I've come to quite a few classes, each with different teachers. I love the different takes on Buddhist philosophy and guided meditation styles, but all good, heartfelt, and practical. Daily meditation has definitely changed my life. This is a great center to guide anyone to a more peaceful state of mind or a deeper, spiritual path. There's a very warm and open feeling here. Folks stick around for tea and conversation after class. Another perk I've not found at other places. There is also a small shop that has a selection of books that offer further guidance on the practice of meditation and exploring a spiritual path. I highly recommend checking them out.

Not only are the aesthetics of Santosha immediately calming, but I have always felt welcomed and accepted by the teachers and staff. The front desk employees have consistently been pleasant and helpful--and often drop into the class themselves after everyone is checked in. All of the instructors I've met thus far have been highly knowledgeable, warm and compassionate. Overall, they have balanced explaining poses, breath work and technical aspects of practice with essential core concepts for understanding and deepening one's yoga practice. All of the classes I've attended have been inviting, honest and uphold the true meaning of yoga--unity. I've especially enjoyed the "Energy Healing Clinics" offered monthly (I think it's monthly anyway)--$5 donation for quick Reiki sessions and other energy healing practices. Santosha offers a discount for students as well as military personnel which I think is great--a way to increase accessibility to yoga. The only downside to this studio is that there are relatively few classes offered each week. Nonetheless, Santosha is a wonderful oasis and a hidden gem of Cranston for sure. I booked a…read moreone-hour foot reflexology session with Susie, and from the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed and completely at ease. I met Twinnie and Danielle, who were both incredibly kind and personable. Twinnie shared the story of how Marc of Healing came to be, and I was truly impressed by how they turned tragedy into something so meaningful, spiritual, and healing for others. My session with Susie was wonderful. I've been walking my friends' dog about five miles a day, so the foot reflexology was exactly what I needed. I'm so glad I found this place. I'll be heading home soon, but I will definitely make this a repeat experience when I return.

She also did a spiritual reading and was right on target with what she saw and felt as to what was going on. I was thinking of something a few days before and Nicole actually mentioned it. She is very insightful, kind and wonderful with people. She will put you right at ease. Marc of Healing is such a wonderful place to go. Their gift store has so many great items. I have bought some unique gifts there everyone loved. There are also many other services too like the Himalayan salt room, yoga, and a book club which meets once a month I belong to. My update is in regards to the only gentle yoga class that they offer. Still give the overall…read morestudio 4/5, but this is just for the gentle yoga class. The teacher there, Susie, is extremely knowledgeable and I trust her insight and all of that. HOWEVER, her class is not a gentle yoga class. I've been to that class on various occasions and on some nights, I worked way harder than I wanted to. The pacing was way too fast for me and her cues came off as borderline militant. Nothing about it felt gentle or calming or relax. I left for the most part feeling just ok. Nothing overly spectacular. I almost felt like she was rushing to get as many postures in as possible. And for someone who's a 500 RYT (I think E-RYT, but I can't remember or bother to check), she does a lot more standing up at the front of the class room doing the poses than actively walking around and giving assists. I'm not saying she's a bad teacher. Again, she knows what she's talking about, but I'm not a fan of how the class was formatted or how she instructed it. She felt like she belonged in a power yoga class and not a gentle one. I mean, geez, if that's her version of gentle, I don't want to see what's regular ol' yoga. For me, I need a much slower practice, which requires me to either a) be picky as hell with finding the right teacher, usually an E-RYT 500 teacher who knows what they're doing or b) just take a gentle class. So if you're like me and are looking for those requirements or are simply looking for a relaxing gentle yoga class, this may not be for you. Still give it a try, who knows. We all like different things. I'm just no longer a fan.
