We stopped by this fun maze during our Navy Pier visit, even though it wasn't originally on our list. The colorful lights at the entrance caught my son's attention, and he really wanted to check it out, so we went in. The mini 3D maze was fun, while the rest was more of a simple walk-through. It's not very big, but still enjoyable, could use some updates to feel more engaging. There are a few small jump scares that might surprise little kids, but nothing too scary. We had lots of laughs and fun at this Maze. We even shed a few tears in the mirror room, it was no joke very hard for us to find the door to let us out. After escaping the mirror room, we were then to walk through several different themed areas. There was a clown room form what I can recall and that terrified me.... Overall, we had a lot of fun but the price point is pretty high. If it hadn't been for the mirror room, we would've walked through this in less then 10 minutes. read more

While walking around Navy Pier we stumbled upon Amazing Chicago's Funhouse Maze so we had to check it out. Boyfriend and I purchased the Value Pass for $10.99/each, this includes entry into the maze, a game of Atomic Rush and a game of Time Freak. The Maze: the mirror portion was my favorite to figure out, I am not going to give away any secrets though! Walking on the bridge in the tunnel made me feel like I was turning sideways. Time Freak: you battle another person by running around in separated rooms and hitting the button that lights up, I beat boyfriend.. Victorious! Atomic Rush: you are in the same room, you both choose a color and you run around hitting that color when it lights up. Once again, I won. All I do is win, win, win no matter what! It was definitely fun to try but I would not purchase an All Day Pass here. read more

The only reason I'm giving 3/5 stars is because the price is too high for the length of the maze. However, I did have a great time in it! We definitely got lost and felt like idiots several times, but it was all in good fun. The 3D effects are what really made the difference. I'm not a fan of the expensive price to go in a maze but in this maze you learn so much history,have a great laugh or two with the gags throughout the maze, get lost and maybe vomit too when you get towards the end of the maze. I thought this looked like fun, so I purchased a Groupon for 2. The maze itself was pretty decent (if you can get past the kids running around like loons with no parental supervision) and there were a lot if fun facts about Chicago posted throughout the maze. We got through the maze in no time (4 adults, 15-20 minutes tops), so I wished it were a tad bit longer. There are some fun arcade games available as well, depending on which ticket you buy. Our Groupon included two games per person as well, so we tested them out. Recommend this activity for the young and old, but definitely search for a coupon discount or Groupon. read more

We visited during the holiday season and the "holly-maze" description online sounded fun. It was supposed to have elements of Elf, Home Alone, and Nightmare Before Christmas (but they couldn't say the names). The reality was almost comically terrible. Everyone made it through the maze in about 5 minutes and other than a few "holly-maze" stickers on the wall, there was nothing holiday-themed and certainly not what was advertised. It would've been overpriced at $5, but at $15 per person, it was outrageously priced. Save your money and skip the maze. read more

We went here because we were already at the Navy Pier and wanted things to do. We purchased a groupon prior to "paying" for our ticket outside. We got two tickets to the maze and two tickets to the mind freak game for $12. The maze itself was only challenging through the mirrors. We just could not figure the way out, neither could many of the other kids / adults there. There were a few kids crying because it was frustrating. The big downside was that the maze did get crowded, and when too many people are in the maze at one time makes it less enjoyable. You can't really trick yourself if you essentially follow the herd in front of you. So we found our way to the beginning, and waited for others to pass by us before we tried to do it ourselves. Once past the mirrors, the rest of the maze was different, but without challenge. The highlight of the event was the mind freak game that we played after we exited the maze. It's a light button "whack a mole" in a box. The challenge is you need to hit the buttons when it lights up to gain the most points against your opposing side. This is what made it fun because you wanted to win. It was a good workout. Overall for $12 for two people this was a great deal. If we paid full price, this probably would not have been worth it for us as adults. read more

I came here today and a wonderful young lady named Hope help us all day, even helped with my 4 year old niece when all of us adults was tired. She was so upbeat and truly gave top customer service. We did all 3 attractions and had a blast. My neice is 4 and had the time of her life she didn't want to leave and she absolutely loved Hope. I would recommend doing the all day pass. I didn't originally think it would be very hard to navigate through, but my boyfriend and I ended up getting stuck for some time in the maze of mirrors. We didn't take too much time to go through after making it through that section, and I would say the whole thing probably lasted us no more than 30 minutes. Average price: $12 Please, please just be young when you go in here. Even young at heart. My god, the stupid trick to that mirror maze. Frustrating as it took us stupid long to exit. We felt very shamed as adults. Since we made the trek to Navy Pier, and there's really not all that much to do there, the Funhouse Maze was a nice option. The bridge with the spinning wall was the next best thing. What was more fun were the games at the end: Mind Freak and Time Warp. I love the Amazing Funhouse Maze! As a Chicago native, I feel like this is the only reason to visit Navy Pier. I went here in December and the guy working there (Jeremy) was super nice. We also got tickets for the Time Warp game and it was super fun! Be sure not to take children that are really young (6 and under) as they tend to be carried out crying by parents. read more

Great for kids but lame for adults. Thought it was going to be like an actual maze but it's more like a few rooms with strobe lights and noise makers. You can finish this place within six minutes. I think it is worth visiting at least once. There is a mirror room that we truly enjoyed in a company of six. The darkness and blinking light make it actually quite confusing. Then there is some bridge, it does not move but because the ceiling and walls move you have a feeling that you will fall now, it is quite unusual. Throughout the journey you need to crack a code to get a secret word. I was a bit disappointed that there is no actual prize at the end just fake golden coins, but kids totally loved it! read more

I purchased a groupon for this and was worried the kids would be to old for it. We ended up having a blast. The maze part with the lights was a ton of fun. My husband and I were laughing and running around like little kids. It took us a while to figure out the exit and not sure if we would have been able to if we did not see another family exit it. The inside part is really out dated. The frames and pics screwed to the walls need to be replaced. It is 2014. Time to revamp the place. The lights inside are old and do not give off much of a effect. Especially since you are located in the biggest tourist spot in Chicago. The attendant recommended no children under 8 in the maze even though the website and signage states 5 and under. I didn't take his advice, and bought passes for my 3 kids 11 and under. They did fine, but I think it just really depends on your child. My son was a little scared and took some coaxing to finally make it through. The games are fun and easy to play for any school-ager. They let my 3 year old go with my older 3 kids in the games for free. Good service from all employees. read more

We had some free tickets for this attraction at Navy Pier. I was so glad it was free, it cost $8.95 for you to go through the maze once. It was a snore, nothing that you probably haven't see already and before you know it, you open a door to go to what you think is the next part of the maze funhouse and it is the exit. Save your money, for $3 more you can go to the kids museum and spend hours there and have a fun time. read more

We did the maze, time freak, and atomic rush. The time freak and atomic rush games are fun if you're an adult feeling a little competitive (or a child), and the mirror maze and spinning tunnel were the best part of the fun house.
