold drinks all day long, beers at the end of the day etc. She even donated some of our old sporting equipment and bikes to the guys in his crew for their kids. That isn't a joke. The issues began on day one as one of the big things we wanted done, and were told would be done, wasn't done. Joe said not a problem to removing a large garden bed from our front yard. He said he had a machine that could come and lift the armor stone out. When Joe's crew arrived to begin the work after receiving partial payment, there was no machine, and Joe was now saying his machine wasn't large enough to remove the armor stones. Next, the sod in the front yard was poorly installed. There were portions that were just laid on top of existing grass that was supposed to be removed (even on top of our neighbour's lawn). The new soil and sod that was installed at the end of the boulevard and up against the road was built up too high and on such an angle, that any water would just run out from under the new sod and onto the road. The entire strip of new sod along the street died immediately (can clearly be seen in the photos attached). Same story along the driveway. We paid Joe to seed our back lawn instead of placing new sod down, as he said he didn't feel new sod was needed with the new sprinkler system. They showed up with fertilizer and said they had to put this down before the seed to prepare the ground, and said they would come back 2 weeks later with the seed which never happened. We also paid to have our garden beds mulched which was completed to a certain extent (see the photo attached). We had expressed our complaints prior to my mother becoming ill, and Joe had promised us that he would come back to fix the sod, adjust the sprinkler heads and show us how to properly use the control box, finish the mulch, remove the weird river rock tree ring that we didn't ask for, and seed the back lawn. Joe had his money, and continually came up with excuses to delay coming by to fix the issues. I was left to sort it out and he either completely ignored my efforts, or broke promises (see text messages below). Even calling into the office, as he asked me to do, resulted in his receptionist telling me she would let him know and have him call me back, which never happened. I probably called every week for 2 months straight, and Joe never came back to the house. I wouldn't trust Joe as far as I could throw him. read more

I thought that I would let you people know about a bad experience that I had with a local company that I dealt with... The company is AlwaysGreen which has an office on Ridgeway Drive in Mississauga. I used this company to replace all the sod in our front and back yards. They came in March 2021 to give me a quote of $4,000+... I signed an agreement and they came back in May 2021 to do the install... Shortly after some sections of the sod in the front and about 1/3 of the back yard install died. I tried and tried to contact the company about the problem. I tried to contact them at least 20 times... Most time I had to leave a message and the 'odd' time I got through to their office, the receptionist that answered said that she would contact "Joe" and get back to me about this issue... Guess what???.... I never heard back from her except the one time that she did answer she said that Joe would come to the house the next day to look at the sod.... Joe did come and said that he would come back the next day with the replacement sod.... Guess what??? Surprise, surprise he was a no show!! We are currently at the beginning of September 2021 and I still have had no solution!!! Basically, they take your money and run!!!! Do not expect any after install support either!!! Another interesting thing... on their web-site they have the following points detailed... look at the 1st and especially the 3rd point... Believe me, I am NOT "happy", but they certainly appear to have quit on me.. We provide every client with three unconditional practices: 1. Unparalled customer service. 2. Very Very Bad customer services. I called them to install installation work is very bad, and I tried calling them multiple time - I have been calling them every day for last 3 weeks - If I call Joe the owner - he will text will call back and will never do it. He gave me multiple excuse - the installation work is bad and customer service is horrible - I would say go with someone else read more
