My father has been staying at this facility, and I was lucky enough to be able to visit. I was told…read moreprior that this location is WAY better than the Wasilla one, but I've been very impressed with the quality & care here. It is definitely a newer building. Everything is well laid out, very cleanly & spacious. It's kind of a maze- you can get lost easily, so luckily a staff member is usually present to guide visitors. And as far as the staff goes- they are pretty fantastic! My father can be very difficult (also quite the smartass) but everyone here has a laid back sense of humor and friendly personality. They're all kind & attentive. Patient and understanding- a very important aspect when you have a loved one in their care. The food is actually pretty good! I'm impressed- it's better than I'd make for my own meals. And, it's gotten my father to try things he normally would have turned his nose up at. The pork chops w/ a wild Alaskan blueberry compote accompanied w/ a side of mashed potatoes & steamed veggies was a huge hit- so was the meatloaf! Drinks & snacks are always available- and everything is catered to specific diets, diabetes taken into consideration, of course. The cold, chocolate Ensure shakes always seem to be a hit, or an ice cold lemonade (no added sugar). Activities are regular- bingo, car painting, early evening movie nights... always a variety depending on the day of the week. The outside terrace is wonderful to get some summer sun, and the horse pasture is positioned just next to the facility- we could sit out there all afternoon watching the horses frolic & graze! (My nephew loves to visit for that reason.) They have a full gym equipped w/ rehab machines, on-site medical professionals, as well as a "spa" for hair cuts & basic grooming. Physical therapy can also be done in the large, private rooms. Two large dining rooms, one which slightly mimics a restaurant setting. A full menu for each day, and the options are not bad at all! Actually, a lot of what is to offer seems better than you'd get paying to dine out! Plus, there is a larger formal dining room for a family dinner party. If I was staying longer & COVID restrictions weren't still a thing, I would have liked to get him in there for a traditional dinner w/ my sister & Mom. Maybe next visit... But the private rooms are also very spacious & accommodating. Very comfortable medical-grade beds, adjustable recliners & big windows. The bathroom is better than my tiny apartment! And, I wish I could take the wheelchair as my own, lol. Built-in shelving allows photos, flowers or other decor to make it feel more homey, and there is a nice wardrobe closet as well as nightstand & portable table. The rooms are literally bigger than my studio & twice as nice- similar to staying in a classy hotel. Overall, I'm glad I was able to visit & see this place for myself. I feel comfortable & welcome when visiting. And appreciate they are on top of who is coming/going- checking temps upon arrival & making sure everyone washes their hands while wearing a mask (we need to protect the vulnerable here regardless of vaccination). I'm glad my father is able to be in good care here, and I really appreciate the manner this facility is run. They're professional & above minimum standards, the quality truly shows.

I do not support this business simply because of how I was treated by a middle aged woman working…read morethere and how I saw this woman treating young employees. This woman, Devon, helped me out and I will not go back due to her. She is a housekeeping supervisor (i asked an employee for her position on the way out). She turned me off big time with her attitude and tone, almost like she didn't want me there and just saying whatever to make me leave and get rid of me. I did not feel welcomed or wanted. I also heard her being rude to her younger employees, definitely taking advantage of her high position. I'm almost positive she was treating her employee this way because she thought no one was listening or around. I don't normally write reviews ever but this experience really upset me. I don't like being disrespected and I genuinely don't like young people getting disrespected over a part time job.

Title: A Truly Exceptional Chiropractic Experience in Palmer…read more From the moment I first called Arctic Chiropractic in Palmer, I knew I'd found something special. Erica, who answered the phone, was warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The front desk staff went above and beyond, even helping me complete my paperwork ahead of time so I could spend more of my appointment with the doctor instead of a clipboard. The clinic itself is spotless, beautifully organized, and thoughtfully designed. The massage chairs in the waiting area are a brilliant touch--loosening my muscles before the appointment made my adjustment far more effective. Then came my consultation with Dr. Mondrell. Having had an extremely negative experience at another local chiropractic office, I was both cautious and hopeful. From the start, Dr. Mondrell's demeanor put me completely at ease. He listened closely, asked thoughtful questions, and took the time to understand not only my immediate concerns but my long-term health goals. His approach was thorough and meticulous--he found problem areas I had overlooked for years, explained the potential risks if left untreated, and gave me clear options for moving forward. What really stood out to me was his rare combination of skill, compassion, and insight. As I told him during our visit, he has a gift for finding every sore spot and addressing it with precision. His extensive medical knowledge, combined with his warm and caring nature, left me feeling both physically better and deeply reassured. I also appreciate that Arctic Chiropractic offers both chiropractic care and physical therapy in the same location. This means I can finally catch up on much-needed PT without juggling two different offices and schedules. And although my insurance doesn't cover the initial exam, they offered a very generous cash discount, making it both accessible and worthwhile. After what I'd been through elsewhere, the difference here was night and day. Dr. Mondrell and his team embody what health care should be--respectful, attentive, and genuinely invested in their patients' well-being. I walked in with pain and uncertainty and walked out feeling cared for, hopeful, and on the right path to healing. If you're in the Palmer/Wasilla area and want a chiropractor who truly listens, truly cares, and truly delivers results, I can't recommend Dr. Mondrell and the team at Arctic Chiropractic enough. This is the kind of place that makes you wonder why you ever settled for less.
