I should include his name in this, just to save people from having to deal with him. But I had already purchased a TV and I now had only a 24 hour window to get it installed. After doing some research and getting a half a dozen different quotes I ended up meeting with Leo. Of course the other places that quoted me twice as much told me that they do what's called a professional installation. All I can tell you is this, Leo is 100% a professional. Not only will he do the job right but he will do it in a cost-effective way to save you money if that's an option. Trust me when I tell you, you do not have to worry about hiring this guy. That's why I am writing this post. I know the hassles when it comes to hiring someone off of craigslist. This guy is good. I have another TV that has to get put up in a couple weeks. We had a small job - installing a 220-volt outlet in our garage - but they treated it like the most important project in their portfolio. During the estimate visit, Jose was on time and spent more than half an hour examining our indoor and outdoor electrical panels, photographing the install area, and even inspecting our air conditioner to confirm how much electricity it was already drawing. We received a detailed written estimate the same day, including permit fees. This was quite a contrast to another well-reviewed company which complained that I even wanted to follow the law by obtaining permits and ultimately refused to do the work unless we agreed to skip the permits. On the day of the installation, Jose was again on time, reconfirmed every detail of the job, and completed it timely. He came back a few days later to meet the inspector, and after some feedback, did some additional work the same day to make the install even safer for us.
