Seeing the old concession stand, plaques on the walls and the vintage decor added to my flashback of the good ole days. Seeing the second floor as an event space was super cool. She was there every step of the way making sure everyone walked down the aisle at the appropriate time. Having lived all over the Country I have been lucky enough to be able to play some truly…read morespectacular Golf Courses that are pristine and extremely expensive. I didn't even rate some of those courses as 5 Stars for various reasons whether it be the price, staff, or course conditions. Indian Springs is a wonderful course in southern Illinois that presents unexpected challenges and forces a player to use all 14 clubs in their bag. It isn't a 5 Star Course based on Bent Grass, hosting a PGA event or towering fairway bunkers but rather due to the prices, owners, and use of the terrain implemented into their design. This is a wonderful course that has various leagues, hosts tournaments, and treats its guests like friends. Most importantly (to me) is the fact that the owners are beyond friendly and extremely hospitable. I love visiting Indian Springs because she makes me feel like family and is genuinely excited to see me and always thanks me for my Military Service. I won't be playing here for a few years as I move to England but I like forward to coming back next time I'm in Southern Illinois visiting.
