I fully believe that all the 5 star reviews are warranted because initially it was mostly a 5 star experience. But, I caught Amelia at a point in her life where she was not equipped to take on my project. She often made mini rants about needing a new team and a new way to organize her work. I have empathy for that as a self-employed person too, but only to an extent. I was very open and vulnerable with Amelia about my life state. I'd just lost my mom and was approaching a big birthday & I explained to her how much it would mean to have this done before retuning from a birthday trip. For context, we worked together over several months, so it wasn't as if I sprung this deadline on her. Everything was going smoothly for the most part, aside from her being late most days. I went on my 3 week long birthday trip, before I left we had discussed her visiting the apartment several times to mostly finish the job, and leave me with some homework on items I would have to sort myself. My housesitter eventually communicated to me that she hadn't reached out to schedule anything yet even though there were only 4 or 5 days left on the trip. See screenshots. Long story short, she ended up lying, blaming him for not having an open schedule, which is essentially irrelevant because I was FULLY clear that she was allowed to work on the apartment without him there, and my concierge was even OK with letting her in if he wasn't there to do it, as she'd already done that several times. She only recached out to him after I confronted her about progress, with just four days left on my trip. Again, screenshots attached. So, I ended up having to take time out of my trip to leave her very thorough but understanding voice messages. I expressed my disappointment especially since this was already vulnerable for me having to going through m many of my mom's objects. I am writing this six months later and to this day, she has never responded to me. She simply sent me the invoice which is frankly just a brutal way to end an emotional process. I have sent her multiple text messages, called her plenty of times so essentially she left the project without ever doing a walk-through, without an explanation, an apology, no receipts to make returns of certain items that she bought without my approval that simply don't work for me. As if I'm not already dealing with mourning, I have to deal with these inconvenient items every day, and think about this frankly traumatic experience. Post-trip I am happy to honestly say that most of the work she did was impressive, I've never argued that. However if you're someone who has emotions tied up in the organizational process, I would not recommend working with her because even with her undeniable skills, this has caused more damage than I could ever expect working with an organizer. More than anything I'm disappointed in her dishonesty and unprofessionalism, and I would urge anyone who's protective of their personal space and energy to find someone else. read more

Amelia is a gift from the heavens...truly. I was seeking a transformative shift in my life through working on my living space/apartment to expand, bloom where I was planted and call in what's rightfully mine in the universe.  Since I was now doing all of my day to day activities in my space due to the 2020 global health crisis, I began to dread being in my space and seeing all the ways it was limiting and blocking me. I don't know who sings Amelia's praises more, me or my husband. Working with her has been life-changing! Apartment living can be tricky because you are limited by space and what you can do with it. I'm writing this review from the viewpoint from a reformed skeptical husband: My wife suggested we get a consultation from Ameliorate to see how we could get "organized". After a very focused consultation, she spent last bit of time helping us tackle a section of our home in order to give us some ideas. I have a small place and couldn't be much of a pack rat even if I wanted to, but I also love clothes and shoes. I have a pretty small closet and it always felt like such terrible storage design. There are weird back corners that require that you smash your face up against the coats in order to reach, the shelves are funky and the clothing rod just doesn't make any sense. This review is long overdue, but I wanted to make sure I wrote one after my family's amazing experience with Amelia and her team. I found Amelia on Yelp because my family was about to move, and I was about 14 weeks pregnant (extremely sick and nauseous). I had no energy or strength to pack up my home. I recently decided to turn my primary residence in Malibu into a vacation rental over the summer. I felt confident about the house itself, but not so much about the kitchen and the garage. For me to be able to start renting out to a rather demanding vacation crowd I expected for Malibu, I figured that these areas had to be in a very presentable form. I'm an artist and writer, and my husband works in the animation industry. Hiring Amelia to organize our home has been one of the best investments my husband and I have ever made for our quality of life and mental health. Since my space has been transformed I have more energy, am getting better sleep, and overall have had a much easier time KEEPING things organized and clean. What a weight off my shoulders! Do not hesitate, just jump in feet first. Now that I want to start my own business I figured it's time to organize my small apartment, so looked for help from a professional. Amelia made it very easy and painless. Although I don't have a lot of stuff, it has always been spread randomly all over my apartment. Together, we went through every room and closet and I made decisions about what to keep and Amelia took the rest to donate to charity. I can't totally put down in words how grateful I am that Amelia came over and helped me organize my kitchen. I had no idea how much I needed Amelia in my life. As someone who's organized when he wants to be and paralyzed by piles the rest of the time, there is no solution like Ameliorate. In my case, Amelia helped me organize my office and closet. There were piles of things with no homes and many large boxes of miscellaneous things that my brain had no solutions for. Also, two large file cabinets packed full of stuff that weren't files. Amelia moves very fast, and she doesn't stop until the space feels clean and user-friendly. She's extremely good at understanding how an item fits into your daily life (or doesn't) and helping you prioritize accordingly. For those of you embarrassed by your clutter or specific items, Amelia is very non-judgemental and supportive. Having her help is like putting on XRay glasses that allow you to see everything in the room that's important and everything that isn't. For items that had totally perplexed me, she is an instant tie-breaker: in one or two diagnostic questions, she can help you figure out where it belongs and why. In one day, Amelia transformed my office - where I spend 90% of my time. Before, you couldn't use the furniture and boxes blocked access to cabinets; now, there are lots of clean surfaces, usable furniture, and I know just where to find everything. A room that was previously overwhelming is now a breath of fresh air every time I look at it. She's a game-changer. Amelia and her right hand woman, Murray, are miracle workers. We used Ameliorate to organize our kitchen/dining room area at first and she did such a spectacular job we had her come back on separate days to organize the downstairs den, the bedrooms and even the garage! Our whole house was basically one big junk drawer until Amelia arrived and took care of everything. The best thing about Ameliorate is that they're able to create space where space did not previously exist by carefully organizing everything into neat order. She added shelves to the kitchen cabinets for extra storage. They used the perfect containers, storage devices and other various tools to help create more space and establish a much tidier, neater look to everything. She totally organized our massive collection of liquor/bar products into a beautiful display that now looks like a dream. Marie Kondo can eat her heart out! OOOOOHHHH EEEEMMMMM GEEEEEE!!!! this woman is everything ive ever hoped to be one day, but for now ill graciuosly settle with her just being in my life, boy did i strike it lucky when i got a call from her, i mean not only does she organizes & help you declutter your living areaS but she also helps you re-evaluate the trashin your life** wink wink nudge nudge ** (if you know what i mean) i think in life , over time we all pick up nasty or time wasting habits & find ourselves being buried or overwhelmed once were neck deep in our physical messes or metaphorical messes but either way this is the angel for you if your like me and just need a real wake up call& a life coach, a mom, a best friend, a sister, an accountability partner, brain-trainer, shes only just getting started by recomending me take some much needed ME time & i already cant stop raving about her! shes literally like i sid in the beginning shea everything i wish i was & want to be so hopefully heramqazing qualities will rub off on me. i already want this week to go by fast so i can get another Ameliorate session. im not sure if they came up with the Word Ameliorate to describe her, because the play on words is just so perfect. not only was she saying everything that i needed to hear she was also telling me stuff that came from the heart as she had knon me for years, not only will she provide a great service but god willing she will also be a great friendship.. cant wait to get started on all my homework shes give for me to do !!!! xoxo0 read more
