We made an appointment ahead of time and arrived near the embassy about 45 minutes early. They make you wait across the street until about 15 minutes ahead. Note: they do not let you bring food or bottled water through security. If you (as a tourist) are carrying this, leave it at the hotel when you go to the embassy. We got through security and were directed into the main lobby. We dealt with one of 2 ladies assisting citizens with issues. She was very nice and professional. We had to fill out the passport form on one of the ~ 4 in-lobby terminals, but they had a printer so we were still okay. We then had to queue up in a sort of take-a-number / DMV scenario in a secondary room nearby. We were soon at the window. The lady there was also polite. It turned out that since this wasn't a 'need it today' emergency, we had to reschedule an embassy visit for another city later on. However, I didn't hold that against the personnel who helped us. Compared to expectations, I was very pleasantly surprised that we were on-site for less than 30 minutes, total. People there had answers / explanations and we made as much progress as rules allowed. I am only deducting one point from the rating based on the advice / recommendations provided by the website. It appeared adamant that we could not use 'photo booth' photos for a passport. However, these booths were ubiquitous in Parisian subway stations, and they all advertised that they were valid for official IDs... We chanced it, and brought the photos along; they were fine. The kicker was that the embassy had one of the same photo booths *in their lobby!* If you have one on-site, please don't post info on your website telling me not to use THE SAME MACHINE beforehand... I hope anyone reading this has as decent an experience at the embassy as we did.

The person who answered the phone said "how would I know?" when I asked what I should do and told me that they could only help me if I needed to get into the united states. Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't the point of a (US) embassy to help citizens who are abroad, not necessarily only trying to enter the US???? Ended up buying a 270$ train ticket to come back to paris and get my passport but very unhappy with the embassy's response.

They gave a complimentary bottle of wine, and have a paid mini bar. Of course WiFi is included but could barely get it to work. The room was very traditional to the time period of the building. The beds were nice, but the pillows are a little small. It was a nice table and chair with a desk and chair and plenty of storage for clothes. The bathroom was very large with a tub and shower, a little stool, and towel warmers on the wall. There was lots of little extras that came along in the bathroom and with the coffee/tea station. Luckily, we used our points because the price per night was 475.

They went out of their way to run after us on a rainy morning to provide an umbrella, and to walk down the street with us another time to show us a restaurant location. The rooms could use some updating but had everything we needed and were comfortable. The hotel itself is very charming. I stayed for only 2 days but would absolutely return.

I would never stay at this hotel again…read more Upon check-in on our first night, we were given a room on the first floor. After dropping off our luggage, we went out for dinner. We were extremely tired from our nearly 9-hour flight from Los Angeles to Paris and returned around 10:00 PM to our hotel . As soon as we entered the room, my 5-year-old daughter screamed--there was a cockroach on the bed. I immediately went to the front desk. Someone came to the room, removed the cockroach, and changed the top sheet. I then asked the receptionist if we could switch rooms because my daughter was terrified. She said the only available room was a suite and that we'd have to pay extra. I agreed and we moved. Unfortunately, the new room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke--even though the hotel claims to be "smoke-free." My 8-year-old son has asthma and could hardly breathe. None of us could. It was an awful first night. In the morning, when my wife went to take a shower, she found hair on one of the towels. It was clear the room had not been cleaned properly. I was incredibly frustrated. We had spent a lot of money on this trip and hoped for a relaxing, enjoyable experience. This hotel completely ruined the start of our vacation. When I asked to speak to a manager, I had to wait 30 minutes. The manager, whose name I believe was Marie-Anne, was rude, unprofessional, and completely lacking in customer service. The only compensation she offered was one free breakfast--which I declined. We stayed for three nights, and sadly, not a single moment at this hotel was pleasant. I will never return, and I strongly advise others to stay away.

The attitude of the counter staff was also very bad and they were very relaxed compared to how angry I was and treated me like I was the problem. This is a hotel | will never stay in again. I hope no one reads my review and wastes their money. Worse.
