We were approaching making a difficult decision with our 2 1/2 year Rottweiler, Remington, before we found Kim at American Blue Collar Canine. Before we hired Kim to help with behavioral training, Remington was consistently counter surfing and stealing anything that wasn't nailed down, specifically TV remotes, cell phones and more. With Kim's expert training tools and methods for not only Remington, but for us, we are enjoying time with Remington the way we had always hoped too. Kim was able to train and give us the tools needed to continue with his progression at home. We never would have believed that we could leave things out including food on the counter, and know that it will still be there when we came back into the room. I bought a protection dog from American Blue Collar Canine in November 2017. I spoke with the owner Kim about the specifics I was wanting in the canine. She listened to every detail and when she was doing her evaluation, she called with the couple that actually tested out. I've never had a person involve me in the decision making process as she did (I was grateful). Because I live out of state this made it nice because I still was involved. I feel her prices are fair, and the training she does is unparalleled. I have had Sampson now for about a month and he patrols the property and alerts when someone shouldn't be here. I would definitely recommend American Blue Collar to anyone who needs a good dog trainer! I had trained my 1 1/2 year old dog, Ginny, when she was a puppy, but now as a busy college student I no longer had the time to continue working with her consistently nor socialize her properly. I want to give a great big Thank You to Kimberly for the success my dog Gruff has become. Before we went to stay he was a natural disaster. He didn't have any obedience. He was always jumping up on people and rushing the door when people came over, now he goes to his"place" when told and stays there until released. Gruff was determined to test my patience daily with his persistence to not listen to me, but Kim taught me how to work through these issues with him. I sent my black lab Taz to American blue collar Canine for her problem of getting along with other dogs. Talking to Kim she explained things very clearly to me of what my best course of action would be. I sent my dog to her for the 6 week in kennel training. When I got my girl back she was well behaved. Does all her commands just telling her once. Kennels up better then she ever had before and the best part is she no longer has problems with other dogs.
