Can't say I'm a fan of camping. Last time I went was as a child. Glamping on the other hand was something I was willing to consider. After visiting Amaroo Escape I can definitely say this style of 'camping' suits me perfectly.
Amaroo is absolutely stunning! 3 tents positioned next to the Manning River on a beautiful 450 hectare property with the two most lovely hosts (Jim and Susan) you could ask for.
They really have thought of everything. Generous complimentary breakfast inclusions and bottle of champagne. Big, comfortable bed. Neat as a pin kitchenette. Modern bathroom complete with walk in shower, towel warmer and 2 person claw foot bath. Great sized deck overlooking the river with table and chairs to enjoy your morning tea/coffee, read, bird watch or just relax. Weber Q for all your cooking needs. My husband enjoyed using it.
Once ready to venture out you can gather round the fire pit, take a dip in the river, hike up Heartbreak Hill if your fitness level allows OR take an electric UTV to explore the property, waterholes and stunning views.
With its limited phone service, lack of tv/devices and adults only, 2 person per tent limit, you are sure to find the right balance of peace and adventure for your next anniversary, long weekend or much needed break from the city. Enjoy! read more
