I've used MJ Tax & Consulting for two years in a row now and May has been a pleasure to work with. Everything can be done via email and a convenient online portal for keeping all your docs and records. May took me every step of the way, answering all my questions (via email because that was easiest for me) and helping me know which tax docs were necessary. Her fee was totally reasonable ($150) and she filed the returns for me (and got me a pretty penny back!). Besides that, I wanted some financial advice when it came to stocks and tax implications of selling them or holding them. For that, she scheduled me in for an in-person meeting and was really helpful with advice and knowledge on my specific questions. I paid her separately for consulting, but the rate was reasonable for piece of mind. Overall, I'd highly recommend this company. And I have! I've sent quite a few friends their way, and they've been happy with the services.

He filed my taxes incorrectly, and when we…read moreconfronted him about it, he told us that he did everything right, and that he will charge us again to amend our taxes. He informed us AFTER the fact about something that would have made our taxes correct, and when we asked why we weren't told about it when initially filing, he told us that we didn't ask. How am I supposed to ask about something that I don't know exists? It was highly unprofessional. I'm waiting to hear back from his direct supervisor. I will update this review as soon as I am contacted. UPDATE 4/10/2017: I spoke with a lovely woman, whose name I think is DeDe, who followed up with me multiple times when the district manager, Orlando, couldn't be bothered to return a single call, or make the effort to call me after receiving an email regarding my situation. I just received a piece of mail from the IRS saying that my return had errors on it. I do not recommend Jackson Hewitt services.
