Same day service, I needed some jackets pressed. I called and they took care of me, service was great!!

I am very disappointed of how this place turned in to. I walked in today and brought my heavy comforters, the place is filthy. The staff was busy looking at her phone. She should at least sweep the floor. I used to like bringing my heavy comforters there because the place was clean and smells so nice and fresh but today is unacceptable! Am Drycleaners has nice front desk employees and do ok work. Dress shirts come back with broken buttons and wrinkled plattes. Worst of all, they are closed on Tuesday and Thursday. read more

My boyfriend had a horrible experience at this Drycleaners. He left his shirt and pants to be washed and ironed on 5/22/ 2018 and was given a receipt to pick up on 5/24/2018. When he arrived on 5/24, he was told the shirt was not ready but the pants were and to return on Saturday, 5/26. When he returned on 5/26, the shirt is not found and the staff were looking for it and couldn't find it! This is extremely upsetting and unprofessional! The dry cleaners told him if he can provide a receipt of the shirt he can get $20.00 refund, the audacity for the staff to say that when the shirt cost more than 20.00 dollars. Horrible customer service, unprofessional rude staff, and clothes end up missing. Don't risk it! read more

American dry cleaners is expensive, unreliable, and they get nasty if you complain about lost items! They destroyed a knit sweater we bought in Iceland, lost one of my husband's expensive suits, and damaged a pair of my pants only to deny it! When I complained about inaccuracies in our billing I was told that what we sent to the dry cleaners was not valuable and our business is not needed! I had to constantly call them and personally would never recommend them to anyone! read more

The customer service is absolutely horrible. I have been to the Emmaus one and Allen st location. I have emailed the "manager" 5 times and have gotten no response. My wedding dress got ruined because of a leak in our apartment and I need an email from them for my insurance. I will make sure no one I know will ever come here. This shouldn't even be called a business. This is the most pathetic establishment. read more

I am so disappointed in the lack of customer service and ethics with this business. My husband has been a customer for over 20 years, solely bringing his dress clothes to them week after week. My husband recently dropped off one of my Lilly Pulitzer dresses to be cleaned. When we got it back, I noticed that it was ruined by a large iron mark on the front of the delicate fabric. My husband took the dress back to them to report the damage and get reimbursed for the cost of the dress. The manager's response was that we needed to have a receipt for the dress, despite having the sales tag. I drove the hour to the nearest Lilly store to get a reprint of my receipt. Today I was told that despite having the receipt, they would only give me $60 for my dress and that if they pay me for it they would keep it. I am distraught over the loss of this dress! It was a piece that I really wanted that my mom and I hunted down. It is no longer made or available for purchase. Even worse is that the manager seems to have no empathy and no desire to make this right! I fully believe they intend to sell the dress if I would allow them to keep it. This place is "The Bomb". I've lived in the snootiest areas around the country - filled with perfectionists, but this operator would be best of class anywhere. I love "Manly Mondays", mens laundered shirt specials for like $1.25/shirt. But beyond the price: awesome staff, fresh coffee, bowls of candy for both adults and kids, automatic door opener, circular parking, paperless pickup and drop off. Simply the best. If your picky (and I am) you'll appreciate this place. read more

Very Bad experience with this dry cleaners. My black jeans are not black any more. The cleaners faded my jeans. And when I called to asked them about it, the lady on the phone said "we are not responsible for color fade". Anyway, I will not be back there. read more

I can tell you first hand you don't want to waste your money here. Clothes that come right from the washer smell like cologne and man funk, made me question what's the whole point? clothes go in then come with brand new STAINS . Yes, STAINS "normal" rust from the washers. And if that doesn't deter you they don't even try to get it out somedays because they have "so much work". Definitely don't take their time or care I promise you I've been on the other side (meaning I've worked there and watched them send shirts with brand new stains right back)I know how things should be done and I'm disgusted with the quality so I say don't even go into their coin laundry. read more

American has been around in the L.V. for many years and for a long time enjoyed a good reputation. However in last couple yrs. it's very clear that their level of svc. has slipped badly. For example i recently tried to use their advertised "pickup and delivery" home svc. The good news is that they said they would pick up my cleaning on a Mon. (after multiple ph. calls). However, they didn't show up Monday, Tues. or ever! Nor did they ever call to tell me why they didn't come. Very disappointed and have had to take my cleaning business elsewhere. read more

I was a regular house - account customer for many years and have witnessed the rapid decline in the quality of laundry and drycleaning services. First, shirts and pants were regularly coming back with multiple creases and with pressed-in wrinkles making the garments unwearable until being re-cleaned. During my last pick-up, two of my new shirts had multiple buttons broken; an expensive dress shirt was lost and despite several in-store reports, the manager never returned my call. My wife's wool coat was returned covered in dog hair after allegedly being drycleaned. It has become obvious that they no longer want (or deserve) my continued patronage. read more

We've been coming here for years. Even after a change of ownership, the staff is still courteous and helpful. My slacks were dropped off to have the hem taken up. It took longer than expected. They tried to track down the ticket & it took them a few weeks. When I finally got them the manager told me there would be no charge. They handled this problem in a professional manner. I've not had any issues since then and have been pleased with the service that this dry cleaners have give to us. read more

Finally received my dress 5 days after the date I was told it would be ready. Made 3 trips to pick it up and told it was not there. Made extra trip to main location to personally get. Voiced my issues and concerns and said I expect compensation for my inconvenience. Was told Management would give me a call. 9 days later I still have not heard from them. Worst customer service -left 2 messages regarding Express bag service and calls don't get returned. Signed up for the VIP express bag service and bags don't get returned when you pick up your dry cleaning. Bags have a tag in them which is linked to your credit account which had your credit card registered to it. Common sense would say you don't want those bags with labels to go to someone else or they could charge to your account. They don't call back when I asked to speak with them about it. Would like to cancel this service but you can't do it online and nobody will speak with you. Horrible service read more

I've taken items here for cleaning in the past and never had a problem. Then this past November I dropped off a blazer and when I went to pick it up a few weeks later, I was handed a shirt that did not belong to me. The associate looked for my item but was unable to find it. She said she'd leave a message for the manager and that I should call on Monday (this was on a Friday). I called and got voicemail. I left a message and didn't get a call back. I went back a few days later and the same associate was there. She said she'd alerted the manager and that she'd be calling me the next day. Never got a call. I called two more times, left messages, never got a call back. I went in a third time, was told the manager couldn't find my item and that they'd compensate me for it. I had purchased a replacement blazer. I took the receipt in and was told the manager had to process the transaction and that she wasn't there. I went in again, the next day and finally got reimbursed. Not only did they lose my item, but no one could be bothered to call me back or go out of their way to help me or rectify the situation, I had to chase them down. Poor management, poor service. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I felt bad for the associate, I think her name was Jess. She had to be the one to deal with the issue when it was really the manager's responsibility and she couldn't be bothered. read more

I took my daughter's wedding dress here to be cleaned and pressed before her wedding. It was a floor sample so needed to be cleaned. They told me it would take two weeks and it took five and I had a really hard time getting anyone to return my calls or give me an answer as to when it would be ready. Finally because it took so long they had it shipped to Allentown from Philadelphia and then were supposed to press it in the Allentown store. They did give me a discount but when we took it out of the bag (three days before the wedding) we realized it had been ripped and not pressed at all, plus there were some pulls in the silk. Luckily we were able to repair it and steam it ourselves but the whole experience caused a lot of stress before the wedding. I would not recommend this store to anyone. read more

My husband and his family have been customers here for many years. I normally take my clothes to a dry cleaned in Emmaus. However, I decided to give this place a try. For the first cleaning since being purchased, I took my comforter to American Drycleaners in Allentown. I was told by the customer service representative at the counter that it could not be dry cleaned and that it would need to be washed and dryed instead. I was told that this would not be a problem. My husband picked it up a few days later and after taking it out of the package, I discovered it to be all wrinkled and snagged. I called and left 3 messages for the manager. My husband also stopped by and was told that the manager would need to get back to me and again-call not returned. In my opinion, a company that claims to have a great reputation and exceptional service, should at least return a phone call. A proper business would own up to their mistakes and offer to reimburse for the damaged property. read more
