I was hooked. 10 months later we moved in ... we had so much fun, Greg & Brom were so much fun to work with and everyday was like Christmas, we would walk the 20 yards to our new construction (we rented another cottage right across the street and just gasped at the progress each day, admittedly I always took the evening tour with a glass of red wine so was always happy!). On February 2023 I submitted an inquiry at Realtor.com looking for information on a property at a…read morebuilding in Mystic, CT. Within minutes a young lady from Garden Realty was calling looking to find out additional details on our wants and needs. A few minutes later that day, I received an email from Greg Hanner with additional information on the property, the area and an introductory video of himself, his realty company and services. Later that evening, Greg called me to introduce himself already informed on the details from my conversation with his assistant. He shared his background and extensive experience on the southeastern part of CT (2022 and now for 2023 the #1 Agent of the Year for CT New London County). I told him that we were early in our search and that we weren't even sure if we were ready to buy any properties. However, if we found the right place at the right price, we would consider it. Greg was very professional and pleasant, and even with this low-level interest, he was willing to assist us in our search. Over the next few days, he shared a series of property options, his own personal experiences with other buyers, and scheduled a viewing on the original property we had inquired on. Over the next few weeks, Greg facilitated several showings, and was present at each one, very engaged, clearly informed and knowledgeable. It was also very apparent that Greg had plenty of experience in the area, as each property we saw hit many of the must-haves we were looking for. He pointed out where a compromise would be necessary along with pros and cons, at times highlighting features we would not have considered. Finally, it seemed as if Greg knew everyone as we connected with the realtors on the seller's side and others. We requested a showing at another unit in the Mystic building we liked. The unit had a renter and getting in for a viewing required some negotiating. Greg made the necessary arrangements and we there we found our dream unit! Greg helped us come up with the best and fairest offer which after some waiting (and back and forth with Greg) was accepted. Greg presented us with a bank for financing with whom he had plenty of experience and who were best suited for the area. Greg scheduled the property inspection with a local home inspection team he had worked with in the past. Greg was there throughout, asking questions, ensuring that we understood where there were areas of opportunity. From the inspection, there were a number of areas where we would need addressed at some point, so Greg negotiated a credit to the purchase price as to not disrupt the tenant to address some cosmetic issues. Overall, our experience with Greg was very positive. His knowledge of the local market, his experience as seasoned realtor, his pleasant demeanor, with and realistic expectations were exactly what we needed. A short few months later, we are happy owners of a beautiful condo unit in downtown Mystic a few minutes away from restaurants, shops and everything Mystic has to offer. Thanks Greg!!

A nightmare! Shannon Muscara from Remax Home team in Uncasville has made the purchase of my condo a…read moreliving nightmare. She has been extremely difficult to work with. She made errors in her listing (HOA fee) and then blamed them on her client who is elderly. Her client nearly lost a $5k over asking price sale due to her error. I closed on the sale nine hours ago. Her client has been paid in full via verified bank wire transfer from my attorney and she still refuses to give us access to OUR duly bought and paid for condo! We lost a day of moving waiting on her to give us the keys. Now we have to pay a lock smith tomorrow to break into our new condo so we can meet the movers there and start moving in. This has been a nightmare for all involved including my agent and attorney. They both are trying to jump through hoops for us to get access to the condo. But for some odd reason Shannon refuses to give us the keys. She claims she has to wait for her elderly client to notice the funds in her bank before we can access our condo. The funds were made available over four hours ago and still we wait like we have nothing better to do. She cost us a lot of money, time, energy and effort!
