Their prices are very reasonable, so maybe this is why - nowhere else in the West End have I found a cheaper deal than their 4 items drycleaned for a tenner - which includes leather and suade items, and either one dress or jacket per batch. Silk is included too - which is great when you can pay huge amounts at other drycleaners to keep your delicate items in shape (oo-er). The staff were pretty intense- to the point that I wondered if the chap who spoke to me was high on more than just life, but he was friendly and accomodating none-the-less, and very forceful in sharing the box of sweets on the counter. I had my 8 items worth of clothes back in three days, and they were perfectly clean and unstained. Although do smell a liiiittle bit like a new car... hence the 4 stars rather than 5.

I felt like I was in the movie Clerks for a while. It seemed busy enough with folk in and out, and lots of phoning going on but I think they make their money selling computers in bulk (I'm sure there's a more technical name for this like networking or something) to small businesses. The dude did like to talk about and told me all about them rebranding themself as a 'green company' with PC's that use infinitely less energy or something to that effect. I will keep me eyes peeled and consider a purchase if this comes to pass. A no fix no fee policy in here which is good.

When I phoned ML2 they said it sounded like a type of "ransom virus" and had dealt with one just recently. They called at my home within 24 hours and had the machine up and running in about 4 hours. The fee they charged was very reasonable considering it was a Saturday and I needed the machine urgently. Good knowledge, professional attitude, very skilled with excellent response. My favourite, beautiful winter boots were coming to the end of their life - - not only did they…read moreneed reheeled, but resoled and on one zip was dodgey as well. So, I figured I'd go to Timpson just down the road - job done... Not so. Not only did it cost almost half the cost of my boots to get this soleing business sorted (and they were expensive boots!) but they said it would cost a bomb to get my zip replaced - and that they'd have to be sent away for three weeks! No thankyou. So I kept them, and thought I could fix the zip elsewhere for cheaper. I wore them a couple of times after, to try and heal the wound of the loss of my money, and on the third wear, the stitching of the new sole came away completely from the boot and left a massive hole on the side of my shoe! What kind of craftmanship is that? As for getting keys cut there - walk 5 mins up Great Western Road, or down Dumbarton Road and you can get it done at a little independent place for a fraction of the cost. Seriously, don't bother. They take advantage of their prime location to hike up their prices.

This is one of those little shops that takes you right back to your childhood. The sound of the…read moremachines, the smell of shoe polish, the racks of keys on the wall etc... it's like stepping back in time 50 years. Peter, the proprietor, is a very cheery soul who has run it for over 30 years, and likes nothing better than a good blether. He's from the Western Isles so perhaps that explains it. There's very little shoe-related problems that he can't fix, and if it's only a small thing he's as likely not to charge you anything. The standard of work is pretty good, and if anything goes wrong they will happily put it right for you. They also cut keys of course, house keys, car keys (even those new-fangled RF ones) - you name it, he'll probably have a key for it. A new and very useful service that they have, is to replace cracked phone screens, although I imagine they might have to send those away to be done? Still, it's nice to see that being offered. Small operations like this place are getting harder to find in this day and age, so I applaud him for keeping it going. Long may it continue.

My towels are spotless and fluffy, they even removed the mascara marks. The staff are lovely and helpful too with a door to door service. Top marks all round.
