Anything dealing with the law is complex and often very scary, the language used is confusing and not necessarily something you can interpret on your own. Over the years I have dealt with so many attorneys for many different reasons. For the most part I've had decent representation but I found that after the initial consultation was over and the retainer was paid, my lawyer usually disappeared behind a closed door . I found most future communications then happened with the lawyers secretary. In the past I had to find out how my case was progressing from the secretary who usually could not answer my questions and would often say "I'll have to get back to you".
