Scotlands largest indoor rainforest attraction is possibly the only one as well. It's a bit of a let down, at the price. Should it be bundled into the price of a wristband at M and D's or be part of a school trip or that, it wouldn't be so bad. There are some cool animals in here, that you won't find elsewhere, I agree, but the selection is not huge and there's not much in there to keep you for longer than 30 minutes. Good enough to keep the bairns happy. read more

Took the wee fella there on his birthday...wasnt the biggest of places, but he loved it. Would recommend it for a visit with little ones, but its no all-day visit. read more
I found myself in Amazonia on a boring sunny Summer's day in Motherwell. Myself and a few of my pals decided to 'do something' and coming to Strathclyde Park is the only thing to do when it is sunny. Amazonia is in the theme park area of the Park. It's 5.25 to get into this little tropical rainforest, which is quite steep if there are a few of you. It's also quite steep when you realise it isn't exactly packed to the rafters with amazonian critters. There are spiders, ants, bats, frogs, reptiles and fish. Wowsa. But the best things are the cute little monkeys, which i'm surprised haven't been robbed yet. It's ok, nothing to rave about, but worth a once only visit with kids. read more
