This place is awesome for 40+ women who want to feel sexy and stylin' but are *so* over the body-squeezing, flaw-showing, tight-tight-tight clothes that you so often find when you want sexy and stylin'. My mom was in need of a serious style makeover--stuck in the mom-and-grandma rut of sweatshirts and wearing-out flannel. We took her to Chico's and the staff was absolutely great. They're more than willing to give style guidance without being pushy OR falsely-flattering. My mom now has a quintessential Little Black Dress (at age 62, this is her first). She looks fabulous and beautiful in it. (I'm so proud!) Chico's has fun, flirty and relatively modest (we did find my mom a "church-cleavage" shirt...rawr!) clothing for older women that doesn't veer into matronly. It's more boutique-like, so the selection isn't so overwhelmingly huge that it's impossible to make a decision (this, ehem, might be an issue in our family). We got mom a gift certificate for her birthday, so I guess another shopping trip will be in order soon.

It was a slow Monday, only 1 other customer in the store. I was greeted within 30 seconds of entering the store. And the sales staff helped me find the style (straight leg), fabricate (soft, slippery) and waistband (drawstring, no elastic) I wanted. It, however, was not available in the color I needed. She set my purchase up for delivery to my home, at no extra cost. In store pick up is available as well. I already received FedEx confirmation that I should receive my package tomorrow. The only thing they could improve on is dressing room cleanliness. The floors always feel dirty to me. But this is true at Walmart or Kohl's too.

It is basically like Burlington or TJ Maxx. I visited the store on Sunday, November 17th early evening. The store was busy. It was a little messy as in products are displaced on the shelves, some have fallen on the floor - typical environment for these kind of stores. Staff members where available throughout the store, but they were more focus on putting out products or ring up customers and move onto the next. It's retail, it's busy, it's understandable. You can definitely find gifts for value. I saw some holiday gifts that I would come back for. Otherwise, they have lots of clothes, beauty/spa products, toys, suitcases, snacks, perfume, bags, and more.
