They told me my suit would be ready on Saturday but neglected to mention they close early and that they're closed on Sunday. So I call the lady and she literally just tried to extort me. Saying she would show up if I paid her. I'll just wait. It's for my cousins funeral. UPDATE! The lady apologized and drove all the way over to give me my suit. She did indeed neglect to tell me they close early but she apologized and that's what matters. I tipped her because I appreciated her admitting guilt. Gave her $10 for gas and being nice. I dropped off my bridesmaids dress to get hemmed and asked for steaming to dewrinkle the dress. They ended up pressing it. I picked it up today, Wednesday, it's been there a total of 4 business days, and I paid the $45 they charged me. When I got home and was able to try the dress on I noticed run spots all over my dress that look like stain marks. I called to see what can be done but ultimately just wanted a reimbursement since I had no time to get it fixed being that I am leaving for the wedding I am in Thursday morning. I was told to talk to the owner about this. Spoke to Vera Vartelle, the owner, who refused to reimburse me. She said all she can do was look at the dress and maybe clean it again but other than that they did the services so she won't be reimbursing anything. Also stated that these run marks/stains could have been there prior to dropping the dress off. (The dress was in perfect condition, brand new still with the tag only have tried it on a few times) I begin to get argumentative since I told her over and over that I would not have the time to bring it in since I am leaving in the morning and would just like the reimbursement and she refused. Said they only thing they can do was look at it and clean it again but that was it. The dress was never there for cleaning. Only hem and press and was ruined. Did not want to give my dress back to chance it getting ruined in their hands again. I am stuck having to wear this dress that I paid $200 for, in my cousins wedding as a bridesmaid, with the run marks/burn marks whatever they left in it. Vera told me she has plenty of customers and that my complaint is nothing. But I hope this will help future customers that are thinking of using her for any services to go somewhere else. She owns this business in Apple Valley and one in Victorville as well. I would trust neither. read more

Hello yelpers So I've been to Amber Cleaners about 10 times and by saying that I obviously like the place lol... I bring my blankets here to get dry cleaned and also have brought many of my favorite Miss me jeans, to be sewn up. This place does great work and has excellent customer service. I went to amber cleaner's to alter my daughter's prom dress and the assistant there got her dress dirty while alternating it and I ask her was she gonna clean it and she told me no so I told her I don't want her services and she started to snatch the pins out her dress I told I will take the pins out I am not gonna steal your pins to make a story short I had to calls the sheriff on her she was very rude dont use this cleaners. read more

I hardly ever use a dry cleaner but my seamstress was not available. So in an emergency I took my daughters homecoming dress to Amber cleaners and Apple valley to get it hemmed. I dropped it off and came back in a few days. Only to find out they damaged my daughters dress. The dress I paid $80 for was now scraped up and the hem was already coming undone. It had two big gouges in the fabric that were definitely not there before. And the owner got on the phone because they were not in their actual shop and told me I had to pay for it anyway. The lady that was working the counter was absolutely amazing. She was very understanding and very sweet. But I told the owner that I refused to pay for something that they damaged. Needless to say, if you want your dry cleaning done correctly DO NOT GO HERE! I walked out, didn't pay and will never be back and will be telling everyone not to come here! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Every time I walk in I'm always in a huge hurry cause...well...life, right? And when they see I'm in a hurry, they RUSH like they see I have somewhere to go. I LOVE IT! I gave them a second chance even after they ruined the sleeve on my leather jacket , it had material collar and back, and tried to hide it. Good thing I check my clothes before leaving the cleaners. It was its first cleaning. I never got a, sorry, we'll discount if you come back, nothing. Well, I bring2 dresses, a summer coat and a jumpsuit ( needs hem ) she didn't act like she knew what to do, I said maybe about 4 inches she's like , okay. I said don't I need to try it on so you can measure? Her response was, if you want to. At that point I should have gathered my things and left, lol. Well, I come to pick up my clothes and I'm charged 66.50. I have never paid this much for dry cleaning and piss poor service to boot. So, I give them a zero for customer service, dry cleaning. Had a terrible experience, took black Levi's to get cleaned, when picked up they were faded looked like they had been thrown in the washer, tried to speak to them about it they were horrible with customer service and did not want to help. Will never use again and so rude, the lady at the counter was nice but her boss she was calling(the owner) and her husband were aweful, rude, arrogant,will never use again. read more

I am new in high dessert and looked for the place to alter my dresses. I saw this place and they do the alteration too. I took my dresses in here and wanted to hem them. This place cost me $18 a dress to hem it. It's expensive. Go somewhere else. read more
