If you are building a pool in LHC, please read all reviews and verify…read more Bobby can do quality work; however, he has built 2 pools for me, and they were poorly managed by Bobby. Both pools were short of the drawings he provided. The first pool was supposed to be 16'X32', and it was 15'X30'. However, Bobby did the right thing and provided $2000 credit. The first pool was a small vacation house; therefore, it was no big deal and Bobby earned my trust. Approximately 3 years later my wife and I built our retirement home in LHC. A 3000 Sq.ft. house, with two RV garages, two double garages, 2 casita's, 3 bed, 2 bath, outdoor kitchen on a half-acre with a view - finally, all the hard work is paying off! I called Bobby again and told him, he better not be short, but let's build another pool. The lines Bobby drew in the backyard had no measurements and were drawn as a concept, not a contract. The funny thing is we didn't even notice the pool was short of "Bobby's" 40'X20'X20' drawing that was "updated" after the contract, which lists a 36'X19' pool. The project expanded as many do during construction, therefore an updated drawing and a change order for over 30K should be good enough. Unfortunately, it may not be in court, therefore get an updated contract and everything signed - do not trust anyone. If you pay cash, take a picture and document all payments. Bobby is accurate, there were many issues starting with the pool color. We said to do the same blue color as our first pool. Bobby did a Speckle Blue, who knew that wasn't the same color and during our meeting to confirm colors Bobby was on vacation. The concrete wasn't even close to what Bobby showed us, concrete splashed on the doors and windows of our brand-new house, trash out front, cracks in the concrete etc. We had over 10 issues, but those issues met the ROC's minimum construction standards, and I signed a contract with the wrong pool color, therefore Bobby is correct and we owe him the balance of $5500 for his poor workmanship. Bobby left out a few critical details - he took us to court to collect the $5500, then we measured the pool and it is 38'6"X20'X18'2" and was supposed to be 40'X20'X20' - here we go again! This project was 3 times the cost of our first project and is our retirement home. The first project Bobby gave us a $2000 credit and we owed him $5500, therefore I said let's call it good, but Bobby did not want to negotiate and took me to LHC Justice Court and he won! Yep, sign a contract with the wrong color and the contractor will win. Poor workmanship may meet the ROC's minimum workmanship requirements. With pool measurements in hand, I tried to negotiate with Bobby, but he said he was going to win. The salt generator broke and I told Bobby I would pay him $2000, honor the warranty and let it go. Bobby said there would be no warranty on the pool because I didn't pay the outstanding balance of $5500. The pool was short, why would I pay the $5500 when you gave me $2000 credit for the last pool. Fight to be right, therefore we move forward. Next stop ROC hearing - we were awarded $26,500, Bobby contested. Off to ALJ Hearing - we won and are still awarded $26,500. Then Bobby and his attorney took us to Superior Court. My wife and I have never been sued in our 25 years in business and live by a simple policy - "the customer is always right". After handling all the litigation on our own without an attorney, vs Bobby and his attorney, we hired representation that cost us $85,000 - ouch! Yea, Bobby's the victim! I don't think so! During our day in court, Bobby and his attorney presented the same arguments until Bobby made one change and said, Advantage Pools overbuilt the pool based on the original contract, which is accurate, but does not represent the truth. The court still ruled in my favor, however reduced the ROC award because my attorney did a poor job and did not question Bobby thoroughly. Bobby denied our verbal and email agreement that clearly lists a 40'X20'X20' pool presented by and drawn by Bobby. Why would I have put my family through eight years of litigation if Bobby over built the pool. Anyway, you would think it's over, nope, Bobby then proceeded to the Superior Appeals court where 3 judges recently reviewed the case and said - we win! It's finally over! Nope, Bobby no longer has an attorney representing him and is attempting to take us to the Arizona Supreme Court over his updated pool drawing and our original contract that are both outside of the ROC plus or minus 3" allowable tolerance. If Bobby had built the pool to the dimensions he listed on our updated drawing of 40'X20'X20' he would have been paid in full upon completion. It is Bobby's complete lack of project management skills and unwillingness to take responsibility for his poor workmanship that has resulted in years of litigation, countless hours of stress, aggravation, and over $85,000 spent to defend ourselves - amazing

So No's estimate to the next morning ... 2nd flake Jack told me he had an emergency...customers water heater broke...he would contact me when he W/ updates. finally I left a voice mail for Jack ... my message stated I would need to post a Yelp review of my experience of zero responses really rude man Jack had contact me.waited over 2 Hours meanwhile Jack is saying this person would "text me any min" nothing no texts no calls ... I had to call Jack again...jack reiterated this person would be texting any minute... seriously ... ... sitting like a fool for hours. Called Jack, jack kept saying he just spoke to this painter any min I would be. Contacted ... I waited from APROX 4:00 to 6:40 I heard snd saw nothing ...after that I was was going to have estimate ....when the guy finally Text me we Scheduled estimate... he had my address I had sent it night before estimate ... day of estimate text me for The address again ... which is ok ... I was wondering where he was ... I didn't have my phone on me so I saw the text a little later ... I called him ... I tried to be light hearted with my address .... I was excited about the new paint ... also Jack had my address ??? Jack is MIA a-lot (the day he was supposed to come he did tell me the night before late that a customers water heater had broken ... he would get Back to me to me that day ... Jack disappears not answering late in the day no texts re: when he could come and paint ... well, then I said I would have To review all of this... all of w sudden Jack found me other painters ) oh and most bizarre ... the night before estimate (he couldn't come Too) jack & myself speaking on the phone he was telling me weird personal things re: meds he takes for male Issues ?????
