I have found something cute here a couple times. The price points are a bit more than I typically would pay, but the clothing is unique and not super expensive, especially the items they feature on the sidewalk. While I couldn't necessarily afford the items in the boutique, the ones outside on sale always seem to better suit my budget. The cashier, possibly the owner, he was just great. A small shop with lots of unique, colorful casual clothes. The owner, Jonathon is a former graphic designer, and has used his talents to stock clothing that isn't available in the mall or even at other local boutiques. Lots of 'forgiving' fashion - stretchy clothing that travels well and makes your body look like you've spent hours in the gym. I went with a friend who hates to shop, she bought 3 pairs of pants & 4 tops. Nothing needed a tailor, all fit perfectly at the store and she's wearing all the pieces constantly. Wardrobe by Jeanne's Boutique used to be around the corner on Essex, but it recently relocated to Haverford Ave., the heart of the shopping district in downtown Narberth. I have to say, Wardrobe is a really great boutique. The owner is a really nice, friendly guy who is more than willing to help customers pick out outfits, choose gifts for loves ones, etc. He's also really knowledgeable and can explain where each item comes from. From what I can tell, most of the clothing and accessories the shop sells are from smaller, boutique designers in the USA, which is great if you want to support those sorts of businesses and want to know that your clothing isn't made by sweatshop labor. The clothes at Wardrobe are also adorable. It's a great place to pick up unique, stylish little summer dresses when the weather is warm, and right now, they have some really cute winter coats in the window. Last winter, I got my mom a gorgeous, hand-knitted teal sweater with really unique details from Wardrobe, and it's my mom's favorite item of clothing now. At the time, I was not sure what to buy for my mom, and Wardrobe's owner spent time helping me pick something out. You can't get that sort of service at many places anymore. The only downside to this store is that I'm a grad student, so I can't afford to shop there very often. The prices are pretty much in line with boutiques and are often pretty reasonable for people who have actual jobs (i.e., I picked up a really cute sundress this summer for under $100). But alas, I am poor. For those Yelpers with full-time employment, though, I highly recommend this place. The selection changes often, and the clothes are really high quality. If you are looking for something beautiful that everybody isn't already wearing, go to Wardrobe! The owner hand picks everything that is in his store from the designers. He knows what looks good on women - carefully choosing flattering cuts of fabric that don't draw the attention to our problem areas! You don't have to be a size two to shop in his store. My only word of caution is to go frequently! He buys limited quantities of each piece so if you love something you had better grab it or it WILL sell out! I made a special trip to Wardrobe based on a compliment I gave to an associate. However, the atmosphere was not welcoming and almost hostile. This unacceptable customer service overshadowed the unique offerings. I would not recommend it and will not return. read more

I echo Kelly's comments. The clothes are truly unique. I purchased a dress and coat combo there and have received so many compliments. The owner is incredibly helpful and makes the shopping experience so pleasurable - not pushy at all. There are also some cool pieces for the home too. I find that the quality of the clothing and accessories at the Wardrobe are wonderful. I also purchased some Christmas presents of lovely Italian glassware and vases that were very reasonable and cheap.I will definitely come back again to get clothes. I agree with prior reviewers. Jonathan is a dear person, He has created a boutique that has unique, reasonably priced clothes that are suitable for mature women and well as younger professionals. He is also a good advisor who doesn't hesitate to say, in the nicest way, "that really doesn't work well." This is always my first go to place for both casual as well as working clothes and my sense is that Jonathan has a loyal following. Finally, his costume jewelry is so great.
