I came in as a visitor from college, just out of a mixture of curiousity and desire to get to know God a little better. I had no idea that I would be encountering his presence in that sanctuary and getting baptized in Jesus name on that very same day! What a blessing. The people live by the book (the Holy Bible), and the pastor is a truly gifted teacher & anointed preacher. Also, the members truly know what it means to love one another as Christ has loved us!

Was told by him that he loved me and we were friends. Mostly it was the pastor that turned against me. The famous one won't talk to me. The pastor sent me some very offensive text messages. It was innuendo and suggesting something about me. No questions have been asked at any time. I feel like my character was asinated. Tried to attend and was not allowed. I wanted to have a discussion but the pastor doesn't have the capacity to listen. I believe I have been burned.

Rev Harris was very insightful on her sermon and there were about 100 people in attendance. A beautiful church, very inclusive and very much open to all.

This gem is right at the bottom of College Hill facing downtown Providence + was built in 1774 + 1775. THAT IS A LONG TIME AGO. Stop by to take a peek sometime it is lovely inside + to think how many people have gone in + out of its doors is overwhelming. I went to the Latin Carol sing there the other night + it was just lovely. Plenty of seating... with a beautiful chandelier in the center... felt warm + welcoming. If you like a little history with your prayer, this is your kinda place.

First I was amazed by the beautiful church building and the warm smile that greeted me while entered into the church. I've chatted about what to eat while I'm in RI. Also, during the prayer, a church member invited me over to pray with her. The church seems like they have various ministries for everyone and I was impressed with the deaf ministry and their small but dynamic choir was amazing to hear. Finally Pastor Carlos sermon was power and biblically based and throughout the sermon I experienced Christ's love and grace. Pastor Carlos and his whole family greeted me after the sermon and I was able to have a great conversation. If I lived in the area, this would defiantly be my home-church where I would be able to grow in faith, fellowship and be discipled.

I was given a free ticket to the Christmas concert at the Chinese Christian Church of RI so I took…read moremy friend with me. The ticket is normally $5 which is a really good price for the experience. We arrived about 10 minutes before the show and the ground level parking lot was full, but the bottom one had a couple spots open. When we walked in, we felt really welcomed as everyone greeted us with a warm smile. The room was nearly packed, but a nice gentleman escorted us to a row with a couple seats open, right in the center. Our neighbors were really nice and welcoming, and shared that they attend this church on Sundays and welcomed us to their English service - I felt at home. During the opening remarks, they took some time to express their pain towards the shooting that happened at Brown University, followed by one of their pastors giving a brief overview of the program, and praying for everyone. I really appreciated that they prayed because I have been to some events at churches where they acknowledge where they are, but do not take the time to pray for the event and the world in general. The Wakefield Band was really good. They had about 10 songs on the agenda, with all the songs being Christmas related. The MC introduced every song, and gave the audience things to look out for, mostly the different sounds we'd hear in the upcoming song. The show was about an hour and a half, and after that, we were welcomed to their cafeteria area to enjoy refreshments and encouraged to share our love with others either that night or during the week. They also had stuffed animals to give as gifts for the kids, or to take to give to someone. I was very impressed by the generosity of this event and the kindness each person there showed me and my friend. I will definitely be coming back next year, God willing.
