I was told to pay a certain amount which was more than the amount of my rent when I realized it I confronted them and they decided there was nothing they could do since then they've been cooking their books, adding fees that do not apply and avoiding speaking to us in regards to all these matters. Very convenient apartment buildings. It is right next to 696 and telegraph road. You can walk to gas stations and grocery store if you want. They constantly update the buildings, the buildings are old but because of the constant renovation, it doesn't have many problems. Maintenace respond pretty fast as long as they are not short staffed like during covid. Since it is a concrete building, during winter you don't need to use a lot of energy to heat your unit, because concrete and bricks trap heat during the day. The problems are the dirty tenants. I kept my unit clean and still have some bugs craw in from elsewhere. Also if the trash Shute is full, they just leave trash in the trash room instead of bringing it down to the trash dump. If they smoke weed in their unit, and it can spread to your unit too. Security: they have K-9 unit 24/7 but they can't catch everything. Some dude unfortunately got rob, and someone tried to bring their friend with ankle monitor into the pool. It is in a nice part of Southfield, but crazies are coming from Detroit. read more

Regal Towers is the worst! My mom is in her 70's, stays on one of the higher floors and is currently burning up because the AC is not working. Sent several service request! If it's not an elevator down it's this! How inconvenient and has never not 1 time been late what so ever in the years she has stayed there! What a disgrace! read more

Renter beware. They hold contests every month for five star reviews trying to entice people with raffles and such. The five star reviews are mostly lies. So let's start with the good. My electric bill in the winter is normally 30 bucks. That's pretty much it. The security guys are pretty nice too. The real security guards, not the people in the booth. If you're lucky, you'll hear a lady in the security booth scream on the phone at her baby daddy when you're pulling in. Fun times. To the bad. This place has horrible management. They threatened retaliation if I posted a horrible review when I told them I had no problems going to social media about my complaints. When I asked for their corporate number because I was appalled by the management, I was hung up on three times and was told corporate didn't have a number, just email. When I asked if they didn't use phones, suddenly a number appeared after waiting 15 minutes on hold. Nobody would tell me who I was speaking with before and became rude when I asked for all of the names of who was working. They have unauthorized tenants living in the apartments that they know of, that are dangerous, have had security and the police called on them for fighting in the halls and pulling guns, yet they are still there. You never know what true fear is until you've sat in your kitchen at 2 am trying to get away from the wall of your neighbor while they are brandishing a gun. I do not feel safe here. When asking about how I can break my lease due to this violence continuing next to me, I was just told to put it in writing. Would not answer my questions on how much, or if there was someone I could talk to, just put it in writing. They are very inconsistent. When I signed my lease, I informed them of a time that would be coming up where I would need an extra key and fob pass for three days while my significant other had work done in his house. I was told they could loan me one, no problem and to call them a couple days beforehand so they could get it set up. I happily signed the lease thinking I was in the clear. Then when I do call, I'm told that I would have to pay $55 for a set that is non refundable, but I have to give it back and my significant other can't use it. When I pointed out what was said before, the manager was VERY rude and told me that I had no choice in the matter. This would not be an issue if our schedules were the same, but they are completely different, which is why it was brought up prior to me moving in. I've been lucky not to have bed bugs or roaches, but I have heard horror stories from my neighbors (the nice ones, not the trying to shoot each other ones). OH. Another great part, they monitor their message boards heavily and your post must be approved by them. When the guy set the mail room on fire, I was out of town but a friend called me. When I called the office nobody would tell me which building it was and when I tried to post on the message boards asking if anyone knew, they wouldn't allow the post. They absolutely despise any type of negative commenting. read more

Very dirty! Very poorly managed! I absolutely hate it here. The K-9 units are smug and rude. The staff is always mean- they treat us like criminals. They are ignorant and ghetto. The doors don't have handles, they have drawer knobs- that really hurt when you open them because they are heavy fire doors being opened with a sharp edged drawer knob. This was a nice place to rent, my roommates and I rented for a short term 3 month lease in Jan-Mar 2015, and it was okay. The security booth is really annoying for guests, but sould keep out crazies in the area, but some wander in regardless. Sometimes the elevators wouldnt work in the building which was frustrating. The gym was pretty convienent and I liked the store on the grounds even though I didn't use it. They seemed pretty secure overall as a grounds with the security booth in the entrance, at the gym and the key fobs to get into buildings. They really took a lot of our security deposit though for incedentals that we didnt do, so that was really a huge negative thing because we didnt do much damage in 3 months. read more

As a 5 yr resident of Regal Towers, I'm still very satisfied with the community as a whole. The staff as well as the residents and the things they do to make living here pleasant. Yes, some things could be improved but I know they are making efforts and addressing a lot of issues as they come. I am a happy resident with only one issue. I think that after so many years Regal Towers should have our carpet cleaned at lease renewal as a show of appreciation. Since they raise the rent at each renewal it would be giving us some love back. They cannot be responsible for the actions of residents but I know they address each situation and to be honest, there hasn't been that many. K-9 does their job swiftly and doesn't hesitate to call Southfield PD if needed. If neighbors are being rude/disorderly, it's your place to call K9 or SPD. Most of the admin. staff are still the friendly staff I met when I applied to move here and they are still friendly, caring and as assisting as I need them to be. I've had no issues in my apt. that weren't address quickly after I called for assistance. There is no need to put down Regal Towers Apt when you apparently didn't address your issues properly or promptly. Sorry for your bad experience but to go online and ridicule them is wrong. And as for the raffle, we did not have to rate it 5star. There was no rating at all. Just say what we liked about our community. It was fun spending that $50 gift card for telling the truth. This is a really great place to live. I have a very busy schedule that involves a lot of travel so the location is absolutely perfect. With me not having A lot of time, the staff has always been extremely helpful in addressing any of my needs. One of the things that I like most is that there seems to be no expense spared to making improvements to the properties making it a very pleasant place to live. Convenient living. Lease signed online, I also set up auto-pay for rent. They have a convenient store in one of the buildings that delivers. Just moved from Chicago for work and i LOVE it so far. moved into a new building well maintained, clean. My apartment is small but has everything i need. people is cool in maintenance, they emailed me or called me making sure the work orders are done right (What???? this is awesome). I have a special fob to enter into the building and the apartments entrance. The intercom call my phone directly and i can open from my phone. I moved here 6 months ago. The process of applying was very simple and the leasing staff was super friendly! I was surprised and excited to learn they allow pets and I would able to bring my Yorkie and kitten! I am in the "pet building". At first I was thinking "Why do we have to be separate to have a pet?" When I asked an agent she advised me its their way of insuring people with allergies are protected and people who aren't found of animals wont be uncomfortable. I thought that was neat that they considered us pet folks as well as the rest of the residents too. In the time I've been here I've enjoyed having free access to our fitness center every night after work and being able to go down to the convenience store for small snacks around the house. I love the fact that they have an overnight drop box for rent and important documents! I work during their business hours, so this is a life saver for me! Recently I received an email offering a $5 discount to residents who sign up for auto-pay, so I took advantage of that last month. Overall, its a great place to live. I love that its a gated community and my guests don't mind showing ID at the front gate. My tub was stopped up, maintenance came in less than an hour and were kind and courteous the entire time.
