Spark Energy Complaint…read more I am trying to get in contact with a supervisor or higher-level representative regarding my account. I was told I would be placed on a fixed gas rate since we do not need support with electricity, and that I had 30 days to cancel without any penalty or charges. The representative, Joel, (Oakland, CA) asked me to provide my email so he could send me our information and a copy of my contract. I provided my email, and he confirmed its spelling, but the information never arrived. I waited, and nothing was ever sent--despite him verifying my details. Our experience had been misleading and now have witnessed deceptive practices. Spark Energy is making the cancellation process unnecessarily difficult and inconvenient. I am requesting that my account be canceled immediately, with no penalties, and without any charges appearing on my PG&E bill. If this process continues to be challenging I will be reporting this to better business bureau and public utilities commission. Reaching out to this business was straight-forward, I emailed them and a kind woman called me by phone to setup an appointment. With any questions that she didn't know the answer to, she redirected me to email it so an electrician can better answer my question. I had my appointment scheduled and the gentleman, Doc, was assigned to perform the inspection. Doc arrived on-time, was detail oriented in his inspection, and was very patient to explain his findings and recommendations on what were a safety concern first, and what could be addressed later. He explained things over the phone thoroughly and explained his thought process and was open to any questions I had without being annoyed. Within a day, I received his inspection report, a quote for the project/repairs needed, and pictures of the inspection. He was also easy to reach by text. Doc was professional, courteous, and responsive. The cost of the inspection, I think, was a decent value. I highly recommend Veteran Electric to anyone seeking a safety electrical inspection and I hope I'm able to say the same about their quality of work when I hire them for electrical projects.
