I have Metlife Dental insurance through my employer,…read more Recently I logged into the Metlife portal to check the in-network providers in my area, it showed one Doctor name in-network so I visited that hospital to get the dental treatment. When the hospital submitted the claim, Met-life processed the claim in out of network mode and charged me. I called up customer service to check on my claim, they said that Doctor is out-of network. We visited the hospital due to your portal information,don't you guys maintain up-to-date information on network providers. If your portal & customer support has different information on network providers details, how we will know that which is correct & which provider to visit.Since we are paying the premium every month, we trust your portal information but this is not the way you mess up with the claim.

I have wasted hours dealing with offshore teams who give me the runaround while MetLife avoids paying for medically necessary work. The only positive part of my tenure with them was the day I canceled. Their business model is clearly built on "Paperwork Fatigue"--making the process so difficult that you'll eventually stop asking for your own money. Do yourself a favor: find an insurer that values its clients and actually honors its policies.
