My brother went there with Covid. He was an inpatient for 12 days before he was sent up to ICU -…read morewhere he died. He has insulin dependent diabetes. The nurse brought him insulin early in the morning - hours before food. He requested crackers, juice ,etc. All they would give him was diet soda. This was everyday. Two days he lost his sight his sugar was so low. One evening the nurse came in with insulin on night shift. His sugar was already low and Carl knew he could not get any food until breakfast so he refused the insulin. The nurse got nasty and told him she was going to put DNR on his record. He told her NOT to do that. She came back and JUBILIANTLY told him it was done. How would you like to know that laying in a hospital bed? I asked his wife to drop off crackers with cheese/or peanut butter so she did. His oxygen mask was never hooked up correctly. The staff used scotch tape to try and seal it. He wasn't getting oxygen so he'd take his mask off to breath and also to eat. The staff documented he was non compliant and would not wear his mask. When they put him on CPAP it was not working - no air at all was coming out They had 3 technicians come up and they did fix it. He relieved to be able to breathe after that. One day after eating he could not put the nasal cannula back in his nose due to bloody bugars. I asked the nurse for Surgilube to be used in his nose - this is STANDARD with oxygen use. He had been on oxygen over 10 days at this point. The doctor and nurses did not want to talk to me. I asked for a social worker no one ever called . I was not rude to them in any way. I asked for ivermectin to be used. It was allowed in Alaska - I called a CVS pharmacy in town and was told it was being dispensed many times a day with great success. The hospital pharmacist said they would not provide it. They took my brother up to ICU telling him he only had a 20 percent chance of survival. They gave him remdisivar - which I said I did not want him to take. It shut down his organs and he died. If you want your loved one to die - this is the hospital for you!

One of the most disappointing experiences. We drive two hours together get to this hospitals ER. We…read morehave been here for more than three hours. They did blood tests CT scan and covid test. We still not know any result. We have been in a hall recliner when the patient feels really bad. No communication with the patient or family. I regret not having driven an extra hour to get to Anchorage
