I feel like there was no connection and they wanted to get me out of there. I felt like just another money oppurtunity rather than actual care. It feels like this is the situation with ental Health in general. Anyways they also continue to bill me for things I never purchased. They harass me even though I paid in full without insurance. I was very into enthusiastic about getting treatment at the clinic. I had been following Dr. Amen's work and was convinced that I should visit one of his clinics for my ADD. I went at the end of November 2025 with my husband(which also has ADD. We each paid approximately $3900 for the initial treatment (not including supplements). After we did all the test, they said it would take about two months for us to be able to have our first doctors consult. We didn't have an issue with that as we knew that the holidays were around the corner and we had already started on a supplement regimen(suggested by the website after taking the brain type test). The supplements were working wonders for us, but the real issues started in January. Once we had our first eval's Dr. Johnson read me my Spect results and completely changed my supplement regimen. Mind you it had already been two months since I had started taking the original supplements so at this point, the findings in the Spect Scans would not be accurate. I let the doctor know that it was already on a supplement regimen that was working great for me, and that the only issue that I was having was staying concentrated on one specific task. Even after reading my file where it stated the supplements that I was on and me letting him know that the supplements that I was previously on were working for me he still decided to change my regimen. Immediately two days after I got on the regimen, suggested by Dr. Johnson my mood began to spiral, my stress and anxiety started coming back, and I had signs of depression coming back as well. By the fourth day, I called the clinic to have an emergency appointment so that I could get the regimen fixed. Three days later after multiple vacs and forth, they were able to set up a Zoom call. Dr. Johnson gave me yet another set of supplements still not taking into consideration what I had previously told him except for the saffron supplement. Every time I would change my supplement regimen it was anywhere from $120-$175. Two weeks into this new regimen I was still not feeling as great as I did on the original regimen suggested by the website on March 5. I was supposed to have my second follow up appointment but two days before that I got an email letting me know that I would have to pay another $200 and something dollars for this appointment. When I called the clinic, they let me know that I would have to be paying for this appointment because the emergency appointment that I had to have four days after first evaluation was considered my second appointment and that anything after that, I would have to pay out-of-pocket. They never mentioned any of this during my emergency consultation. Otherwise, I would've been more than happy to pay for the service services. But at this point I felt like I was just being taken advantage for money. They didn't listen to me when I told him my original supplement regimen was working for me, they didn't take in consideration that they were giving me a supplement regimen for a test that they had done two months prior and that would've changed, considering the fact that I was already on supplements from the clinic during those two months. They also didn't consider the fact that my mental health as a patient got worse because of the doctors suggestion. They'd preferred to abandon me as a patient over $200. No consideration, no professionalism, no check ups. The only time I was contacted by them again was about a week later in which I got an email survey, asking how my experience was. I expressed my concerns through the survey and about another week later I got a call from the admin unfortunately she was not able to get in contact with me so I ended up giving her a call back that same day and she was with another patient. I called her again the following day and she had gone on vacation. It is now April 7th and I still have not heard back from anybody from the clinic. I also called multiple times in between March 5 and March 17 to try to get in contact with the clinic Director in which I was always told that she was either in a meeting or not available and that they would give her the information so she could get in contact back, still waiting on them as well. I hope this helps anybody that is thinking about visiting this clinic. Me and my husband are good people (he is also a veteran) that just wanted to be able to find treatment and get better now we are $8000+ in debt with no treatment and a clinic that just left us with no answers. read more

I can't say enough how pleased I am with the care I received at Amen Clinic Dallas! After struggling with cognitive symptoms for several years and trying many different approaches and medications, I was still suffering. Coming to Amen Clinic helped me find the right approach! From the initial greeting by the front office staff to the follow-up after my SPECT scan, everyone I have encountered has been very helpful. Dr. Sangra listened to my concerns, took ample time to explain my scan results and how those results related to my symptoms. Dr. Sangra offered treatment suggestions; however, was never pushy. With the addition of a supplement and a change in a medication I was currently taking to another medication that was better suited for my type of brain, I have noticed significant changes in my symptoms. Since my appointment, Dr. Sangra and his staff have always been responsive to my questions. I would highly recommend (and have recommended) this clinic! read more

Dr Sangar is quite the salesman. He offered no effective treatments and neglected my 11-year treatment for several months because quacks don't have remedies, therapies, or assistance for the conditions he diagnosed my son with. He prescribed my child to take a liquid omega-3 supplement; it's liquid, for Christ's sake, it's nauseating to drink, even for adults; how could he expect a child with ODD to drink that vomit syrup? This salesman prescribed anxiety medication that made my son's anxiety much worse. Dr. Sangar's staff dared to pretend that my son wasn't a patient even though my son's grandparents paid over $5000 out of pocket to pay for my son's brain scan and additional costs for pointless follow-up appointments. This clinic is a scam. They ought to be shut down. I had been a fan of Dr. Daniel Amen for 15 years until I realized that Amen's Irving clinic was a con. This is SCAM....I called today to the office to find out about their charge and treatment they provide for my attention/focus/concentration issue. she asked me lots of questions and told me that just initial consultation and test will charge me $5000, the follow up visits and treatments charges are extra. When I asked her...if I pay more than $5000, what are chances to cure, or improvement. Shen mentioned that It will not be cured, and there is no guaranteed to have improvement in my symptoms. if their initial treatment will not work, then will change treatment plan,( of course with extra charge). I was healthy 3 years ago, I am passing through Menopause.. and I just need to have change in life style and wait. Definatly it will be cured. While SHE mentioned that it will not be CURED.... If I spend $5000 towards change in diet, exercise, that will Definatly give me an improvement. They are in this profession just for money. Do your research before going to doctor. dont blindly follow them. I have a doctor friend, He always talks about how unnecessary charges are applied to the patients. My family has been at the Amen Clinic for over a year and a half to help my daughter following a series of concussions and the anxiety that followed. Before coming to Amen, we spent a lot of time and money trying to follow the unintegrated advice of various doctors who were excellent people and experts in their field but siloed and not wholistic. I had to manage the entire process, transfer knowledge and updates from specialist to specialist and try to figure out what was the best path forward with their different ideas and our limited time and money. The process was slow, inefficient and often felt like they were making educated guesses to see what would work even with prescription medicines, which was hard on my daughter's system. When I found Amen all of that changed. Dr. Kansara immediately ordered brain scans, cognitive testing and DNA testing to see what therapies, both cognitive and pharmacological would be best, taking the guess work out of the process AND giving my daughter encouragement that the trial and error "guinea pig process" would stop. With Dr. Kansara's expertise combined with Amen's science backed process I no longer had to manage the process and could just be her Mom. We were able to prioritize some quick hits to get the success ball moving. I very much appreciated that Dr. Kansara has a wholistic approach and not every solution was a pill! Although Amen is not cheap, I feel our dollars are more effectively spent and the testing has created a trackable baseline that has helped us see progress and understand how her body and brain work better. Dr. Kansara is a rare gem in the field of medicine. I cannot recommend her and Amen enough! read more
