AmPm is chic, romantic and cosmopolitan with aa rustic vibe. Its a great little restaurant with cushions, fairy lights and candles which makes it perfect for a romantic dinner ar a girlie lunch. They serve wine, beer, champagne and cocktails and prices are a little higher than most haunts but still worth it just for the faulous food! I got a pasta dish which wa to die for and definately complemented my sneaky noontime glass of wine! The big windows pulled open almost make you feel like your on holiday in spain and really help bring the outside in! Average food prices range from £6-£9, whicj is great and Mon-Thurs from 12-5pm yuo can get a meal and glass of wine for £8.95, which is a bargain as a glass of wine is normally £3.95. The place can also be hired for groups and parties and in the evening they have a dj making it a great wee night out!

Treehouse which is upstairs in AM:PM is a great spot on a sunny day. It's open air and fabulous especially if you manage to get a seat overlooking the street below for a bit of people watching. Good wine, prosecco & cocktails. They also serve good food too. The AM:PM restaurant downstairs serves some delicious grub. Never been to the Cabaret Supper Club but I hear it's fantastic so I'm planning a trip to it real soon!

I'm still not sure what to make of this place. There are two of the champagne bars located across the city, one in Botanic and this venue in the city centre. AM:PM is open early for lunch, serves dinner and then continues long into the night. It essentially moonlights as a club, the theory being open am and pm. I've been here twice, once during the day for a cheeky pint on the way home on what was frankly an unbearably sweltering day. The second trip was exceeding late after a night out elsewhere. I had a well served pint of Guinness. People in this part of the world do tend to wax lyrical about the mysticism of how to get a good pint of "und black stuff" but really as long as it's not overly chilled, reasonably fresh and the pipes are clean.... it will be fine. The place I must say has a nice boutique feel about it, skin to some other bars and bistros in the city. It's generally a nice place to be. That being said the music isn't my cup of tea and the clientèle has a touch of the Malone Road about it but still, worth a peek.

I visited this quaint little restaurant on Upper Arthur Street for a quick bite of lunch on Saturday afternoon. I've never been before so was delighted with the décor and the small but meaningful touches which adorn the walls. You can tell how old the building is from the masses of woodworm through the ceiling, but it's cleverly covered by the beautiful wreaths of cherry blossom lining the roof. As I sat down I was pleased to notice the sofas were incredibly comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a long day traipsing around town. The cushions scattered around the seats make the place feel like an old yet chic and comfy living room. The restaurant was notably busy (always a good sign) at least it was outside which thankfully left the inside free for us to choose where to sit. We opted for the chairs by the bright and airy window so we could enjoy the best of the day. We were served promptly by a cheerful waitress who didn't mind I couldn't choose what to have! When we eventually did make our minds up, we opted for the homemade lasagne with a side of chips, and the chicken and chorizo salad with two tiger beers. Unfortunately this is where the quality of the experience went down hill. Now I can't fault the lasagne or indeed the chorizo, but the salad certainly wasn't up to expectation. The salad leaves had already turned brownish and the tomatoes were neither crisp nor flavoursome but soft and wilted instead. I'm nearly sure the rest of the food would be gorgeous (it certainly smelt and looked that way) but I was disappointed by my meal. It tasted alright (by no means great) but I was put off by the presentation (admittedly not enough that I didn't eat it!) All in all I would much rather have whiled away the afternoon in the likes of 'Made in Belfast' (see review) but slave to the cause as I am I went out on a limb to bring to you the strengths and weaknesses of eateries around town. I'll know for next time not to bother! AM:PM could certainly make a name for itself as mostly all I've heard is good reports but personally I was let down so I'll have to wait to visit again and make a more informed decision.

It's pretty hidden in the alley and not going to lie...coming to a new city, let alone a new country by myself was a bit intimidating, but I found it just in time for my reservation. I absolutely loved my first Michelin Star restaurant experience. I was born in Belfast, and have never been back since I was born, so I enjoyed every opportunity to tell a server. The staff was so friendly and described every dish. I ordered the Seasonal Tasting MenuEach dish was excellent. My favorite was probably the duck and the savory mousse pastries. Food in order of serving: 1. Sourdough Guinness bread with vanilla butter and olive oil 2. Olive sponge crab and apple, chicken and caramel with some type of mousse 3. Scallops, cucumber frothy brown butter 4. Bluefin tuna tartare with avocado and heirloom tomato 5. Halibut with crispy chicken skin 6. Duck 7. Sorbet and then....my phone died before I could write down the other yummy dishes I ate! The ambience was dark, romantic, and vibey. A little mysterious because of the hidden aspect, but overall I loved my whole experience here.

My weekday dinner at Muddler's Club seemed a bit directionless…read more The food is excellent, taste, flavor combinations and présentation. That is not the concern. The space itself has a very long and interesting history, just over 40 seats have been cramped into that space. A couple tables have small glass walls to separate them and squeeze in more diners. And it's pretty loud. So loud, I can barely hear the sommelier describe her wines. There may have been music playing... but who can hear? There seems to be an attempt to elevate the bartender over the sommelier, with the menu encouraging the guests to try specialty cocktails instead of selecting whole bottles of wine. And the bartender's constant ice shaker only adds to the noise. The service is very relaxed, with servers in t-shirts and jeans, sneakers, paper napkins. And the servers seemed a bit inattentive, watching the chefs through the pass, not paying attention to guests' needs. Oh, and the server even wrote "thank you" on the printed bill... How kind. Excellent Flair. Pure Chotchkie's. For the food, I'll return. 2025 04 16. M1. 235.

I've had my fair share of memorable burgers from coast to coast in America, but just glancing at a picture of the beef shin burger transports me back across the pond to the Barking Dog. I remember the few days I spent in Belfast fondly and of the many memories, my meal at the Barking Dog was a definite highlight. In a rather quaint and charming neighborhood, I took a nice short stroll from my Airbnb and came across this gem of an establishment and decided I had to check it out. I had a nice beer to start, and it wasn't a Guinness because stouts aren't my thing, but whatever it was I remember it being excellent and local. Undoubtedly you could make this place a regular haunt and there is no shortage of drinks and food options to make this a go-to for a date, celebration, or a quick meal. The staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful and the general atmosphere is chill. The food for me was ethereal - a burger isn't just a burger here and what you get when you bite into the beef shin burger is a little slice of Heaven. Moist and tender are a given but the taste is just so divine with the caramelized onion, cheddar, and horseradish mayo melding into an union of perfection. It's hard not to describe one of the most memorable meals of my life in such hyperbole but the vivid recall I have of this particular place is uncanny and merits all the praise I can heap upon the fine folks that run the place. If timing had worked out, I would have eaten as meals here as I could have but I'll thank my lucky stars for at least giving me one opportunity to eat such a wonderful burger at such a wonderful eatery. A+ and a definite must when visiting Belfast.

This was probably more to do with it only being new though than a reflection on the bar. Plus, because it was empty, we got out drinks served to the table, which was nice! I'd like to go back to see if the atmosphere is anybetter, because I think this bar has potential. It should also be popular during the day.
