I wish I could have a better review for Tony. I really had great expectations. I am providing 2…read morestars because he was quick at responding and performing the on-site visit. Jobs were fairly priced, not on the high or low end. He was nice and seemed knowledgeable. Unfortunately, the above was the extent of my good experience with this company. We wanted to initially move forward with 2 jobs at our place, totaling about $9,000. Upon completion of these 2 jobs, we had another 2 bigger jobs coming in which, based on previous quotes, would have been about around $100K total. If our experience would have been good, we would have chosen them for these other 2 jobs. Unfortunately, this was our experience that made me waste 2 weeks of my time that I could have used to perform the work already: 1. When we told Tony we were ready to move forward and asked for a contract, he didn't have any templates to provide so I asked if he was OK with me drafting one. He agreed to it. 2. After spending time drafting a standard contract for both of our protection, indicating payment timelines, guarantees, proof of insurance, and work to be performed, we received a text saying he doesn't want to go through all this trouble. OK... I wouldn't do any job without licensed and fully insured contractors so, if they can't prove that, I don't move forward. Better safe than sorry! 3. Then I got another text apologizing and saying that they can take the job and just asked for a minor change in the contract before signing it, which was related to the payment. I made the change and I also offered him to provide any template he feels more comfortable with if there was any concern. He confirmed there were no other concerns or changes he wanted to make. 4. I sent him the updated draft to be signed, then he came back saying that the warranty request was "silly". I initially suggested 20 years because that's what other contractors offered. In order to make it work, I asked him what he feels is fair and feels comfortable with. At this point, his answer was that he doesn't want to go through all of this for a job. To date, I am still trying to figure out what was exactly the issue: do they have insurance? are they fully licensed? do they know how to perform the job I was asking for and feel confident with their workmanship? If the answer to all these questions is 'yes', then I do not understand the reason why they wouldn't want a contract for both, my and their protection. The only thing that comes to mind is that either of the questions above comes with 'no' for an answer, and/or they are choosing the jobs where they will make more profit. They made me waste 2 weeks of time and I now have to start over looking for a contractor, or just take a couple of days of and do it myself. With respect to the other $100K projects, I will look for a company where that provides a signed contract like any serious business.

We had an amazing experience working with Felipe Landscaping. From start to finish, they were…read moreprofessional, courteous, and incredibly hardworking--even through a record heat wave. They completely transformed our yard in just two weeks, removing a huge amount of dead sod/plants and trees, building a beautiful cedar fence, installing a large paver patio, laying fresh sod with irrigation, and creating a gravel pad for a shed. We were very hands on with the design, changing it constantly, and Felipe was extremely flexible and supported making our dream a reality. Every detail was handled with care and craftsmanship, and the results far exceeded our expectations. Every day they worked, they left the area and parking lot completely clean and tidy. Felipe's communication was clear and consistent, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the progress at every stage. Felipe always said hello and wanted to talk through any unexpected issues with care. Felipe works with integrity and wants to see his customers happy. After speaking with five different landscapers, I chose Felipe because he was very responsive to our various requests, offered a fair price, and provided a detailed, itemized invoice. Our yard looks stunning, and we've already received so many compliments from friends and neighbors. If you're looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy landscaping company, I cannot recommend Felipe's Landscaping highly enough!

Terrific job done by Boston Framers!…read more We had contacted seven other contractors before getting such a positive response from Boston Framers. Our initial inquiry was sent on a Saturday, but the owner, Ruy Barbosa, replied within an hour. He met us the following workday to go over our needs and discussed various options. He projected confidence at being able to renovate our deck yet maintain its overall look. He was willing to work with us and the city's historic commission to preserve some key features of the deck. During the course of the work, Ruy and his staff were responsive to questions or changes that we requested. Communication with them was great. They were eager to please us and found ways to make the project stay on-time and within budget, even when curve balls were thrown at them. Overall, they renovated our dilapidated deck boards with composite flooring. They removed heavy railings and pillars, completely overhauled the structural supports, installed the composite flooring and finally replaced the railings & pillars. Additionally, we had them pressure wash and paint the deck. The cost associated with the structural supports and flooring was very much in line with what we believed was reasonable. We liked their work so much that they have also redone our rear porch & steps. Currently we are waiting on estimates for three more home projects. Before and after photos attached

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.
