Yard/grass was well-maintained regularly and they cleaned the interior of the hallway/building often. They are always responsive when I called or emailed. There was an issue with flushing in restroom and the handy man came same day and took care of it. If you are thinking of renting in Novi, this is one great place to be. The apartments are not newly renovated by any means, and there are some imperfections, and the price is not cheap by any means. We're a family of five (plus our dog), and we're really going to miss this place. We're moving only because our family size has changed we're now just three, and the space is a bit too big for us. Everyone gets a carport and that it's a definite bonus. The complex has standard amenities like a pool and such, but the fitness center is really nice. Small, but available 24/7 and I like to run at night so not a big deal. The only thing to be cognizant of is the heating bill. They are a little on the high side- especially if you use your private stance instead of the central enclosed hallway. There are pet buildings and non pet building which I'm sure helps keep down any disagreements over a barking dog.

Have to call repeatedly, work order gets created then no follow through. Just had an inspection they have pull tab shower heads (pull the tab water come out for 15 seconds the turns off) just learned you have to keep the shower heads on. (Water pressure so low) They Did an inspection on a Thursday noticed the shower heads were off. Came back Monday to make sure they were back on. But none of my maintenance request have been handled. New management and maintenance people every couple months that promise to get things done. Been here 5 years hasn't happened yet!

Not enough value for your dollar, massive rent increase (+25.6% for 7 month lease in August 2021,…read moreand a 51.8% increase for the same 7 month as of 22-DEC-2021)) on the basis of COVID and they didn't raise them during, poor communication between the office and corporate, cheaply "remodeled" units, construction issues (not foundational) everywhere, drafty, thin walls, not well insulated, the garage floods with heavier rains or melting of snow, and insects do not seem to stay outside only. Office will only provide a quote (good for 10 days) for a new lease on the 60 day mark, but may do so earlier upon request. Note that you need to give them a 60 day notice to move out. For 1 months rent, in the case you don't like the lease quote and missed the 60 day notice, was $2288. My previous 14 month rate was $1350 (19-JUN-2020). Don't get caught in a trap. To the office's credit, they do perform maintenance regularly, and the request for maintenance is usually met within two days. Many more issues, but these should be the biggest red flags.
