We chose Hôtel Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel mainly because of its perfect location. It is just a five-minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and good food, which made exploring so much easier. At first, we thought we'd have a full view of the Eiffel Tower from our room, but it ended up being more of a 3/4 view. Even so, the view was still stunning and beautifully framed from the window. The room was cozy and comfortable, a nice little retreat after busy days of sightseeing. The bathroom was a good size, which added to the overall comfort. Since this is a large hotel, it had a more lively, energetic vibe rather than the boutique feel we've enjoyed in smaller places, but the views made up for it. The staff was generally friendly and helpful, though at times they seemed a bit overwhelmed or understaffed, which sometimes affected the level of assistance. read more

Best thing about this hotel hands down is the location to the Eiffel Tower! Other than that it's sort of a mess. The rooms are extremely tiny and the beds are hard as a rock! I know in Europe the mattress standards are not always the same as the US but this mattress was just plain inexcusable. I had trouble sleeping due to the lack of comfort I was experiencing. Another issue here were the bathrooms. The separation of the toilet and shower seemed great at first but proved annoying as time went on. Elevators are also painfully slow. I did not really interact too much with staff so I cannot comment fully. I will say the breakfast was excellent! Full of flavor and lots of great options! Stay here if you want to be close to the Eiffel Tower BUT know that you are in for a bit of a ride. read more

Great location if you are craving to stay by the Eiffel Tower, but otherwise mediocre. Elevators require you to enter the floor before taking it (no buttons inside), and the touch screen often malfunctions. Rooms are very strange. No desks of any kind. No seat except for a tiny bench. If you need to work on your computer, this is not the hotel for you. Very strange cabinet for the clothes - it is toll but split in a middle, with not enough space in either half - you can't even hang shirts normally. Everything is very cheap in the room. There is a tea kettle, but there are only tiny paper cups, really not suitable for anything - had to bring mug to my room from the breakfast area. Shower is very primitive, very difficult to direct stream to where you want it. The room was cleaned every day, but I'm not sure what that cleaning includes. The bed was made nicely, however, I had a few breadcrumbs on the floor after the first day, and those breadcrumbs stayed in their spots for the whole duration of stay. I guess vacuum is not included. Overall, doesn't really worth the prices. read more

Yes, it is next to the tower, but it's crowded and it's very easy to reach from any place in Paris. Amazing location within view of the Eiffel Tower. We got it for a great rate. Saw the tower as soon as we stepped outside, and we were able to admire it at both day and night and see it glittering multiple times. Easy to access the metro from. Service was great, as the front desk staff was always accommodating. Room was small and a little old, nothing fancy, but it was definitely worth it to be so close to the tower. If you're super picky and precious about hotels maybe keep looking, but if for the price the location was amazing. I've paid far more for far less in the US. Nice quaint and affordable hotel within quick walking distance to Eiffel Tower. Don't expect a really nice room for the price you're paying. It was clean. We booked the room with view of the tower and with breakfast. For the price and the services, it's a 4 for me. The only reason one less star is because the towels in the bathroom are very thin and cotton material is pretty hard. I suggest you bring your own bath towels. The hotel is conveniently located close to two metro stations (green and yellow line), not to mention being a stone throw away from the Eiffel Tower. Rooms are of decent size, but toilet and shower are in separate rooms (including sink) which is not very convenient in my opinion. Sadly our room didn't have Eiffel Tower view. At night it was quiet - which is probably the advantage of not facing the 'touristy' side. Breakfast if plentiful, although could do with more coffee machines, as more often than not we had to queue for hot drinks. read more

We a tayed at the hotel next door and it was Bastille Day in Paris so roads were closed to traffic, including foot traffic, no options for food and drink in the area. The area was insane. We were lucky to have happened upon the Mirlot bar on the ground floor of Mercure ... Hugo (and the second guy working the bar) were fantastic. They were sooooo busy but they hustled and did their very best to help every customer to the best of their ability. I'm more concerned about the management or whoever makes the schedule for staffing, knowing that it was Bastille Day I would've thought they would have staffed up but these two guys, worked the whole bar by themselves, they did a great job. Most of the customers were patient and understanding, but unfortunately there were a couple who were a little rude to them ... they also handled that pressure well. They should be acknowledged for their patients, professionalism, and good service. read more

First, I'd like to thank Maggie C (straight outta LA) for the heads up about this hotel. And although I noted similar quirks and areas for improvement, I think one factor made this a 4 star review. And that is - location, location, location!! Do you want to walk over to the Eiffel Tower, first thing in the morning?? Do you want to swing by after lunch?? Do you want to come by at night and watch it sparkle?? Why not - because it's about a 6 minute walk from the hotel. Aside from the proximity, the service was attentive and friendly. The breakfasts had a nice variety and Security was very much present, especially at night. The room was an ok size and no complaints about the workout room either. The hotel was also close to main streets and restaurants and two Big Bus stops - now that's convenience!! Because of its central location, it was easy to stop by mid-day and drop off your souvenirs and take another shower, which is refreshing during the summer. Having spent time in the Philippines, mid-day showers are quite common and became a habit for me. I would definitely stay here again. read more

Read before you book! Recently there has been a string of hotel rats who book rooms under fake names and go around to rob hotel guests while they are away for the day or whether you're in your room! Google Paris hotel rats for news articles on this. Why does this matter? Because it happened to us at this hotel! This hotel also has a safety issue big time as you do not need a key card to go up the elevator. You press the floor you want and the screen directs you to elevator to go upstairs. Security is hit or miss downstairs but even then anybody can pretend to be a guest and come on upstairs! We checked in early Monday August 13th around 2pm and our room was ready. Around 7pm at night, someone with a keycard beeped into our room!!!!! Luckily the chain was on but the bottom lock was not on. The door got caught on the lock so I said HELLO?! I peeked out the door hole and saw a lady with a hotel maid uniform on. She spoke something that I couldn't hear and she was so insistent on coming in! Then she finally gave up and closed our door. This was definitely a break in and a robbery attempt. There is no way housekeeping is operating at 7pm at night when the room is booked and checked in already! And for her to have a keycard to my room? That is beyond creepy and scary! At around 11pm, there was a knock on our door. I was in bed already. Maybe it was her or someone else coming back to rob us! The phone also rang around the same time which is strange. Nobody should be knocking or calling at close to midnight! These are attempts to see if you are out late or if you are in your room! On August 16, at around 11pm I was asleep already but my husband was up. Through his headphones, he heard someone attempting to open our door again!!!!!!! Luckily this time both the chain and bottom lock was on. He heard the beep and someone trying to open our door loudly and then gave up and walk away. We were terrified for our safety after that! Wide eyed and couldn't sleep we googled everything we can regarding hotel safety in Paris and that's when we came across articles on Paris Hotel Rats. Besides the safety issue is the biggest concern for this hotel, the moment I got my room it gave me the creeps! It felt old, dirty with a weird smell. The hallways always smell moldy and like plastic gummy bears. It's hard to describe it but this hotel is definitely NOT clean. The photos looked amazing when I booked it with good reviews on Expedia but was fooled! Expedia said this was a 4 Star Hotel bit it's more of a 1 Star Hotel. Here are some disgusting things in our room on the 4th floor: abestos walls, cracked walls and baseboards, rusted door hinges, no shower doors or curtains, old carpets, smelly room, big stain in refrigerator, stained walls from who knows what by the mirror, rip on the leather seat, hair everywhere including the ceiling of the shower, smelly toilet, etc. I can go on and on with just presentation and basic housekeeping which everything lacks! BLOOD STAINED towels!!! See attached photo. These things show how OLD and worn this hotel is and needs a definite face lift. AC in our room is not strong enough either so felt like the air was trapped in and not circulating well. Window does open wide but Paris is full of bees so you don't want those in! Booked a King bed but it was actually 2 twin beds pushed together! Super Lame. Pillow as flat as a piece of paper! I had to blow up my travel Pillow to put it under the hotel pillow for some definition. Bed is so soft it sinks in and hurts your back and neck with no support. The WORST part besides safety is that there was NO amenities at all. No shampoo, conditioner or body lotion at all. That is just basic for any hotel!!! Are you kidding me? This is a $200+ a night hotel and you can't even provide the necessity that every single hotel provides!!!!!! Since I didn't see any amenities I called downstairs and they told me there is a green bottle in the shower wall that's a body wash and shampoo in one. Indeed there is! It's basically a watered down gel that's neither body wash nor shampoo. Gross. Shampoo and body wash are two different things!! I felt dirty all the time after the shower because no matter how much I used, it's not enough! My room had no eiffle tower view for over $200+ a night, just a side view of several other hotels surrounding us. The only eiffle tower view I had was the one painted on the wall above our twin beds. For a hotel in the heart of downtown and Eiffle Tower, this is so sad, disgusting and gross. Majorly disappointed in every aspect and I can honestly say this this the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. read more

Great value, service, and location 'Ello chaps! Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel is located just steps from Eiffel Tower, making it easily accessible to some of Paris' most famous attractions. We had a late check in, but staff was ready for our arrival, friendly, and always helpful in answering tourist questions. The hotel itself is pretty standard by European standards - mean you can get two full beds together as a large bed, or separated in the room. By European standards the rooms are of fair size, and were clean and comfortable. Despite it's proximity to Eiffel Tower, don't expect every room to have a room of the Eiffel Tower. But, that's ok. TIP: There are multiple train stations located near the hotel, which one you use depends on where it is you're coming or going. We used RER B train from Charles De Gaulle Airport, which dropped us off at Bir Hakeim station. At this point, you'll likely wrap around the corner, past the Australian Embassy, and down the road - coming into the lobby from the back side. I bring this up because out of quick habit, the next morning we went out the same way to get to Eiffel Tower --- only to later learn that had we gone through a separate front entrance of the hotel - we would have cut our walk to the Eiffel Tower in half. OVERALL: I give Mercure Hotel FOUR Cheers out of Five. It's a great value hotel with clean rooms, friendly service, and an excellent location. read more

Efficiency to service or maintenance requests are very poor. Had to call, on average, 3 or more times, to actually get something addressed or fixed. Very frustrating and time consuming. Takes hours and shouldn't be more than 15-20 minutes at most. Rooms are small with very limited amenities. No shampoo/conditioner, no body lotion, shower cap, irons/ironing boards, no electric outlet in bathroom except for ancient shaver outlet, which is useless for other appliances. Quite common in older hotels but this is a modern hotel. Only things supplied are bath gel, bar soap and tissue. Any cups are very small paper or plastic. No English subtitle options on any TV channels, so all you'll ever have to watch is news and you have to ask where they are hidden. It won't appear when scrolling through channels. At least two movie/ entertainment channels would be appropriate since many regular guests are from English speaking countries. read more

We enjoyed how close it was to the Eiffel Tower and morning breakfast that's offered. Food at breakfast was very tasty and fresh made. Staff was always very helpful and friendly. Location is awesome. Breakfast is good. AC not good. Was here end of May and was told that due to regulations, only heat and regular air available regardless of how hot the temperature gets outside. We're back early June and the situation has not changed and it is 80 degrees outside today and it is still the same hot mess in the room. You can feel some air from the vent but seems like the hotel have minimized the vent hole so barely any air comes out. It's going to be another sleepless night. read more

I just couldn't justify spending money on a 5 Star hotel, even on my honeymoon, so my wife and I got a room at the Mercure - Tour de Eiffel because it was middle of the road in terms of price, and we got a decent boutique hotel with a staff that spoke english (This proved to be pretty helpful). The best part of the hotel is: You get an AWESOME view of the Eiffel Tower when you come out of the hotel every morning. As for the accommadations...the room we got was clean on the most part. The rooms were always cleaned up by room service, but the carpet in the room was not refereshed often, and therefore, was dirty. If you wore white socks in the room, it would get dirty fairly quick. The bathroom was nice. You get a seperate toilet room, and you get a sink area right next to the shower, which looks like it was made for a midget. Mind you, I'm a 6' guy, and I had to shower kneeling down. I have a fear of places with roaches, and I found one in our room. Usually, that's not a good sign in a hotel. Other than a couple of the negatives in the room, the bed was comfortable, you get a LCD flat panel TV, luggage rack, plenty of stoarge space in the closet for your clothing. There is a bar area with a side area with computer terminals for you to be able to use the internet. They do provide free wifi in the room, but it's nothing to write home about. In the lobby area, there is a small snack store run by the front desk. The snacks there are pretty expensive, so it's best to go to the neighborhood Fran Prix, and you'll save some euros. They do have room service, but again, pricey for what it is, so we ate at the local neighborhood bistros and restuarants. It's the beauty of being in Paris. Just walk around and get lost. I'm not a fan of this hotel. The last time I was here the bed was literally too short for the length of my body. I had to sleep diagonally on the bed so that my legs would not dangle off the edge. And of course, they would not change my room so that I could actually sleep on a bed designed for my height, 5'9". What about men over 6'??? The rooms are a bit run down. It's definitely time for a renovation. I've been staying here for the last 6 years due to my job, but if I had a say in it, I would be as far away from this place as possible. It is located in a great location if you're looking to be a true blue tourist. The Le Tour Eiffel is only a few blocks away and the Bir Hakeim metro station is also very close and will connect you with all parts of the city. I'd suggest continuing your search, as you are bound to find a better deal on better accommodations than what this hotel has to offer...which isn't much at all. read more

My first time to Paris October 2022 and I stayed at Mercure Tour Eiffel Suffren. The second night out of a four night stay is when my trip took a nose dive for the worst. I was awaken out of my sleep at 6am from irritation on my arms and legs. I turned the room light on & looked in the mirror I could see that my arms, legs and neck were red & swollen. I pulled back the covers on the bed and I spotted a Bed Bug. I took pictures and video of the Bed Bug that I could physically see due to the white linens on the bed. So that I can show the manager what had occurred in my room. Where there is one Bed Bug means that they are others as well. Needless to say I had to wash everything in my luggage bags at a laundromat that I had to walk to with the manager because the hotel didn't have a laundry facility on site per the manager. I had to get medication for the irritation from the bites. I had to buy a new luggage bag because the wheel broke on the way back from laundromat and I believe that it might have be compromised being in the room. Needless to say I was emotionally & physically scarred from this experience. The location to the Eiffel Tower is the only good thing about this hotel. However that is not worth the horrific experience I had at this hotel. During the remaining two days of my trip I was pissed off uncomfortable and battling irritation from this Bed Bug attack. Which has now turned into to scars as I am still recovering and healing from it. I definitely need a do over in Paris to erase this horrible experience. read more

We waited about an hour and a half to receive our room keys and to actually get settled in our room, a bit of a downer. Then when I got into the hotel room, the first thing I wanted to do was check out the view. I was expecting a view of the eiffel tower, but instead it was just another narrow street and various buildings. If you took a picture of this view, no one could possibly guess that you stayed right next to one of the most famous monuments in the world, the Eiffel Tower. However, I absolutely loved staying in this hotel. The location was absolutely fantastic, just a 5 minute walk to the Eiffel Tour. They have free wifi, free gym access, and comfy beds haha. One of my favorite things about staying at hotel was being able to enjoy a regular daily workout on the top floor of the hotel and have the Eiffel tower as your view, it was absolutely amazing. It was one of the coolest workouts I ever experienced, haha. The rooms were a decent size; I loved the decoration in the room and the lighting fixtures by the head of the board. I did not like the fact that the toilet and shower/sink area were separated, although, most hotels I've stayed at in Europe were simliar. For breakfast, it was a breakfast buffet. With my cliche idea that Paris would be one of the most amazing cities in the world, one filled with amazing baguettes and small portions, the breakfast buffet degraded that idea. The buffet was very limited compared to my other hotels I've stayed at in Europe. The seating was very tight, in the main room. The first time I came up for food, there was barely any food left only croissants and yogurt. As i got up for seconds, there seemed to be more food but nothing that really amazed my tastebuds. Another plus to the hotel, if you walk just a couple blocks down about 7 minutes there is a metro station and it does take you to many other places. Employees do speak english, and they mail out postcards to the US for you. All in all, it was great for my first visit to Paris. read more

Second time staying at this hotel. Which I must do for work- unfortunately. The second time I stayed here First- i got to my room and there was no bathtub. I tried calling below but the phone wasnt working. So I took all of my bags downstairs to request a switch to a room with a bathtub. He refused to switch me. He DID send a working phone up to me. The only time it was ever answered was the first time- i called down and asked for two additional pillows- they never came. Then after leaving and coming back for an hour I tried calling the front desk for an hour with no pick up. Finally I was wearing my pyjamas and had to go downstairs to now ask for two pillows and an extra bath towel... she called the people right in front of me but an hour and a half later no one has come to deliver these items. I have tried calling several more times. No one answers. I even tried calling the hotel number from my CELL PHONE. no answer. Seriously the worst service at a hotel I have ever experienced. If I were injured in my room it is good to know NO ONE would come help. Worse than an American airport hotel- and that is saying a LOT. read more

I read the glowing reviews before booking our room at Hotel Mercure Paris Centre Tour Eiffel. What I liked: - Location, location, location. It is only one block away from the Eiffel Tower and within walking distance to the metro station. There are many restaurants, cafes and bakeries near the hotel. - The workers are friendly. - The hotel is pretty secured. You have to ring the doorbell to enter the lobby at night and you have to scan your card to go to your floor via elevator. What I didn't like: - We found out (within 5 minutes) 2 of the electrical plugs by the bed didn't work and the sheet was dirty. They sent an electrician to fix the plugs and we showed him the stain. I asked to be moved to another room because they didn't change the sheet. - We moved to another room and the hair dryer didn't work. They brought me a new hair dryer. - The restroom light shuts off when you are using it. - On the same day the TV stereo wouldn't shut off. The picture was gone, but we could still hear the program. They sent a security guard to help us with that. Weird...why a security guard? - One night we couldn't use the room key. We were able to go to our floor, but we couldn't go to the room. It was late at night and we were so tired :( We had to go back to the lobby and wait for them to reprogram the key. The guy at the lobby blamed it on our cell phones. Seriously? - Separate rooms for bathroom and shower. - The restroom smells every day. I noticed that even when we first walked in. I usually read yelp reviews before going anywhere. This is a comfortable safe and hospitable hotel in a prime location in Paris. The staff are kind and helpful. We have a view of the Eiffel Tower even so it is nice to go to bed with the lit Eiffel Tower in the window. There are a lot of crowds due to our location in the nearby area but the Seine is across the street. The room is small, yes. However, it is modernized and clean with a fridge and a safe for valuables. The morning breakfast buffet is excellent and a good value at 15 euros, on sale. Well aside from the million dollar view from the Eiffel Tower day or night my room didn't have that view because apparently the room for this kind of view needed to be booked with an occupancy of a single person not two!!! Bummer #1 okay so let's get passed that now onto the elevators. The buttons inside are all controlled by outside only so the three options you have inside the elevator is to sound the alarm, and one for open and closing of the doors so three in total nothing else. My mom was stuck in the elevator for an entire hour because when she was on the lobby floor she pushed to stop on the 6th floor and another person riding the elevator pushed to go to the 12th floor the very top...so oddly enough the elevator never stopped on the 6th floor it continues climbing to the very top and the gentleman exited the floor it closed and never moved from there. My mom was trapped not moving the doors wouldn't open and she was calling for help through the alarm button and no response was given! She started loosing air and became very worried, paranoid and closterphobic she continued to call for help she reached someone from maintenance and he didn't speak any English so there was a language barrier because she didn't know french. Now she is beyond upset that she is stuck speaking to someone who can't understand her and vise versa... Nobody else was alerted that she was in an elevator trapped for all this time so until someone trying to board the elevator from the lobby pushed the button to go up is when the elevator started dropping to the ground floor. Once the doors opened she was very frustrated I don't know what she told the staff who was waiting to walk in because I wasn't there to witness this I was waiting for her in the room not aware any of this fiasco was taking place. Telling her version of what happened i the staff and manager was like waiting to be seen at a hospital they made my mom sit and wait for another 30 minutes just to talk to someone and complain that the elevators weren't working correctly. If that wasn't frustrating enough the manager who spoke English asked my mom if she was hungry?! Lol I'm sure that wasn't the appropriate question to ask someone in a fit of rage. She was escorted to her room in a different elevator and again at 2am Europe time this same situation happened to someone else from what the bell hop informed us the very next day. Why wasn't the elevators shut down to find the problem or maintenance??? No idea why the hotel choose to keep running the elevator after it got stuck twice in a matter of two hours; that's my question. Nobody was apologetic it was more of a hassle to deal with an American and hear her bitch and complain since my mom is very persistent especially if something isn't correctly handled. Another crazy incident at this hotel was we were not reimbursed for not sleeping her one night. We had experienced a strike on the plane (Air France) and there were no planes leaving in or out of airports so we were stuck in Venice an additional day so that meant we would not be leaving to Paris for another day which should have been reimbursed for the one night! NOPE it's called natural disaster and these things apparently happen all the time to AirFrance so we lost out on $189 euros ( $205 American Bucks) a pretty penny to loose after going through what my mother went through once we arrived I would say! Another thing about the staff here is that everyone is on the slow lane. Nobody is ever in a fast paced environment to help give maps out.. Asking for a map to take true train, taxi, or bus is going to cost you 20 minutes in wait time just to have them open a drawer and hand it right to you. read more

Our "king" size bed was two twins pushed together. Really not okay. Also, some very basic toiletries would have been nice. Attached to the shower, they provided us with a squeeze bottle of really thin soap, which they claimed was also shampoo?! I never felt clean. At breakfast, the staff awkwardly and inexplicably kept asking us to move our seats. First we were sitting in a large area that they were trying to keep empty for some reason. And then after moving once, they asked us to move again. No idea why. The food at breakfast was really bad, which made our experience even worse. The fruits and meats tasted old. Mercure's redeeming qualities include a clean room and reasonable rates for the area. read more

I spent 2 nights in Paris and wanted to find a hotel with a view. After a ton of searching and review reading, I came across Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower. The rates were really reasonable compared to other hotels in the area that also had that spectacular Eiffel Tower view. Walking into the hotel, you can't help but notice the nice modern boutique like lobby. It is well decorated and very clean. I arrived a few hours before check-in and was informed my room would be ready in 2 hours. They graciously took all of my bags and held them in storage and handed me a map of Paris so I could start my adventure. I'm a member of their Le Club loyalty program and was told I should check back in at the special desk exclusively for their members. Upon returning, I went to check in at the fancy Le Club desk. After waiting for about 5 minutes without being acknowledged, the woman at the desk looked up and snootily told me to go stand in line with everyone else. So to the back of the regular check in line I went, waiting about 15 minutes to be checked in. The room was very small, but it is what you would expect of a big European city hotel room. I opted for a room with an Eiffel Tower view and my view did not disappoint one bit. The wifi was free and fast. Every staff member that I encountered spoke English and was friendly (except for the Le Club lady). I did not order anything from their restaurant, but I did grab a delicious pain au chocolat on my last morning and it was delicious! Make sure to check your bill when checking out. I had read in other reviews that people had extra charges tacked onto their bill. Sure enough, I was charged for 2 breakfasts for every morning that I was there that I never had! I talked to the front desk about it and the woman informed me it was a mistake and I said I would not get charged. She said that if I did find that my credit card was charged, I could call them. I never did get charged, but seriously be sure to check your bill. read more

I am giving this hotel a 4-star review. It is mainly based on location and the lovely view of the Eiffel! This is more of the tourist style hotel with a modern Eiffel twist. If my husband had not requested a room with a view and we would have faced a boring old street, it would have been ranked a three star. The rooms are not big, but they were cozy enough for us. I like that the bathroom is a separate door than the shower and sink. It had a full length mirror, and safe for valuables. I liked the in room hot water boiler for tea and espresso. The tv is not equipped with enough English speaking channels-4 to be exact! The remote control was busted and taped together, and Although we didn't spend that much time in our room for tv- it was three English News Channels only, and 1 cartoon.;/ read more

I am at this hotel through Gate 1 Travel. While the price seems high, it's conveniently located next to the Eiffel Tower (you can literally see it up close, as soon as you leave hotel property). The staff is friendly and courteous. English is not a problem. The hotel is clean and the wifi is pretty fast for being free. The rooms are clean and well lit. They have ample outlets. The only surprising part was the toilet is in a separate room from the shower/sink, which I actually find nice. As a tip, you can ask for a bag scale to check how much your luggage weighs before you get to the airport. read more

I found this gem when I was looking on Expedia for a hotel right next to the Eiffel Tower. This place as definitely a dream come true for many reasons. It was brief walk from the Eiffel Tower which I could also see from my hotel room. My room was rather small, though clean and efficient with refrigerator, coffee maker, and phone that I used as an alarm clock (could not use my phone for a while because I wanted to avoid a big bill). I loved the wall art with the Eiffel Tower on it as well. The curtains effectively blackened my room when I was asleep. It was also nice and quiet at night. The staff was actually very courteous and helpful throughout my stay and made recommendation of where to go for the best chocolate and best macarons. I couldn't find the chocolates, but I did get my hands on the macarons which were truly the very best I've had in my life (another review coming soon on that. Thank you, Dominique!) Housekeeping also very nice even though I really couldn't carry a conversation with her. I actually liked how the toilet and the shower and sink were separate so my hygiene products and tooth brush weren't contaminated by toilet germs.The only downside was that the treadmill at the fitness center was not working, though I really didn't need it because I was walking everywhere anyway. I ordered room service here and they were very prompt the courteous. I had delicious cheeses with a glass of wine. A few helpful tips to make stay easier includes making sure you put your hotel key right on the slot next to the door: this turns on the light and also helps guarantee you don't lose the key. Make sure you place toilet paper in the little baggies provided next to the toilet: their plumbing does not flush down toilet paper and a few times I've stopped up the toilet. This would ensure less frustration and a more enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay at this hotel next time I come to Paris! read more

We chose this hotel because it was the lowest price for the time we were going and it was close to the eiffel tower. There are a few cafes for breakfast, lunch or dinner on the next block. We did not eat at the hotel at all. We checked in early actually and went right to our room, they did not charge us nor was there a line in the lobby. This is a definitly an average 3 star hotel. Pros: Close to the eiffel tower - you get a spectacular view everytime you leave and enter the hotel. Staff spoke english and were nice Hotel was clean and the decor was nice Price was decent for Paris They have free wifi but it was annoying that you had to keep signing back in. Cons: The Rooms are NOT sound proof as the websites states. I heard cars and slamming doors and people all night. We were on the 6th floor facing the back of the building - we did not have eiffel tower views in our room. The room is small but its fine if you are only going back there to sleep. The Elevators scared me a little...seemed old and rattled. Luckily they do have stairs that you can take instead! read more
