Grabbed a vest off the rack, and went inside... greeted cheerfully by staff. Asked if I wanted to try on vest, so I did. Was surprisingly offered to be shown like 3 different ways to wear it. I was in a hurry so I didn't really get to look around. Traffic was steady with people constantly coming in. Staff were very polite, helpful and engaging. I'm not one to shop much for clothing but I'd come back here if I'm in the area again. Beautiful clothing displays and accessories. I honestly can't wait to get back to take a thorough look.

I tried on a number of things and decided to buy a cami top that had a nice pattern I hadn't seen in mass retail stores. It was $121.50. Much higher than I usually spend for a simple cami (that is not silk), but I decided what the heck, yolo. I did try it on and it fit nice. It had adjustable straps so I figured it's perfect! And was lined, very nice. Good buy. I didn't go to wear the cami until a week or two later. Once i had it on with a nice jacket over top for work I noticed the adjustable straps did not stay put. They expanded by themselves to the point everything was hanging out within minutes. Not a good look for the office. I went back to the store the next day and was told 'oops sorry you're 4 days beyond the 14 day return policy. Giggle giggle, oh sorry.' I get it, how about store credit? The young ladies that day had to call the manager (I guess) who told them no, sorry, no store credit, no refund, no exchanges, nothing! Too bad. A blown $121.50 for a top I will never be able to wear. Not to mention the crappy customer service. I will never shop here again. I really like the owner of the store, a very sweet petite lady with a great eye for fashion. It makes all the difference in the world when the owner is personable and friendly. There's a certain hip macabre undertone to some of the clothes that really fits my sensibilty...most of the clothing is better suited to girls with..less chest...than I have, but I can still walk in and find at least one item that I could saunter out in. I'm a big fan of the print shirts she gets, one in particular with a coil of snakes wrapping around the top gets compliments all the time. If you sign up on her mailing list you get coupons and sales notifications. Its worth a stop, trust me.

But thankfully, Nich has a whole room dedicated to us three-legged creatures. They carry a decent amount of tee-shirts, jeans, and random clothing accessories. I bought a Heavy Rotation tee-shirt with a cool multicolored design on the front, something like a stagecoach being pulled by some insects drawn in scripty lines. A lot of other designs were fun too, if they only fit right (drats!). The store is pretty small, though, and yes ladies -- most if the space is still dedicated to y'all :). Some people might hate how this place carries the same fashion labels as clothing stores in SF, NY, Seattle, etc. Be that as it may, I still like those kinds of clothes, and the buyers at Nich choose a slightly different set of fashions than buyers at other stores. You do get some diversity.
