I wish I could give a better review but this is honestly the worst massage experience I've ever had. I go to get massages to relax and unwind, this was anything but relaxing, but out of respect I didn't walk out, also because I was hoping it would get better but it never did. I called around 5:30 to see if they have appointments available, they said they're free now but I asked if possible in about an hour to which the lady said of course, we'll see you at 6:30. We walked in and we're greeted with a smile, confirmed we wanted the 1 hour foot massage, and the two ladies quickly got us situated. Within a few minutes the chit chat started and lasted almost the entire time. Some of the time it was at a whisper, some at full volume, they spoke in their language and giggled and one time one of the ladies made a phone call walking away from doing the massage. I understand attending quickly to customers that walk in or call, which happened a couple times and that was fine, but this was way beyond that. The two stars are for the semi-decent foot massage, and that is being generous. The more positive reviews for this place must have had other masseuses than we had. Since this was an hour foot massage, there was also a short neck and head massage, hand and shoulder massage and back massage. When it came to the back massage it became obvious that the lady that was doing mine had no training. She massaged over my spine, poked me like I was dough, and her movements were rough and quick. After we walked out we confirmed that both of us had the same experience. Even though we paid them their "expected" tip of 20% and thanked them kindly, unfortunately we will not be returning. Always used to come here and the massage was great. Although the last time I came in, a few days ago, the massage was okay. I kindly asked to have more pressure and they continued to lightly pat my back and legs. Once finished, I was asked to leave a larger tip after giving a decent amount for what I received. I told the woman that I did not get what I had asked for, but I continued to get scolded by her as she pointed to a handwritten sign of the expected tip amount. We were placed in a room together for a one hour couples massage. Kevin was my masseuse and he knew what he was doing. He treated my trouble spots and I could feel the difference when I walked out. On my way home from work in Monterey I stopped by at this place to get a massage. Many many things were just RED FLAGS ... WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. 1. Upon getting there they force you to pay upfront. Why ? That's unheard of. 3. On the phone she asked if I want strong massage I said yes. She said $90 for 90 min. Then she charged $100. I asked why she said Strong massage $10 extra. Almost bait and switch. 3. Got me in the room and I had to wait almost 10 min before she came in. 4. She leaves the room for over 5 min to answer the phone talking in Asian language. I had to say "Hello" then she comes back saying sorry give you 5 min more. 5. After that she leave 3 more times to pick up the phone. Clearly the guy sitting in the front doesn't speak English. 6. Now foe the quality of the massage oh boy Par at best. I had to say 3 times this is not strong at all. 7. At the end I give her 10% tip and she gets mad and argues that I have to give her 20% minimum tip no matter what. 8. I explain you left the room 5 times. Answered calls. Yr massage wasn't strong at all. She replied "well you still got yr 90 min so pay me 30%. 9. Completely unprofessional people. Right now you need to get an appointment. The first time I went in the guy at the door said come back tomorrow. Came back the next day and they said did you have an appointment? I said no and had to make one for the next day; third times a charm. The lady that gave the massage was a little rough on my upper back but all in all I felt better after the massage. We have been here before multiple times and there hadn't been any problems. Today after the massage, I tipped my masseuse and my mom tipped hers. The lady at the front desk demanded my mom tip her masseuse more! She hadn't even been our masseuse! When I asked why she should tip more, she said "body massage 20 percent." Puzzle, I asked "where does it say that? And why does she have to tip more?" She said "you tip $10, she only tip $5." I said yes, that's what she wants to tip. Then she got upset and when my mom hands her the stamp card they gave us, she refused to stamp it !! Lol Yea, we aren't coming back. We loved the convenience of not having to make an appointment with a massage therapist, but it looks like we might have to do that instead. So I took my Mama here to kick off Mothers Day Weekend we got 1/2 hour full body massages. My lady (the one who spoke more English than the other) asked me if I wanted soft or hard pressure, they start with giving a massage through a thin blanket than move to oil massage, than onto hot stone. The thing that got me is when she pulled my pants down and started massaging my butt! At one point she was sitting on top of my legs! I know I said hard pressure but the bony elbows in the back over & over took my breath away. I have always been very picky about massages. I have chronic pain issues as I have had over a dozen surgeries which include various joint replacements throughout my body. At the time I went in for my massage my neck/shoulder was in excruciating pain to the point it was near impossible to turn my head. I walked in with no appointment and she took me immediately. I paid for a 30 min body massage, but by the end of my time I extended it another 30 minutes and added a body scrub. This tiny women was quite powerful with her hands delivering an extremely strong deep tissue massage working out all the knots. I didn't even have to tell her where the knots were. She knew exactly where to go. My only regret is I don't live in Los Baños to get these massages. However when I come back to visit my mom again I am 100% positive to come back everyday I'm there. Okay, so the Mrs. really wanted a massage, and we checked out the local parlors on Yelp. This one had a really interesting assortment of very high and very low reviews, so we decided to see which ones were true. We're happy to say that the good reviews were true! This place was magical. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and did everything to make sure that my wife got a great deep tissue and foot massage. They also recommended a back scrub, which she enjoyed a great deal. I'm not partial to massages myself, but the gentle music and serene waiting area were great for working on my iPad while I waited. So what about those negative reviews? Most of them complained about two things: odor and tipping. My wife and I didn't notice any unpleasant odors while we were there; the whole shop seemed very clean and pleasant to us. As for the tipping, we figured from the discussions here that the staff expected a tip of $20. Americans are notoriously bad tippers, and I can see that someone might get upset if they felt that the amount of the tip should be up to them. But if you go in knowing what the staff expects and you feel that you have received good value for your money, it shouldn't be an issue. We recommend Amazing Massage without hesitation! read more

First of all the place smelled like rotten cabbage, but I was in desperate need of a massage so I was able to get over it. After I requested a specific massage the lady tried to upsale me to a more expensive massage. The massage was interpreted a few times by customers coming in shop to get a massage and by the phone ringing. I didn't have a problem with the interruptions until she handed me the phone to talk a customer. The pressure was way too hard and I was clearly uncomfortable and she apologized but continued the extreme pressure. At one point I thought to myself, "this is what it must feel like to be strangled". As I was practically running out of there she said I needed to tip her.
