I do not give any stars for this store. but yelp is making me give one. This store messed up all of my dresses, all the dresses are dirty and the wrong colour. We ordered 13 midnight blue dress and they made us wait SO LONG to get the dresses. Once we got the dresses they were not the right sizes and HALF OF THE DRESSES WERE TEAL! We asked for midnight blue. Now my whole wedding needs to change because they ruined it! When we confronted the employers about the mess up they denied everything and were being very rude! The workers are terrible, unprofessional and do not treat there clients properly. When we ordered the dresses at the start, 2 of the employees told us that all the colours would match, even though we ordered from 2 different designers. The employees promised us that the colours would match. But no! They gave us TEAL. Now when we told the employees they are trying to convince us that that never happened. So they are liars too. I do NOT recommend this store at all. "Say yes to the dress" more like "say never to the dress" No thank you, worst experience ever. They made me hate weddings , thank you
I'm really puzzled by these negative reviews because I had the most wonderful experience this past weekend at Amanda-Lina's with my Mom and sister. I had come from an appointment at a shall-remain-unnamed large chain wedding dress store, which was a lovely experience but neither personal nor elevated - in an hour and a half I could only try on a limit of 5 dresses. The store was so busy with so many people, it felt kind of chaotic. At Amanda-Lina's, I was one of two brides and my consultant Nancy took my ideas, and immediately began pulling personal suggestions from the racks. She was very conscious of my budget and my desire to buy off-the-rack due to time constraints, but never pushed me to buy. I tried on 7-8 dresses in about an hour and Nancy would often head out to the racks to pull different things based on how the dresses looked, and my feedback. She was so sweet and clearly good at her job. I ended up going with the 2nd dress I tried on, and the staff was patient as I asked to try two veils, hold the flowers, stand in the natural light, etc. Everyone was extremely kind and friendly, not pushy in the least. I really felt like Nancy wanted to help me feel and look my best - mission accomplished! Note: no photos and no drinks allowed. We knew this going in - my sister for her dress here last summer - but man, a Dixie cup of water would've been so great! be prepared! read more

I really enjoyed trying on different dresses and finding which one I loved the most. Teresa was so helpful when I needed to look for my dress. She made me feel comfortable and excited to find my dress. All the dresses they have a gorgeous and you can definitely find your dress there. I am so happy I said Yes to the dress! read more

I had an amazing experience at this bridal shop!!! My consultant was Diane and she was super nice and helpful the entire time. She listened to what I was looking for in a dress and picked dresses that fit my vision. The dress I had in mind wasn't in store the first time I visited the store so they ordered it in and I was able to try the dress on the following weekend. I said yes to the dress thanks to Diane!!!! I really recommend Amanda-Lina's!!! read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! There are sooo many other beautiful bridal stores that take the time to help you professionally AT NO CHARGE! and allow you to take photos. This place was the worst bridal experience I have had. I paid $75 for a VIP appointment which was not even worth my time. All you're paying for is to try on dresses in a closet, which they call a "private room" and to be rushed and pressured to "say yes to the scam", that's literally it! Nothing special at all, just a money grab. I arrived early because they charge you if you're late, but yet they were almost 5 minutes late taking me in for my appointment. I had to wait outside in the cold with 2 elderly women as the ladies working there were watching from inside and laughing. The whole experience was terrible. Very rude people and horrible customer service! Don't Trust them! read more

Worst store, worst employees, worst manager, just the absolute worst!!! They messed up 13 bridesmaid dresses, told us it would be 1 colour and it was the wrong colour. They won't even give a credit for the dresses, we are forced to keep them and now I have to change my whole wedding colours. Asked for navy blue, employee told me it would be that colour based on the swatches and it came out a bright teal!!!! Bullshit place They also grabbed the dresses out of my moms hand, a blonde older women rolled her eyes at me then denied it, the employees LIED about the swatches ever being shown despite 6 other women there saying they saw the swatches, they refused to show us the sales person that showed us the dresses and lied to us about the colour. These employees did nothing about the issue and just gave attitude and disrespect read more

Too angry to post right now. Do not get your dress here. This is not even a real person or Canadian owned. They live in a different country. If you have an issue, they will blame you and make you think you are "crazy". read more

Right when you walk in, you know this bridal store is very different than other bridal stores. They have a roped off section where they open for you to walk in.. I guess for you to feel the grand and red carpet feel when entering the circular dressing room area. It's surrounded by different mirrors and a few changing rooms. They assign a sales person to us when my best friend arrived to look for dresses. GRAND is the word I'd use to describe the look and ambience of the store, from the chandeliers to the Louboutin one of them wore (which she eventually changed into Burberry flats). But, how it felt was anything but GRAND. We weren't allowed to look at head pieces because they were locked up and the key was hidden because it's a sale day, and the veils were all over the place so no one could get my best friend a short one to try. During the actual dress trying there was a lot of aggression with selling the dresses but when my best friend asked to try on a specific dress she saw, it wasn't brought to her. The woman kept trying to get her to RING THE BELL! When she finally found a dress she really liked, it took them forever to find the price. When my best friend said she needed to take some time to think over coffee, the woman's face totally changed, as she wasn't going to "ring the bell" and she started being rude to her. When we eventually get out the front door, she chances after us to offer us another discount while we are all standing in the cold... very odd and unprofessional. It's grand in presentation but cheap in genuinity. My best friend ended up getting her dress from Mona Richie (an amazingly warm and lovely women who owns and operates her own store who gave us the real experience any engaged woman should have while picking THE dress). read more

I was originally excited when i purchased an Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique dress on clearance since I got it for a fairly decent price and it looked like (after careful inspection) that everything was working and in good shape. A couple of months ago, I opened the dress bag to check on the dress and to my horror, when I touched some of the beading along the bust area of the dress, the beads just fell off! I was upset because it looked and felt fine at the bridal show! I did contact them to see if they could remedy this situation but they insisted I would have to pay them a fee for fixing a broken dress (a problem which arose because of their poor workmanship)! I know I took a risk when purchasing a 'final sale' dress but coming from Amanda-Lina's I thought I could trust the quality of their work. I guess not. So if you're a bride-to-be I'd say skip the headache and guesswork of which dresses are good quality or not and buy somewhere else. And if you've already purchased one, be VERY VERY thorough inspecting the dress. Good luck! read more

Such an amazing experience from start to finish ! They made me feel comfortable and I found the perfect dress !! Thank you so much
My review for this store is actually 3.5/5. I came here last Thursday and said 'yes' to the dress! Before coming here, I had already gone to three other places. There was this very specific dress from Maggie Sottero that I wanted to try on so I called Amanda Lina Sposa in advance to make sure they had this dress before I booked the appointment. The store is really pretty and they have a lot of gowns for you to look at. I went with my mother and my fiancé's mom. We were free to look around while we waited for our consultant. After waiting for about 5 minutes, our consultant arrived. Our consultant was helpful and nice. The minute that I tried on the dress that I came here for, I already knew it was the one. So my appointment was really only 40 minutes. The only downside here is that you cannot take pictures, which I knew of already before coming in. After saying 'yes' to the dress, I was measured right away and the dress was ordered for me. Because I did my research on this specific dress, I knew that there was a petite size available (3 inches shorter than regular length) because I'm only 5'2". However, I had to point this out to my consultant and the front desk. But they had already put in the order for the regular size so they had to cancel that order and then place another order for the petite before I paid my 60% deposit. Being only 5'2 and between a size 0-2, I think it would've made sense to at least advise your customer of the petite option so they can decide which one to get. But because I had done my research on this dress, I felt like I knew a bit more than my consultant? Other than that, the experience was good. You also don't need to alter your dress here if you don't want to. After getting my gown, I also visited the attached store which sells mother of the bride dresses. The ladies there were so lovely and sweet! Because I had purchased my wedding gown there, I get an additional 10% off for mother of the bride dresses. My mom and future mother in-law are interested in coming back for their dresses. At this time, I'm not sure if I will be purchasing my accessories at Amanda Lina Sposa. I just noticed in my follow-up email that "any accessories purchased elsewhere including belts, jackets, etc., are not permitted during your fitting process". Just a heads up for other brides who decide to come here. Overall, I would recommend this bridal store to other brides! read more

My daughter booked her appointment with a consultant to look at wedding dresses. She was very excited to come to Amanda-Lina's! We knew the rules about no pictures so we fully expected that (even if I am not in agreement). My daughter told them ahead of time the style she was looking for but they weren't pre pared for her. Once there we selected about 6 dresses to try on and the consultant selected one. They did have a large selection of dresses but not a large selection of sizes. My daughter really loved two of the dresses and was having a hard time making a decision. The consultant told us she could record the dresses in my daughters file and my daughter could decide and let her know. I asked if she could provide us the information so that we could look at them on Amanda-Lina's website so she could make her decision. Our consultant told us she could only give us a SKU number and that it wouldn't assist us with looking on their site. Really??? You are expected to make a decision on a dress for one of the most important days of your life in short order and not be able to look at it again while making your decision? If my daughter had fallen in love with one of the dresses I would have taken her back to get it even if I feel this store doesn't deserve our business, but thankfully my daughter felt the same way. This store doesn't care about the bride and her special day, they care about selling a dress and that's it. I work in a service industry and if we treated clients like this I would be mortified! There are wonderful wedding dress shops out there that care about the bride and their main goal is to make them happy and provide a great experience. My daughter found a dress and it was NOT at Amanda-Lina's. Spend your money somewhere where you are appreciated....... read more

Sam and Rachelle Pollari, the way you run your business is pathetic. I am not only disgusted in your lack of customer service but in your deliberate abuse of autonomy over your customers. It is completely clear, on many accounts, that all you care about is a customer purchasing a dress. Once that transaction happens, you have zero care about how your store looks to everyone around you. You grew up in the sales industry with your parents? Did they not teach you that you should honour your company's mistakes? That when someone from YOUR COMPANY fails to do their job, that is it not the customer's fault but YOURS? Or is it you simply do not put the time in to properly train your staff to use a measuring tape? Your employee measured me and thoroughly believed I was a size 8. I made it very clear I would rather buy a size larger because I knew I did not want the dress fitting tightly around my hips. That I would rather take it in than worry about it being too tight. Against HER judgement, I went with a size up. The size 10 comes in and guess what? It's too tight around the hips. And no, I didn't gain weight. I immediately brought the dress in, explained my issue. It's even in my file that I made it clear I wanted bigger. Three sales members measured and believed the dress was faulty and the wrong size when they measured it in front of me. They go to the back with the dress, come out and then tell me actually it's the right size but I wasn't measured where the dress hits around the thighs. They said they'd contact the company to get a bigger size. I made it clear I was not going to pay for a second dress, to which they agreed. Two weeks+ go by and nothing - not a word. It was only a day after I had to call to ask what was going on that surprise, they got word from the manufacturer and notified me that they wouldn't be able to get a dress in. They phoned me and said "the seamstress wants you to come in to see what they can do to alter the dress because we can't get the size 12 in time for the wedding" - to me, that means they will take care of the mistake. If I wasn't going to be paying for a new sized dress, why would I pay for alterations? I go in, they tell me everything they are going to do to fix the issue, pin me, have conversations and all seems to be going well. After about 30 minutes of this, they finally bring up how much it'll cost me. Was that phone-call about the seamstress simply an attempt to get me to come in and pressure me into thinking I need to have it altered at your location? Did you think after all of that, that I would just say "OK" and pay for it? That too is very sad, but at this point not surprising. Is it that you spend time telling your employees how to scam customers that you don't have time to properly teach them how to measure for different dress styles? Your store wasted an hour of my time in the change room standing in a dress and heels while on the phone with the manager (who really knows) only to come and finally tell me that you can't afford to pay 70 dollars for YOUR COMPANY'S MISTAKE? Alternatively I could pay $350 for overall alterations instead of $450 ON A $250 DRESS?? ARE YOU COMPLETELY INSANE? Do you realize how utterly ridiculous that even sounds? And "sorry, but that's the best you can do" does not even remotely cut it. Can you imagine I listened to your employee who assured me I was a size 8? What would I have done then with a wedding in one month? Thank God I listened to myself instead of your staff the day I ordered the dress - God forbid they knew more about dress sizing than I do, they only work at a Bridal dress shop. I am so incredibly disgusted in your sad excuse of a company. This is not how you do business. This is how you lose returning and future customers. But you already know that, don't you. read more

Omg where do I start?? went to this shop to look for a gown. Loved one of the gowns a sales associate brought me. Albeit, she failed to ask me my price range and brought me a 1300$ dress. Tried a few gowns on and noticed that just outside my curtained off change room, an older man was standing there, who could see right into my change room. Advised the sales lady about this but nothing was done, because apparently he was the husband of a customer. Ashamed and regretful to say, I ended up purchasing a dress there because it was too lovely and time was limited. Time to take my measurements! They brought me to the lobby (entrance) of the store, where the cashiers were, to take my measurements where they were read aloud to someone to record. I told the person taking my measurements that I felt this was not the ideal place to do this; she totally ignored the comment. Next was payment time, they asked if I wanted to pay in full?? Why should I pay in full when the dress is not even ordered yet? I feel like an idiot and should have walked out. Customer service here is beyond terrible. Whoever owns this place should consider retraining their staff and use Kleinfelds as an example. Wish I had never gone here. Other people told me how bad they were but I didn't listen. They're just another money hungry business. read more

My first experience involved an absolutely amazing woman named Diane. There are not enough positive things I could say about Diane, from understanding my needs, being engaging, to her knowledge of the various dresses, designers and absolutely all things bridal. I left with a spring in my step after purchasing my 1st gown. I returned to the store a second time and chose my second gown, again with the assistance of Diane. I had second thoughts about the cut of the dress after looking at it on line, and Diane had me come back in the next day, I decided to go with a different dress which I felt more comfortable in.I enjoyed working with Diane and her knowledge and professionalism. I returned a 3rd time to buy a gown for my daughter, working with Diane. She, was magic with my daughter, and it was quick and painless. This is where we go from exemplary service to below mediocre.I was contacted that 1 of my dresses was in, along with my daughter's; my MOH called in to make an appointment for our 1st FITTING and to find a dress for her. July 8th at 10(the day of the Roger's shutdown). Upon arrival,I was greeted in a very unfriendly manner and told we did not have an appointment. The chill coming from Lauren was palpable enough that my 12y.o. noticed.I explained that my MOH had made the appointment, I was told an appointment was scheduled for 11am for a "try on and pick up" I reiterated that it was a fitting by the seamstress.Lauren eventually made it feel like she was moving mountains to " squeeze us in" at 1230 pm, but we would have to be "quick as a VIP bride" had booked the room. I asked repeatedly for Diane as I knew she would sort it out.Due to the Roger's issue, Diane was unable to come in( as were so many affected by this outage). We went nextdoor, found a dress for my MOH(4th dress purchase) At 1230,I proceeded to try on my dress. It did not fit!The associate, told me I needed to lose another 10 pounds and then I was whisked to the back with the seamstresses. On our way back I spoke to Amanda (daughter of owner) and let her know just how terrible Lauren had made our entire group feel - can you imagine my shock and awe to be told" this is how she has been trained to be".I put on my dress and was told, sorry it does not fit and we are going to need to do major alterations. And then I was told that my second dress would not be in until the end of the month, and they would not be able to do the alterations as they were too busy. At the time of purchase, I'd offered to pay a rush fee in order to receive my dress on time and to be fitted properly - which I was told no,we had plenty of time.I paid the exorbitant fees for alterations and was told there would be even more fees.I left the store feeling defeated. I reached out to Diane and let her know what was happening -and once her phone was working, she got right back to me.OnJuly 11,I called and left a message for Sam(the owner) asking that he please return my call. I returned to the store on July 12, met Diane, she had me try on my dress again, and...It fit! Nothing had been done, no 10lbs shed. Just the always professional Diane. My 2nd dress had arrived, and it fit. (the other staff told me it wouldn't) July 14 I called again, left a Vm in Sam's mailbox, and with Lauren. To this time, Sam has not called. Management does not appear to return phone calls. Brides - make sure to ask for Diane. THANK YOU, DIANE! To the rest - you all need a lesson in professionalism. read more

I've been to this store twice to try on dresses. Customer service is meh. But what really bothered me was about 20 days after purchasing a dress from them, and putting $1761 for a deposit, they called me to say that my order is on HOLD and there is a 15% + TAX ($389.70) charge for the size I need (18), OR I can order a smaller size (rude). I told them "I would call them back about if i want the dress" and they said okay. After calling them back to let them know I'd like a refund, they told me a manager will give me a call back. Later on when I received a called back and told them I wanted a refund, they said that they can lower the extra charge to $150. I said "no, there is no other solution, I just want my money back", the lady put me on hold for maybe 30 seconds and came back and said "they will waive the extra cost because they know it was their fault". What? Why would you not just do that in the first place since it was YOUR mistake? I said "NO, I want a refund!" They had told me already that my dress is on hold, so it has not been started. They told me because the order already has an order number or something that it can't be cancelled. This call was useless. ** The first call alone breaches the contract making it null and void. Especially since they maintained their position during that call and until I called them back asking for a refund. If you guys realized your mistake earlier I wouldn't have to hear excuses about it already having a number associated with it. Really, because of a number?! AND what's the point of putting it on hold if there is no option to cancel it? If i still wanted it you are delaying when I'd get it are you not? I just want nothing to do with an establishment that tries to make people feel like the only way they can get the dress they want is by doing what they say (pay more), and make them feel trapped in the process. I already have anxiety, and having anything to do with Amanda Lina's at this point will just be very nerve racking. I would've been 100% happy with a full refund and maybe only a little disappointed. read more

This place is a joke. Went here with my Mom as I've seen it on Say Yes to the Dress- I've had a few friends who warned me I would never find something here but decided to check it out anyways. Arrived right on time for our appointment and waited 40 minutes (this was a weekday 11am appointment but they were busy apparently). Looked around saw a few interesting dresses that I tried on with an open mind. Sales girl was okay- she was just doing her job. When I asked further questions about the gown like who makes it? Where is it made? The sales person kept saying "it doesn't work like that here" ...What? I pretended to be intrigued with a certain gown and proceeded to ask her questions (where is it made? who is the designer? any quality issues?) and she had no clue- she kept saying she would have to check. She said their dresses are ALL made in Europe, New York or Canada but did not know and would not be able to tell me that LOL. I reasoned that since my wedding is less then 6 months away that would play an important factor in my decision making- especially because I was willing to pay rush fees. WHY ARE THERE NO LABELS ON THE DRESSES? The 'sample dress' I tried on fit perfectly and the salesperson was adamant the size was wrong because the dress was "stretched out" and wanted to order me a dress 3X sizes up? Ok given- but 3x sizes up? Clearly this was just to profit off of alterations. If you are on a budget and want a dress made from China here is your place. This is not a high end in place whatsoever and is mind boggling how they made it into a tv show. If you think a converted industrial unit with a chandelier is 'high end' you need to get out more. (I ended up purchasing my dress from Kleinfield at the Bay and the sales person gave me tons of information on each dress I tried on... where it came from... who the designer was... what the feedback was from her previous clients.) read more

My wife bought her dress here for our wedding last year. MAJOR TIP! Watch out for the alternation fees. They ask for their maximum amount $$$ for the alterations that will be needed. In her case, her wedding dress needed next to no alterations and yet they did not offer any money back. So I'd strongly recommend asking for money back if this is the case. This aside, the service and pricing is good! read more

It was not a great experience. Went in on dec 31st to look for a gown. The sales associate (Milina) was very rude and obviously did not want to be there. Literally just wanted to make a sale and did not give me the bridal experience every girl dreams of. She didn't bring out styles that looked good on me and would sigh every time I didn't like a dress. I felt forced to make a purchase which I regretted the next day. My own fault for not saying no and being bullied into purchasing a dress :( Terrible experience. They are just looking at making a sale and not the happiness of the customer. read more

This was my first bridal appointment and the absolute worst. Despite making an appointment on a quiet Tuesday morning well in advance and filling out all their online forms as well as creating a wish list on their site of styles I liked, it was a disappointing experience throughout. First they had me refell out the entire information form when I arrived, then the consultant I was given proceeded to tell em none of the styles I showed her, pinned from their site, were not there. Despite describing in detail what I was looking for nothing I was given to try on was remotely in the realm of what I was looking for and I felt my concerns and requests regarding style were constantly being dismissed. It was clear my consultant was over it when she walked away saying she would write down the two dresses I didn't hate, but even then she couldn't tell me the designer of the dresses just gave me the sku numbers from their inventory which can't be looked up by anyone but them. Horrible experience and absolutely would not recommend to anyone, nothing like what you see on Say Yes to the Dress Canada. read more

I heard about this shop through a friend who went there, and she informed me that it was the "say yes to the dress" store. My fiance and mom were suggesting that I go there to see what the "experience" was like, since I was a fan of the show. After doing a lot of research (and reading only negative reviews) I decided not to go there. One day, My mom and I were in the area in between other bridal gown appointments and last minute decided to call up and see if anyone could see me. Within 10 minutes, I was in the shop with Teresa. I have to say my mind was changed about this place. The store is very pretty, sitting area for your "entourage" is comfortable and very luxurious. Teresa was nice and made great recommendations. Loved all her picks. She thought of a dress at the last minute which was nothing like what I described that I wanted, and it ended up being my favourite! She helped me in and out of every dress! Was not pushy at all. Downside is that you can't take pictures, this is a huge negative for me. Can't "say yes" without my maid of honour seeing it! (She lives a couple hours away so this is a big problem). Also I would just genuinely like to see how the dress photographs before I purchase it. The other huge negative is that they ripped all tags off the dresses so you can't see the designer of it! (Are they that insecure??) I managed to find the designer and dress online in a matter of minutes when I went home. Another downside is that you can't look around. All dresses are in the back and they pull things for you. Would be nice to at least see a few to determine what style you like. In conclusion, I had a better experience than anticipated, but you just have to weigh the pro's and con's about this place. read more

Lucia was absolutely amazing! Listened to my wants in a prom dress and found me the absolute perfect dress. Prices are a little high but not higher than any other typical dress store in the GTA. The selection of dresses is great aswell. Overall, great experience. read more

I had a really terrible experience here. I went to look for my wedding dress and immediately the entire energy of the place was bleak and depressing. No one greeted us with a smile, we waited 15 minutes for our consultant to meet with us and when she arrived, she was rude and uninterested. The dresses are shoved together, one on top of another and frankly looked kind of sad. When your about to sped thousands of dollars on a gown you would think they would take the time to organize the dresses in a more organized and magical manner. The woman who helped me was the most unfriendly person I have ever met. I tried to talk to her in the change room and she was as cold as ice. I felt so awkward. Every time I didn't like something, she criticized my choices and feelings and made me feel bad about it. I felt she was pressuring me to make a decision and buy something that I didn't feet 100% right about. When I asked her "what do you think would look good on me" her response was "I don't know what to tell you, whatever you want really". I thought their job was to guide you and show you options? Nope. It's all about class and customer service and this was beyond disappointing. Please take your business elsewhere. P.s. Amanda-lina (if you read these things here is a tip) - Get some lights in the place, it's as dark as a dungeon in there. Oh, a smile would be nice too... us brides are getting married after all! read more

****DO NOT GO HERE**** After a long morning of touring various campuses with my father over march break, we decided to shop around for my graduation dress. Coming from Peterborough back to Hamilton, we thought we'd stop by Amanda-Lina's to look around and possibly purchase a dress from their boutique. I had read up on the reviews and decided to ignore the negative ones and go in with an open mind... As soon as we walked in: -we were not greeted during the one hour in store -we struggled to even find my size while 4 assistants were leaned quite comfortably against the cash register just watching me and my father wander to the 'old ladies' side as an associate pointed out -we attempted to ask for help by walking their way and even calling ,"excuse me!!" they would quickly turn around and conveniently find something to do instead of AT LEAST guiding us in some sort of direction - one girl who looked about my age had 3 assistants helping her and catering her every complaint After that horrendous hour, we walked out and not one 'goodbye' was said to us. Unfortunately, Yelp does not have a rating lower than 1 star and if they did....they'd have a negative 6 stars. Disrespectful staff, lazy, not customer oriented or even friendly. I'm being nice giving them a star at all. Worst experience ever! Would not reccommend this place to any future brides. I had an appointment at 3 and was 10 mins early for the Maggie Sottero Trunk Show. When I arrived - no one greeted be at all but had associates standing & walking around. I went up to a lady and said that I had an appointment at 3pm. She handed me a card to fill out and once done, she told me to look around and that they'll come get me when theyre ready. About 20 mins into my appointment - no one had come to get me. I went to the cashier and stood in front of the counter. The lady at the counter clearly saw me but didn't acknowledge me whatsoever. After standing there for about 5 mins - a man from the register finally looked at me and asked if there was anything I needed help with. I told him that I had an appointment at 3 and needed to be elsewhere after. He took my card which was still sitting on the counter and immediately went to go get an available consultant. Finally, the consultant that was assigned to me - Connie Dimatteo came over to get me. She looked at my card and immediately told me to look around and find the dress I was interested in. She gave me absolutely no direction of how the dresses were organized and where to start. I knew then - that this appointment was going downhill. I told her tht my budger was $1200 and looking for the mermaid style. I was specifically looking for Maggie Sottero dresses. She took my binder of pictures and went through it VERY rudely! As she went through each picture, she said it was over my budget, around my budget and another was WAY out of my budget. I was looking to see if theyre were styles similar to the dresses in my binder not whether or not it was in by budget or not. She has to be one of the worst consultants ever! She gathered a couple of dresses for me and guided me the one of the dressing rooms. She hung the dresses and told me to call her when I was done putting them on. My MOH and I were shocked to see that she wouldn't even help me put the dresses on! My MOH and I were left on our own!. The consultant would also just barge in while I was changing without knocking or asking if everything was alright. She was rude and annoying as hell! She kept pushing after I tried on a couple of dresses that if I purchased the dress this weekend that she would give me a couple hundred dollars off and would give me a really good price! She was clearly there to make a sale and not assist me in any way. I assumed the dresses I was wearing were Maggie Sottero but all the labels were removed and attached with 'Amanda-Lina's' label. You can see it was sewn on. I asked the consultant if these were Maggie Sottero and she was very vague. She wouldn't even give me a straight answer. I asked for the model number and again she wouldn't give it to me. She said if I was ready to buy it, she would give me all the information at the front counter. My MOH and I were so turned off bu the customer service and experience that we left the store. I definitely DO NOT recommend this place to anyone. They have rude associates with lack of experience & customer service and knowledge about their stock. I'm disappointed at this experience and will definitely email Maggie Sottero HO about this retailer 'selling' their merchandise! read more

Where to start. Was excited to find out this was the set for say Yes to the dress Canada. Went there to try on one dress in particular. Which they did have. I found the pricing on the dresses was quite high, about $200 more than other stores for the same dress. Don't use the washroom, there is no Kleenex. And no pictures. The consultant was not the best at listening to what I was looking for and we were not acknowledged until our appointment time. Even though we were 15 minutes early. Would not recommend this salon. read more

I went to a few bridal stores on my journey to finding "Thee" dress. Amanda Lina sposa was as others had said, was nice to walk into and had a beautiful chandelier and a grand big room in the back for trying on dresses. They had a lot of dresses in the back, or so it seemed, but we were not allowed back there( the one bridal salon out of all the ones I had been to that didnt allow you to also look at the dresses and help pull which ones you liked) So you really had to trust your consultant. My main issue here was they were pushy for you to choose your dress and ring that bell and the other main issue which i don't even think is legal, is they cut out all the tags out of every dress so you don't know the designer of the dress until you purchase the dress. So it can be a mori lee or maggie sottero dress but you will not know as they cut out the tag, will not tell you the dress and in the case of my dress I was going to purchase, it was $1000 more than everywhere else, and if I had not figured out what dress it was, I would never had known.. Legally, Im think what they are doing is not allowed, as Im pretty sure stores arent allowed to cut out the tags and names of apple, Samsung, sony, and put their own store brand on it. Ridiculous and I would NOT recommend this store to purchase your dress read more

If there was a zero rating I would be giving it. Writing on behalf of my daughter. She attended this store a couple of months back and was told that she (and the rest of the wedding party) had to buy a dress two sizes too big as the manufacturer often shipped dresses that were smaller than the actual size. The size 12 almost fit her - we have pictures (except for the hem length and a minor alteration that would have needed to be done to tighten the bodice). Picked up the "insisted upon" size 14 dress and it was like a tent on my daughter. Took it to a seamstress who confirmed it was way too big but that she would do her best to alter it at a cost that doubled the cost of the dress. Alterations were completed but bodice is still too large. Seamstress was reluctant to further alter as when pinned the dress lost it's shape. I reached out to the store - Nirvanie in customer services advises me that there is nothing they can do as we didn't take it to their seamstress. Nothing in their contract says we had to take it to them! We chose not to as we read the google reviews and learned that their prices were outrageous! As well, a couple of the girls did get their alterations done (and aren't satisfied with their dresses either....) at an outrageous cost. Horrible customer service - no one ever answers the phone. Rude people at the front desk. Asked to speak to the owner and was told they aren't at liberty to hand out that information. Horribly run business out to make money off of trusting customers by talking them into large dresses that require more money to be spent on alterations. We had to turn to another bridal shop - Helen's Bridal in Barrie - to buy another dress (same designer, in stock, new!!). They have gone out of their way to help in this horrible situation. Take my advice and stay away from Amanda-Lina's Sposa! read more

I had the worst experience here. I'll agree that they have a huge selection of dresses and I like the dress that I picked out. The problem with my dress was that I was told I should order a size 10, even though I'm normally a size 2 or 4. She told me that sizes are different since I'm ordering from Australia. The odd thing is that I found out later than she measured my upper half as a 4 but my waist as a 10 (I honestly have no hips...), with D cups (I'm usually an A cup). When the dress came in, it was massive on me. She convinced me that it's normal for it to be so big on me, but since there are so many alterations that need to be made, it will cost more thant he cost of the dress to alter it. When I brought it to 2 other locations to get it altered, they had wondered why I ordered such a large dress and that it's' unfortunate they did that to me, because it's such a detailed dress and they would have to alter all the stitching. When I emailed Amanda Lina's back to tell them about my experience and wondering if they could assist me, they told me that they cannot since I already went elsewhere, then never wrote back to my emails inquirying about why I was sized the way I was. I'm told that some companies will size you up higher just so they can charge you more on alterations. I warn everyone that if you do go into Amanda Lina's, just go in having done your research on knowing what size is best for you and argue them if they try to tell you otherwise. read more

I bought my wedding dress here about a year ago (wedding was July 21 2018), and I had no problems initially. The sales lady was kind and quite helpful. However, once you've purchased, any kind of care or concern goes out the window. There are only select times and days that are available for fittings, which are virtually impossible if you work regular 9-5 hours. My veil, which was just under 500$, had a hole in it as soon as I put it on, and as my wedding was the following day, there was nothing I could do. I also went next door to their bridesmaid and mother of the bride dress section and received the worst customer experience ever. We picked 3 dresses and were waiting for the girls to be fitted. We waited 45 minutes because there was only one women who could do the measurement fittings. Once the fittings started. we were informed that one dress was unavailable to order because it was on sale. We were a bit frustrated that the dress was on display with all the other regular priced dresses, to which the owner of the store replied that we should have known it was on sale. She said we should have looked at the price tag and seen the sale sticker. I then asked her to show me the price tag, and obviously there wasn't one. Nevetheless, we continued with the measurements for the 2 other dresses, only to find out that another one was also on sale, unavailable to order, and was incorrectly ticketed. At this point we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. We found stunning dresses at Avenue 22, and I wish I had gone there for my bridal gown because the staff were incredibly helpful, and they had a very large selection. All in all, I would not go back to this bridal store or recommend it to anyone. If I could, I would give them 0 stars. Their only redeeming quality was a very kind and sweet girl working in alterations that seemed to genuinely care. I was told by the boutique that I would be credited 20$ for the breast cups that they had sewn into my dress if I wrote a "positive" review, and I will gladly let them keep that money in order to share my experience and displeasure of how I and my bridesmaids were treated. read more

The worst possible experience at a bridal salon ever! I brought my friend (the bride ) here to get her dress she had full intention to purchase on the spot since she's only in town for a short period of time she had to leave with a dress today! The sales people were cold , pushy and the manager walked past saw that we had cell phones and thought we were going to take photos (we were never going to take photos ) and told another sales girl to stand behind us and watch us and they weren't whispering so we heard it all! Our sales girl was nice but was pushing dresses at the bride that she specifically said she didn't want. I personally have been to bridal salons before and have had great experiences at other places but I really felt bad for my friend because this was her first bridal salon experience and it wasn't a good one AT ALL ! HIGHLY DO JOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE AND I AM NOT THE FIRST TO HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE UNFORTUNATELY! It's definitely worth the drive to go to The Gown in Newmarket best bridal experience ever!!! read more

I brought my dress at the wedding convention center where they were having a sale. Had a good experience there and left with a dress in hand being told that I could bring it to the store and get a few minor things fixed. At first when i went to the store i was approached nicely and asked to go to the fitting room to try on the dress. That's when it went downhill.. Th saleslady did not even attempt to lace me up but instead called over 3 other ladies, they came, spoke Italian and said things like "oh ya no problem, we put here and here". When i asked for clarifications as to what was going on, what was being done or the purpose for it, i was not given a clear answer and "bella dont worry we will take care of it". She then left me alone to get out of the dress. When i left the fitting room and into the store, she came back and said 'it will be $450". I was shocked because i felt it came out of no where and noone could explain the purpose of anything. I then told her i just wanted my dress and was going to go, she said "you have somewhere else to go? you dont want to do it here?" and "its not even alot of money, everyone has to pay". I politely told her it was not about the money, but rather an understanding of what was going on and giving me the choice rather than shoving it down my thoat. I ended up taking my dress and leaving. Worst experience ever. I was livid and have never been spoke to with such a condescending tone. I cant speak to the whole store being that way, but that sales lady was just horrible. read more

Consultant was apathetic, bored and just plain unethical. I tried on a sample wedding gown that I loved but was told it was on sale because the style is discontinued and can no longer be ordered. The sample was a size 12, which was much too big. Knowing that the amount of alterations would be drastic and the cost of this being substantial, I was obviously hesitant. The consultant continued to pressure me telling me that I shouldn't worry about alterations and to "just get it!". Then she started to bash the bridal store where I had appointment at later that day by saying it rips off designs. Whether this is true or not, it is very unprofessional and awkward. In the end, I was not comfortable doing any business with them so I left. As soon as I got home, I called 4 other stores that carried this designer and all of them said that the dress was not discontinued and could still be ordered. One of the stores even contacted the manufacturer directly. Even if the consultant truly thought it was discontinued due to a mistake, it is still her fault for making such a big error. Specially when I confirmed with her more than once. I can only assume that her lie was a slimy high-pressure tactic to make a quick sale. Try Superior Bridal, Jealous Bridesmaids or BluIvory Bridal where the prices, service and overall atomsphere are worth your time. Thankfully, I walked away from that place and ordered my dress at a better price with better people. read more

Heartbroken!! 4 ladies out for some leisurely Bridal Gown shopping arrive at this highly televised location, expecting to experience some top notch service and create a wonderful memory. What we got was ignored, disrespected and humiliated. Arriving 1 hour after they wrapped a new episode of "Say Yes... Dress" what occurred was this... When booking the appointment the Bride asked if they carried a variety of gowns in a large size and was reassured that they had plenty for her to choose from. Once we arrived the staff had no gowns pulled or prepared, were limp and cold in attitude, and seemed generally disinterested. They supplied minimal effort in assisting my friend in and out of the dresses which were all 4 sizes too small! There was no consideration for the clients fit, comfort or humility. AND the podiums and mirrors are open to the public so all other brides could see her poor, misfit gowns that left most of her back exposed to the store. After finally giving up on the attendant's suggestions that the gowns would be made more attractive with "a belt or some earrings" we aborted the mission and headed for the door. Our expectations weren't unrealistic, we DID however expect to enjoy ourselves and make some positive memories. After being ignored and humiliated this obviously didn't happenen. We did however have an exceptional experience at a fantastic little wedding dress boutique in Newmarket , The Gown. G. read more

I was very poorly treated from the moment I walked in. Because I showed up with no "entourage" they thought I was there to play dress up. So from the get-go they did not want to help me (I had an appointment). I selected the dresses I wanted to try (total of 4) and luckily enough I found the perfect one for me. Bear in mind I selected my perfect dress, they didn't assist me in selecting that one. I said I was ready to take the dress and then they started treating me a little better. Even though they did not show me how the dress looked with a crinoline (the dress needs one). I buy the dress and then they tell me that the corset laces will be given to me when I come back for alterations. Alterations start at $199 and go to $495. The crinolines start at $150!! (naively enough) I make my alteration appointment. But then they didn't schedule me (this happened twice!). I complained. I got tired and canceled ALL alterations and just asked for my corset laces. The coup de grâce is that they did not know which corset laces were the right ones for my dress!!! They made me choose from 4 different laces (without me having the dress there). I lost it. Took random laces and walked out. I do NOT recommend this place, it can really ruin your dress shopping experience like it did mine. read more

Hello, I do not recommend shopping at Amanda-lina's. I bought my wedding dress there and I truly regret the whole experience. Many of the staff are often incredibly rude and talk back. You can never get through when you call and no one calls you back. The front desk women have an attitude and are not very helpful. I was never made to feel relaxed during any of my fittings. The seamstress's argued with me over what alternations I required. In the end I needed exactly what I asked for, even though they argued with me constantly. They picked the wrong cup size and told me it was all they had. They told me it did not need to be taken in in certain spots, it wasn't until my Mother argued with them about it that they agreed to make the change. When I was looking for a veil at another prestigious wedding gown store in Toronto I was told that a) Casablanca my gown designer would have added buttons down the back of the gown when they were making it and b) that they charged me double the normal price of $150 for buttons the entire way down the dress , I only got mine 1/2 way down. Then when I went to pick up my dress my dress two days before my wedding 1/2 of my alterations had not been done and they had made mistakes on other alterations. After they worked to fix the mistake they tried to make me feel grateful they worked so hard for me. Overall, the experience was unpleasant from start to finish. Other stores carry there exact same stock. If you want to enjoy your experience of being a bride do not shop there. Oh and the store only looks nice because the show renovated it for them. read more

I bought my wedding dress at Amanda Lina's in August of 2015 - I selected this shop based on the fact that they had many of the designers/gowns I wished to try on. My Consultant was Cristina and she was fabulous - she pulled all of the gowns I was looking for and when I hated ALL of them she was quick to show me other gowns. She was really easy going, very knowledgeable and great to work with. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy the gown that day, but I absolutely loved the dress and did not wish to look any further. Prior to my appointment I had read some of the online reviews for the Shop and they were all over the place - some absolutely hated it and others absolutely loved it. So I went in with an open mind, I think most people need to understand that everyone's experience will be different. If you wanted to check out this shop but are discouraged with the reviews, go in with an open mind and feel no pressure to make your purchase there. I think most will be pleasantly surprised. read more

I was privy to an incident that happened this past week and I felt compelled to write a review. I am torn as to the rating I should give. In one aspect I want to give 5 stars and in another I wish to give 1. There was an incident where an irate customer was yelling and screaming at the poor young lady at the front desk. The store was very full and my neice and I had to wait for awhile, but I understand that this sometimes happens. I wish I had gotten this young ladies name but she was a petite blonde with her her hair in a pony tail. I believe she was the supervisor. I have to commend this young lady as she handled the situation with patience and grace and in a very professional manner. If it had been myself, I would of lost it at the first moment of yelling. From what I could pertain, this customer did not wish to pay for services they had just recieved. For this professional handling of this situation, the selection of dresses, and the layout of the store, I would give it 5 stars. About what seemed 1/2 hour or so later, another supervisor arrived. She seemed disconnected and unaffected by what was going on. She did not offer support of any kind to this young lady. She also gave this customer a large discount! She rewarded this woman's completely irate and terrible behavior? I need to ask, where was the support for the blonde supervisor? Where were the owners? This young lady was left on her own to diffuse a bad situation and did not receive any help or back up from the store? I ran into this group of ladies a little while later at a mall just near Amandalinas. I felt compelled to point out that her behavior was beyond acceptable. She laughed off the incident and told me that she got what she wanted...a huge discount. Unbelievable. A one star for this situation. I have made a point to rewrite this review with the names of the employees as I felt it important to note. The young blonde supervisor who worked with professionalism and was able to stand and talk to an irate customer with grace and patience was Erica. The "manager" was Miriam. Her answer was to totally disregard the stance that Erica was trying to make and to make the situation "go away" easily, by giving in and giving a huge discount. What kind of message does this give to all of us other customers watching this transaction going on....if I put up a fuss, I don't need to pay full price? I need to ask myself if this young lady is paid enough to receive such abuse with no support from the store. I will make a point to mention this personally to the owners when I go for a fitting with my neice. My personal voice of support for Erica. Good for you! And I wish others would have the gumption and dedication to handle situations such as these in a way that bodes well for their training and professionalism. read more

I heard about this store from a relative of mine that purchased her prom dress here a few years back. She looked amazing in her dress on her special day and I knew when it was time for me to look for a gown for THE DAY i just had to check out this store. I did see some negative reviews online but I wanted to be able to check it out for myself and I can say that they did not disappoint. I did go to a few other bridal stores and had some good and some bad service however Amandalinas gave me the best experience I have ever had shopping for a dress. As soon as I walked in the door I knew this was the place that I would find THE DRESS! The ladies at the front greeted me right away with smiles and had me registered in no time. Once I was assigned my consultant Nima she brought me up into this spacious stage area that was surrounded with beautiful gowns. She was incredibly patient with us and truly made me feel like someone special. My crazy, but I love them, entourage (mother, mother in law, both my sisters and 2 bridesmaids) went a little over the top and were pulling a ton of dresses they wanted me to try on. Unfortunately a lot of the dresses my girls picked for me were out of my budget which I told my consultant when we were in the change room. She was able to go to the back and pull some gowns that were similar to the ones my family picked but closer to my price range. Every store that I went to I told them exactly what I've been trying on and what I've been liking (ball gown with lace) which is all that they really pulled for me as I was set on this style. Nima pulled this style for me but also pulled some other fits that she wanted me to try on. Let me just say ladies, when you are looking for a dress listen to your consultant. The gorgeous dress that I fell in love with was actually one of the ones she pulled that I didn't want to try on! Once I walked out of the change room and i saw the looks on everyones faces I knew it was the dress for me. I honestly did not want to take the dress off. I had my 'say yes to the dress' moment and got to ring the bell in a beautiful trumpet gown that not only looked amazing but was within the budget, which deserves praise on its own! From start to finish I received amazing service from not only my consultant but from some of the other ladies who were in the vicinity during my appointment. After finding my dress we were able to look at and try on bridesmaids dresses and managed to get it all done in the same day. All I have is praise and thanks for Nima and I cannot wait to come back once our dresses arrive! I wish I could give more than 5 stars and my advice to women who are looking for a wedding gown is to visit Amandalinas! read more

Such a lovely bridal store. No wonder they were picked by Say Yes To The Dress franchise to showcase the canadian version. I went to dress shopping two weeks ago with my family. We booked appointments at 4 different bridal stores and saved Amandalinas as our last. You always save the best for last. I went to Ritche, New Bridal, a couple at 4040 steeles and they all were ok. But when I went to Amandalinas it was just amazing. The ambience and the store was great. My mommy and I have been watching Say yes to the dress canada religiously and were very excited and hoping to get a similar experience. To our surprise our sales consultant was Rania from the show! My mother was ecstatic since Rania is her favourite consultant on the show. Both my mother and I were completely start struck but Rania was such a sweetheart. She's amazing on tv but in person she is so much more. She's a magic woman. I told her about my dilemma that Im not having much luck finding The Dress. As i described to her what I was looking for, her eyes sparkled more and more. She assured me she had exactly what I was looking for. rest assured, she comes in with 4 amazing dress styles. She's a magic woman. I almost said yes to the first dress she put on me, but she told me to trust her and to try other ones she had brought for me. I trusted her and said yes to the 3rd dress she put on me. Working with Rania was so refreshing. She doesn't make you realize that you're working with a tv celebrity. She even let me take a picture with her. I was too shy to ask for an autograph. Maybe when i go for my fittings. Im surprised to read the other comments but definitely glad I didn't read them before because i may not have gone in to amandalinas. But after being there and experiencing such great service, i highly recommend this store to everybody. And when you go...ask for Rania. She won't disappoint you. I found the other ladies to be so helpful and friendly too. I met Christina from the show also. She was helping another appointment bride. She was so friendly and ran and got kleenex for my family when they were crying their eyes out. I highly recommend this bridal store. Such great boutique, and wonderful Staff. read more

On Saturday, January 14, 2017, I attended my Bridal appointment at Amanda-Lina's Sposa Boutique and I was extremely pleased with the staff who made my Bridal shopping experience one to remember. From the minute I entered the door I was greeted by Erica who was personable and who took an interest in myself, as the bride, and in my family who accompanied me for my visit. While I was trying on dresses Erica offered support and comfort to me as the Bride and had amazing suggestions. She made all of us feel like we were an extension of the Amanda-Lina's family! Erica also took a keen interest in my Bridal dress style and matched me with Dimitra. I can't thank Erica enough for doing so because Dimitra is exceptional! I loved everything about my visit with Dimitra. After a long day of Bridal shopping Dimitra managed to ease my mind by providing me a quiet room, whereby, she was able to talk to me in private about exactly what I wanted. Dimitra provided me with exceptional dress selections and is very knowledgeable about different designers and styles. I appreciated everything about Dimitra, her knowledge, professionalism, her honesty and her energy are by far exceptional and provided me with the best Bridal experience. After a long day of dress shopping Dimitra made me smile, made me feel confident that I would find the best dress for me and made me feel special along the way. Her attention to detail and to my feelings brought a calmness to my Bridal Dress shopping experience. I knew I was in the best hands when I was with Dimitra which made selecting my wedding dress a breeze! Amanda-Lina's Sposa Boutique should be experienced by all Brides! The staff are warm and exceptional, there dresses are stunning and they have a wide selection to choose from and their space is inviting and special! I loved ringing the bell and making everyone know how much I loved my dress and experience at Amanda-Lina's Sposa Boutique! read more

I first learned about Amanda Lina's at a Bridal Show. My sister ended up picking a dress that we both absolutely LOVED. I wasn't prepared to purchase the dress at the trunk show, because I wanted my mom to be a part of the experience - I also thought I'd be able to get the gown virtually anywhere that carried that designer. As it turns out, the only salon in Ontario that carried that particular dress was Amanda Lina's, so I went ahead and made the appointment. Firstly, the salon is absolutely gorgeous. When we got into the store, we had to wait a few minutes until we could check in, but not a big deal. The girl who registered me actually recognized my sister and I from the bridal show. While we waited for our consultant, we were able to look at bridesmaids dresses, and my sister was able to try one on. I feel terrible for not remembering her name, but she was so incredible and helpful! Theresa was my consultant. She sat me down to discuss what I was looking for, and I showed her some pictures. She pulled all of the dresses that I wanted to try, and was absolutely amazing throughout the process. I found out that the original dress that I came to try on again was from 2013 and they were having a lot of difficulty finding it - they had 2 or 3 different people looking for it in storage. I started to put it out of my mind, and when I came out in one of the last dresses, one of the associates was holding the dress! The girl who works at the front desk was looking for it in storage (which apparently contains 700+ dresses in boxes), a box fell and uncovered the dress! I put it on, zipped right up like it was made for me. Theresa put the veil on and it was a done deal. It was totally meant to be! The total experience was one that will be cherished - it was everything I could have hoped for and more! Can't recommend this place enough if you want the whole experience vs. just picking a dress. read more

As a Maid of Honour, I have been very involved in the choosing of my friends dress. We went to several Bridal Stores before finding my friends 'perfect dress' at Amanda-Lina's. The other stores we went to including Kleinfeld's in Toronto had little selection and awful customer service. From the time we started our experience with Amanda-Lina's, we have been extremely impressed with the professionalism of the Consultants and the friendly staff, not only on the Reception Desk but the Alterations Team and the Manager. The one thing we were concerned about was that my friend was advised to buy one size up from what she was, just in case she didn't lose the weight she was hoping for. The Consultant assured us that it could be taken in to whatever size she was but couldn't be let out. Needless to say, my friend did lose a lot of weight and the dress had to be taken in many sizes. The Alteration Team did a wonderful job on a complex dress. Any concerns or questions we have asked have always been answered in a friendly way and everyone has gone out of their way to make The Bride and my experience amazing. I would like to point out that the Manager is really nice and I had a lovely long chat with her. Brides, you must remember that you have to be nice to someone for people to be respectful back and while I have been there I have seen some Bridezillas and the staff have always been kind and courteous to try and make them feel better. My final note is to tell you that I am a very picky person who has no problem in complaining if my service I expect is not up to par and I can assure you that I would whole heartedly recommend Amanda-Lina's. read more

After searching through 10 other bridal boutiques across the city, Amandalina's was the only shop to understand my vision for the perfect gown. Their service was professional, detail-oriented, and personal, and I truly feel like I would not have found the perfect dress for me if not for this store and its staff. At the beginning of my appointment I sat down with my consultant and simply described different details that I knew I wanted or didn't want in a dress. Ten minutes later she came back with exactly what I had envisioned, even though I'd never before seen the dress, or anything like it. My consultant was knowledgable, intuitive, and really listened to what I had to say--an asset that sets this boutique apart, in my experience, and one that shouldn't go without recognition. What is more: after ordering my dress, I had mentioned to the store owner that I would be looking for a very specific kind of jacket to wear over top of my gown during the ceremony. A month later she phoned me, having found a jacket exactly as I had described while she was at a bridal show in New York. I was so impressed that she had filed away my request, and continued to keep me in mind and look for exactly what I was wanting. All this to say, I really feel like Amandalina's cares about making me feel perfect on my wedding day. Visit this boutique if you want a personalized experience, and a bridal consultant that will go the extra mile to find you exactly what you are looking for. read more

My experience with Amanda-Lina's was amazing. I had been to at least 5 other salon's before finding my dream dress here. My consultant Erika was amazing and made me feel like a size 2 instead of the size 18 I really am. Being a plus size in bridal can make your confidence waver a bit but I never felt like a plus size thanks to Erika. They never told me I was to big to try a dress on which I had been told at other salons. It was a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. I ended up losing weight before my first fitting and the dress was way to big but the pros at Amanda Lina's took care of everything and it looked amazing by my second fitting. The top was fully beaded so I was a bit worried but you would never have know it had even been altered in the end. I met one of the owners and she was an absolute delight. You can tell how close the staff are as they appear to be like a family and they pull you into it. I'd like to make a special mention of Joseph. He was wonderful as well and could definitely make any woman fell beautiful. What a joy to have met. Overall I would highly recommend Amanda Lina's to anyone looking for a wedding dress or bridesmaids dress. The staff are professional, friendly and a joy to have work with you. Lynda Myles read more

I would NEVER recommend this shop to anyone! I stopped in to take a look at some dresses that I saw online and was browsing through their dresses. Some bitch worker with the biggest attitude came to tell me I needed an appointment to even look at their wedding dresses. If you're an appointment only shop, either put a sign on your door or put it on the website. Or, here's a thought, when I walk through the door, ask me if I have an appointment. Don't stand there staring at me like an idiot and let me start looking through your racks only to approach me 5 min later and speak to me in that rude, condescending tone as though I'm supposed to read your mind that I needed an appointment. You're an overpriced dress shop in Woodbridge, I'm not beneath you and you don't have to be a bitch to let me know I need an appointment. Her actions alone are reason enough for me to never go back or recommend them. There's a way to approach people with respect and this loser definitely needs a lesson in customer service. Someone should let her know that her customers' money is what pays her bills and she's nothing without them. read more

I bought 2 dresses from Amandalinas this year and I was completely satisfied with my purchase both times. In June I searched all over for a special dress with no success. Either the dress was too expensive, the style was too juvenile or the fit was just not right. Amandalinas was my last stop. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and the quality of the dresses. Rachelle (the owner) helped me and she was incredible. She listened patiently to my dress woes and with a friendly smile on her face pulled out a few styles for me to try on. I have to admit I would not have picked some of the styles she recommended, but she obviously knows what she is doing because she was bang on with her choices. I actually had a hard time picking between 2 dresses. In September, I went straight back to Rachelle (no wasting time again!). Once again she picked out some fabulous dresses. I found the perfect dress at the right price! This store is right in my neighbourhood and I have missed it for years. Thanks for the great service and selection. I will be back when my daughter gets married! read more

This Review is for January 28th 2017, when Naima helped me "Say Yes to the Dress" . I had an AMAZING experience **I only hope the appointments for alterations will go as smoothly. I booked their "VIP" bridal room for a small fee, and believe me I would highly recommend it, its a huge well lit room with mirrors and a pretty big seating area for your entourage to present the variety of dresses to so it's a lot more quite and intimate. So Naima, made it extremely difficult to say "Yes to the Dress" because 4/5 gowns she recommended were BEAUTIFUL and With every gown I tried on I fell more in love with each dress. She helped me, narrow the dresses down to the "one" I wanted to say thank you to Naima, for all her patience and expertise in helping me pick my dress. I told her everything I wanted, my budget and what my vision was and she hit bullseye with ever dress. She made me and my family feel so comfortable, I'm already recommending her to all my engaged friends and cousins!! read more

I had a great time at this store. My sister was looking for a dress and everyone was kind and professional. While yes, I did find that there was some rudeness in the older ladies not speaking English (it was no different than in some stores down town). I had a young girl who was right out of Say Yes To The Dress. My sister tried on more than 5 dresses! And this girl even got my sister to try on dresses she normally wouldn't of tried on! We will be going back in January to get her dress and the bridesmaid dresses and I will be back in a few months to come to get my dress! I felt I needed to respond to all the other reviews as this is not my experience at all. The prices were amazing and very reasonable. I can't comment on alterations because we haven't experienced that part yet but I look forward to when I go for my appointment! Ask for a consultant named Erika. She made our shopping trip a pleasant experience. read more

This past weekend I Said YES to the dress and it could not have been a better experience. This was my first place to look when I was going dress shopping. I went in with the intentions of just looking at the styles and not buying, seeing as my Wedding is in 2020, but due to an unbelievable experience and beautiful dress, I was fortunate enough to buy it the same day. We were first greeted by Rochelle who asked what kind of style and price range I was looking for. Once we had picked all the dresses that I imagined trying on (in my price range) I was escorted to the dressing room with Diana. Everyone was so lovely and extremely patient. When I had booked the appointment, I was told it would be 1 hour but Rochelle, Diana and Scott were so nice and patient, my appointment was 2 hours. I would like to thank Amanda-Lina's for this amazing experience and cannot wait to see the girls again. read more

My first visit here I had a #1 dress but had to keep looking. After visiting a few other stores I came back because my consultant Daniela was fantastic! I knew I needed something different than what I had originally picked so she pulled a dress that was absolutely perfect - and she helped me make it my own with some modifications and a balero jacket. I thought about it and came back a 3rd time with the rest of my entourage for their opinion. By the time I said yes to the dress, Daniela was sitting with my entourage and it felt like she was a part of the group. Her positive, but HONEST energy and enthusiasm was refreshing and super helpful. Ask for her when you go in - you won't be disappointed. The only down side is they don't allow you to take pictures. Other than that, I am very happy with my experience and I can't wait to see my dress again when it comes in!!! read more

I went to many other bridal stores- not once did I feel like a bride. Then I my best friend and I went to Amandalina's, I was set up with Dimitra. She is so lovely and made my entire experience amazing. I explained to her what I had pictured in my head and she chose the dresses. I loved each and everyone she had picked out for me. She listened and was so kind and personable. She truly made me feel like a bride. I went back a week later with my mom and mother in law- making Amandalina's my last stop. Not once did I get a reaction from my mom that told me "this was the dress". After putting on one of my top three choices at Amandalina's- my mom started to cry- and I said yes to the dress! I would definitely make your appointments with Dimitra! There are other ladies in there who are wonderful too. **I wouldn't do alterations thru the company- wasn't impressed!!! read more

My mom purchased her dress 35 years ago from this boutique and its a dream come true that i get to say i have experienced the same impeccable, wonderful customer service. Everything ran incredibly smoothly from start to finish. I received the "say yes to the dress" experience minus the lights and camera. Just goes to show you Sam and Rachelle treat every customer like their family. The staff are all amazing bridal attendants with lots of patience, knowledgeable, attention to detail, great listeners and incredibly helpful in obtaining the vision for your wedding dress or evening wear. The selection is extensive and unlimited like no other. ! I'd give them a 6th star if I could! Picked out the perfect wedding dress in under 90 minutes; they treated my bridal party with the same smooth experience and can't wait for alterations there. thanks again Anna read more

Five stars given, though this is still early in the process. My daughter chose her dress from this place yesterday. I flew to Toronto to help her choose"the dress" from pre-selected finalists. We went to another store prior to Amanda-Lina, and my daughter's heart was with a dress at the first location. I loved a contender from this store. Daniella was a trooper, helping my daughter put on the same dresses multiple times.Daniella looked at pictures of the first dress and asked my daughter what she loved about the first dress, she went and found a dress that we both immediately loved. Ask for Daniella to help you. She never gives up! My daughter got to ring that bell! Shopping there was a great experience. There were three wedding parties looking at dresses at the same time, and we all participated with each other. My daughter loves her dress! read more

Ladies, let me tell you how Amanda-Lina saved me! I was going to Avenue 22 Bridal (on Dufferin and Eglington area) to get fitted for a bridesmaids dress. I gave it 2 chances (making time, driving across the city) where both times the associate was so snooty, impatient, rude, made unflattering comments about my body type that I absolutely REFUSED to make any purchase of contribute to their profits. After searching for a place that actually sold my dress and dealing with Amanda of Amanda-Lina's directly, she replied back to my voicemail almost immediately, walked me through the dress I needed to order, helped me order the dress and when it came time to picking it up, she (and her team) made things quick, easy, and efficient. If you want to be in good hands for your big day, you must come see Amanda. Don't even bother talking to Avenue 22. read more

Amanda Lina's is hands down the epitome of a disastrous shopping experience. The staff there have somehow managed to master the art of rudeness to a degree that's almost impressive, if it wasn't so appalling. It's as if they undergo intensive training in how to make customers feel unwelcome and insignificant. Their attitude is not just bad; it's downright insulting. The way they run their business is a textbook example of how not to do things. It's a chaotic mess from start to finish, with no regard for basic customer service principles. Their lack of professionalism is beyond comprehension; it's like they take pride in pushing people away. Save yourself the trouble and avoid this place like the plague. Trust me, the sheer disgust you'll feel from their sickening lack of care is not worth any potential purchase. read more

What can I say about my experience at Amanda-Lina's? AMAZING experience!! I honestly cannot say enough about my experience. My bridal appointment was on January 26th, 2019. As a plus size bride, I was a little hesitant and nervous with the thought of having to try on dresses. Thinking I would hate everything.......The complete opposite happened. My bridal consultant was Wendy. Words cant express how amazing she was/is. She made me feel comfortable and confident. I only tried on 4 dresses before saying yes to the first ball gown I tried on. It's my dream dress. I cannot wait for my fiancé to see it. I would definitely recommend checking out Amanda-Lina's. **I should also mention my bridesmaids/maid of honor and Mother of the Bride also said yes to their dresses at Amanda-Lina's :):) read more
