This company (and Dan) came highly recommended. When we bought our house our home warranty company sent out another company and we had just kept using them. They weren't terrible and they did their job well; but Dan went above and beyond his "job." Our heat pump prematurely failed this winter and we decided now would be a good time to switch to a gas furnace, Dan did all the leg work. I didn't have to worry about calling the gas company to get a line to our house, he answered all my MANY questions, and wasn't just wanting to sell the most expensive equipment to us. He explained the differences of the equipment and told us the ones that worked best for our home arrangement and that fit within our budget. We are 100% happy and can even monitor how long the system is running, what stage it runs on, and have the option for the fan to circulate (reducing the need for the heater to run as often.) We moved into a house with an HVAC system that was past its usable life and was leaking gas. We worked with American Air Heating and Cooling for the replacement (a very big purchase, for us), and I have to say, they're probably the best contractors I've ever worked with. What impressed me most was how informative, patient and non-salesy Tim was with our purchase. When the estimate was assembled, he actually dropped it off at our house so we could go through questions face to face. We had a lot of questions, especially thinking through sustainability options, and Tim walked us through every one. The crew that did the install was just as attentive, wiping down every last footprint as they walked out the door. I really didn't know customer service like this even existed any more. Great, fast, and efficient installation team. They went out of their way to make the installation as painless as possible. They even put up with all my nosiness and answered all my questions. So far the equipment is operating nice and quiet. The noise of our older system was about 4 times as loud, now I have to check the thermostat to make sure it is operating. I know now why they were voted "Best Of The Best 2019" in Walla Walla. Keep up the great work and soon you will have the HVAC work of the Valley. The owner of the business made a clear, well-considered case for the heating/cooling solution most appropriate to our house and we committed to it. His installation crew put the entire (moderately complicated) system together well within one day, fully explained its workings and departed taking all the trash from the job with them. The crew was efficient, friendly and forthcoming-- very patient with my plethora of questions-- and were the soul of a well oiled installation machine. Precious little wasted effort noted. Dan (company owner) arrived to check the installation the next day and to explain the system and its operation to us. Had a thirty year old system that was inefficient and starting to break down. Called American Air and they were prompt in their quote and very reasonably priced for a split AC/gas furnace system. Dan the owner went over options with me and when the choices were made, installation was quick and very professional. When a small issue came up after install, they were super quick to address and fix it, superb after sale service. No issues as far as the product line goes, American Standard is the same thing as Trane, just lower priced. I would not hesitate to call American Air again and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family. read more

Nothing but good things to say about my experience with American Air! I felt the price seemed fair and they were were freindly and knowledgeable to deal with. We converted from an electric range to gas with there help. They ran a new gas line to the range, installed the stove and hood, then connected the hood venting to the outside roof.
