I was shopping for 50 balloons for an event a work. Upon entering store I was met with a "welcome, how may I help you?". I like good customer service and warm greetings when shopping. I explained to the young man assisting me exactly what I needed. Within five seconds, he gave me a quote which was $50.00 to $125.00 less than I had just been quoted at three other stores I had just visited for fifty balloons. Unsure if I made myself clear and the price I had just heard, I repeated that I need 50 helium filled balloons and again, the store employee repeated the price which made me very happy as I was paying for these balloons out of my own pocket. I placed my order and picked up the 12 inch, latex filled balloons the following morning. Great service, clean and well stocked store and awesome prices. Why go anywhere else? read more

It's my first time buying balloons around Downtown area, and I have gained a lot of knowledge on it! I was researching for decent helium balloon stores around Downtown LA area. Some of the reviews for the other stores were scary. Then, I came across American Celebrations and decided to give it a shot! They have a website with all the price listed. They are legit. They also accept credit cards and provide itemized printed receipts! They have so many balloons, party supplies, and piñatas! It could get overwhelming to look through all the boxes of balloons, but they are arranged by categories. I looked through the balloon boxes and grab the Mylar balloon I wanted, then I asked for 3 more regular latex color balloons at the counter to accompany it. Diana there was amazing! She's friendly, knowledgeable, and speaks fluent English! I learned so much! I even got her opinion on color choices. She inflated the balloons for me right away after payment and attached ribbons to them. I could even choose the ribbon color! The Cheetah Print Mylar balloon I got was only $1.50, and it's $2.00 to inflate. Mylar balloons typically lasts 3-4 days. The regular latex balloons inflated are $1.50 each. They usually only last for about 6 hours, but mine ended up lasting longer. Make sure you get the balloons the day off, and try not to store them in the car for too long. Another huge bonus is that parking on side street was very easy! I love this place and will come back again for more balloons!! read more

Amazing spot! The staff is super friendly and very helpful! The woman who helped me decide the colors was patient and even blew up some balloons so I could see the actual colors of the balloons! She didn't have a specific color so she advised me to check out the spot next door which I loved that she was really looking out for my needs! I will return! American celebration is pretty awesome. Defintley a diamond in the rocks. We purchased a power ranger piñata for 15 dollars, two huge bags of candies for 13 dollars each, three sets of 8 goodie bags for 3 dollars each. At the end of the purchase, we got a free piñata stick along with a bandana!! The customer service was amazing. Very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They have a huge selection of piñatas, candy, goodie bags, toys, candles, balloons, and party stuff to match the theme of the party. We bought a dinosaur pinata, a pinata stick, 3 packs of different bouncy balls to fill pinata and a pack of little party favor notebooks for $41. The sales women were extremely helpful and nice. Lots of stuff to browse and inspire for DIY party planning. We parked about a block away on Olympic Blvd on a Saturday morning before noon. It was definitely worth the drive and time. I was there today, so excited I left my phone in the car, I wish I had my phone so that I could have taken some pictures. This store is very clean and well organized. I go to Joker's another party store first as I always do, Joker's is great also, however they sell some different things here. They sell plates, paper and plastic, plastic forks, knives and spoons, tablecloths, cups, ballons and helium and much, much more. The people that work here are the nicest, helpful, friendliest people, if they see you looking for something they are at your side asking if they may help you. There were things I did not see on the shelves and they kept going to the storage room to look and each time they came back with the item. They did this several times always with a smile and they carried the items to the front counter for me. Once I was finished shopping they walked me to my truck and put my items in the truck, thanked me again for shopping with them said they were happy I came and that they looked forward to my next time and said goodbye and have a great day. They make you feel special. They don't have public restrooms, however they did let a customer take their little kid to use the employees restroom. How cool! good place to buy party decor! and i was amazed how long the helium from the balloons last. i bought our lightning mcqueen balloon on dec 24th and as of today, jan 13, it's still floating! a little deflated but it's touching the ceiling. they don't use cheap helium here! it costs $.75 to fill the balloons but it's worth it if it stays up this long! read more

i am SHOCKED this place got all 5 star reviews...ummmm did i catch them on an off day?! went in looking for giant number balloons for husband's 30th birthday. wanted a gold 40 inch "3" and "0" but they were hung pretty high and the numbers were all over the place so you had to flip through them but when they're high you can't reach. i went to the check out 4 times trying to get them to help me. first time i asked if they had any in the back bc it seemed like they didn't have it but i wasn't sure since i couldn't reach so manyyyyy columns. it literally goes like 20 feet into the air. they said "whatever's out is out we dont have any in the back" um okay but can you help me look and confirm that it's not just hung higher?!?!? dude... finally the last time i came back to the register I asked if i can have one of those hooks which again are extra long in this store bc so much is hung so high and like awkwardly checked for myself. dude. you guys are SUPER LAZY and had the most awful service. yea you have so many things but i would never come back. in fact i went to my car then came right back and bought some extra stuff bc i never want to come back and deal with your employees again. ew. read more
